I've received some pushback on my report and I see how the reports are an onslaught ... just like with Ebola ... it too was false hysteria as only 5,000 people died from Ebola since the current outbreak of the virus began sweeping through Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia. Congo population 92 million people; again hardly an epidemic that was pushed and declared one.

Ebola hemorrhagic fever first appeared in Zaire (currently, the Democratic Republic of the Congo or DRC or Congo) in 1976. The original outbreak was in a village named Yambuku near the Ebola River after which the disease was named. During that time, researchers identified the virus in person-to-person contact transmission. I understand why this current hysteria is hard to refuse when so many are scared and hysterically reporting the doomsday disaster coming. The numbers for the current hysteria of the coronavirus is hyped and may just be a political ploy by the Chinese govt. Today they report 42 deaths in 1.3 billion people. Hardly an epidemic. Remember Ebola and Zika – they inspired terror. Some say the new Wuhan virus should be renamed calling it XZ-47 virus, or something scarier. However, measles in the Democratic Republic of Congo killed 5,000 people in the past year – more than twice as many as Ebola. Yet many Americans no longer fear measles as it has received little attention. Dr Schaffner reports at USAToday - it's just a blip compared to influenza:

Passionflower Heals Cancer Cells

1-7-20, Herb.com -- The genus Passiflora is composed of more than 500 different species of plants, most are used as ornamentals. Commonly called passionflowers or passion vines, these plants are well-known for producing brightly colored flowers. 

However, passionflowers aren’t just intended for visuals; research suggests that these plants also possess a variety of medicinal properties that make them potent sedatives, analgesics, antidepressants, anxiolytics and only recently, evidence has emerged of a Passiflora species having cytotoxic potential against different cancer cells.

In a study published in the Journal of Medicinal Plants Research, Brazilian [common habitat for Passionflowers, Brazil & Argentina, Zone 7] researchers investigated the cytotoxicity of various Passiflora species using cancers of: colon, ovarian and leukemia cell lines. Of the 14 species of the flower they found that the plant Passiflora alata [red picture above], also known as the winged-stem passionflower, is rich in flavonoids with anti-cancer properties. These compounds proved to be highly cytotoxic to the leukemia cell line HL-60; but not to normal cancer cells, suggesting a selectivity to cancer cells that could prove beneficial in clinical settings. The winged-stem passionflower kills cancer cells but not normal cells. The researchers believe that the cytotoxic activity of ELPA is linked to the presence of the 10 flavonoids they have identified. They also reported that ELPA-treated cells showed signs of apoptosis (programmed cell death) and necrosis (death due to lack of blood supply), with cell cycle arrest in the G2/M phase.

Based on these results, the researchers concluded that the cytotoxic activity of ELPA against cancer cells may be due to the synergistic action of flavonoids in it, which induces cell death by apoptosis and necrosis. 

Today, Passiflora plants like P. incarnata (purple passionflower) are made into herbal supplements that help treat seizures and hysteria. They are also available as infusions, liquid extracts, teas and tinctures. According to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH), passionflower supplements are generally safe for use. However, they may cause minor side effects like drowsiness, dizziness or confusion. Pregnant women are also cautioned against using supplements with passionflower as they could induce contractions. To avoid possible interactions with any medication you are currently taking, consult your health care provider before using passionflower remedies.

      With us this morning is a pastor who embodies the miracle of faith and the power of prayer: Reverend Gerald Toussaint from Louisiana.  Reverend Toussaint is an Army veteran, a truck driver, and a pastor.  He leads the same church that his father led, Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, which has been a pillar of the community for more than 140 years. Last year, Mount Pleasant was one of three African American churches in Louisiana that was destroyed in a fire set by a wicked, hate-filled arsonist.  Yet, in the wake of such shocking evil, America witnessed the unshakable unity, devotion, and spirit of Reverend Toussaint and his entire highly spirited, beautiful congregation.  Families quickly came together in prayer.  Soon, people from all across Louisiana came to help any way they could.  Americans in all 50 states and 20 different countries heard about it and they donated more than $2 million to help rebuild Mount Pleasant. 
 
     On Easter Sunday, just days after he lost his church, Reverend Toussaint preached about what it all meant.  What does it mean?  "The Easter season, is a fitting metaphor for recent events.  It was dark the day that Jesus was crucified.  It was dark  [at]  night when they burned our church.  What has happened since is like a resurrection."  Old things are gone, but it's going to be a brand-new start, and it's going to be better than ever, Reverend.  (Applause.)  Better than ever.  Fantastic.  You know, the Reverend says that we're rebuilding because that's what Jesus does.  He rebuilds, He lives, and He breathes.  It's what He does.  He wants it to be rebuilt. 2-5-20, * -- Many people believe that, if we are truly in a state of “letting go,” we will be able to cease from striving and struggling.  However, the Lord Jesus said that we are to “strive” to enter the narrow gate to eternal life (Luke 13:24), not to sit by and wait to die so we can gain heaven. By striving, He means that we should be diligent, active earnestly making every effort to overcome our sinful tendencies, in order to prove that we are truly His children. He said, if you love Me obey My commandments! [John 14:15]

We are also to strive to do the work of the kingdom, whatever form that takes in our lives. This is the reason He gives us spiritual gifts, so that we can edify one another and bring glory to Him. [Romans 12:6-8]

The Christian life is a spiritual battle which the Bible exhorts us to prepare for and wage diligently. “Fight the good fight of faith” (1 Timothy 6:12); “Endure hardship . . . like a good soldier of Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 2:3); “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes” (Ephesians 6:11). Letting go, in the sense of sitting back and watching events unfold however they may, is not biblical.

All the things we are to do, we do by the power of God and not on our own steam. The truth is that working at “letting go” is just as much as an effort-filled work as anything else we tr.  [John 15:5] There's a positive reason for struggling—it is good for us; it's God’s plan that helps us grow, mature and gives us strength to endure. Struggles are just one of the ways He strengthens us for the hard things life throws at us. Trials will prove that our faith is worth much more than gold that can be destroyed.

The Bible never tells us to “let go and let God.” There are  many commandments about what we are to do that it completely contradicts the way most people interpret “let go and let God.” The popular idea of “letting go” is to adopt a sort of spiritual inertia wherein we do nothing, say nothing, feel nothing and simply live, allowing circumstances to roll over us however they may.

Our successfully enduring trials show that we will be given praise and honor and glory when Jesus Christ returns. 95% Votes Counted: Iowa Caucus Buttigieg Winner
2-5-20, NBCNews -- The Iowa Democrat Party has released partial results from the state caucuses showing the 32 yr old homosexual and former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, Pete Buttigieg and current 78 yr old Senator from Vermont Bernie Sanders at the front of the pack — with 95% of the votes counted. Iowa's Democrat voters gathered at 1,700 sites on Monday, 2-3-20 only for the count to be thrown into disarray when "inconsistencies" delayed the reporting of results - some calling it a Democrat failure and fiasco. As the delay stretched on into Tuesday, candidates came out to give speeches that sounded a lot like declarations of victory despite no numbers to support or refute them. The state has 41 pledged delegates up for grabs; in 2016 Ted Cruz won the Republican Iowa Caucus - so clearly this early event is not a declaration of the November 2020 winner.

On Caucus night 2/3/20 FiveThirtyEight's Nate Silver said, "Getting past midnight Eastern with 0 results officially reported kind of feels like the point of no return for the Iowa caucus."  [Salon.com said caucus should be done away with -- ha ha - Dems failed at it so must remove it!]

12-31-19, John D. Morris, PhD -- Just before Christ ascended into heaven [Acts 1:11], His disciples asked Him, “Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?” (Acts 1:6). Christ refrained from answering their question as they had hoped, but in His wisdom He used the occasion to teach them that some information is for God alone, including the “times and the seasons.” In our finiteness [limit to our knowledge], we are unable to handle too much information; and should we know even a small part of the “knowledge [which] is too wonderful for me” (Psalm 139:6), we would use it improperly.

Isaiah taught the same lesson many years before: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9) God has graciously revealed enough that we know He has a wonderful plan, but the details are known by Him alone. They are under His “own power,” or authority. Certainly He knows the future, but more than that, He controls it. And why not? He created time (Genesis 1:1); surely He can exercise authority over it.

Surely the “Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last” (Revelation 22:13) can control the destinies of individuals and nations. “Power” to work out His good pleasure rests solely with “the only wise God our Savior . . . now and ever.” (Jude 1:25)

Although this “power” is His alone, His promise to the disciples that “ye shall receive power" [a different word than that in verse Acts 1:7, here meaning strength]” and has been fulfilled in the person of the Holy Spirit. We have what we need to be “witnesses” of that which we know of Him to “the uttermost part of the earth.” [Acts 1:8] Source

1-29-20, US Customs Border Protection, SAN DIEGO —U.S. Border Patrol San Diego Sector and partners have exposed the longest illicit cross-border tunnel ever discovered along the Southwest border.  The discovery in late August 2019, Mexican law enforcement identified the tunnel entrance and members of the San Diego Tunnel Task Force (SDTTF).  It is concealed by a small industrial building, the tunnel travels north into the U.S. bending slightly west and extending an astonishing 4,068 ft. from the border, with a total length of 4,309 ft at 70 ft depth; over three-quarters of a mile.  The next longest tunnel in the U.S., discovered in San Diego in 2014, was 2,966 feet long. FoxNews -- Two Mexican nationals were arrested in Arizona this week after another tunnel was discovered on southern US border with Mexico. It was found in the town of Nogales in December 2019. Authorities also found and seized nearly 200 pounds of methamphetamine, nearly 2 pounds of white heroin, close to 3 pounds of cocaine and more than 6-and-a-half pounds of fentanyl. Two men, Jovany Robledo-Delgado and Jesus Martinez Selgado, both from Mexico, were arrested and one vehicle was seized.
