USA Schools Bringing High Achievers Down to Level of Mediocrity
6-13-22, FRONTPAGE -- Honors Programs are being eliminated or considered for elimination on the premise that they discriminate against the non-gifted that mostly fall into minority groups. It's being done in the name of equity. The theory behind the “deleveling” of subjects such as English, social studies, biology, math, science and history to make all feel equal. In the highest-performing school district in Rhode Island, Barrington High School has been in an uproar over the cancelation of such courses. Many of them have since been restored. The school had been moving into a “one universal design for learning,” or one curriculum for students of varying abilities. The “universal design” is seen as a way to offer equal access bringing the gifted down to the level of the ungifted.

​What can we expect from the gifted students who literally have been canceled in the name of sub-standard and average students whose mediocre cognitive template becomes the standard used to adjudicate all disputes and determine operational values they must adjust themselves to? The toughest of giants among the gifted will transcend the cult of mediocrity that enshrines the working philosophies of K-12 government schools. Those among them who are self-motivated, self-directed and have self-contained egos will see in reason the malarkey behind this egalitarian equity movement.  They will adduce themselves as evidence of the utter stupidity of the ways in which they are being forced to dwarf their minds into twisted pieces of putty to fit the one-size-fits-all programs for the cognitive ballasts designed to weigh them down.

The de-levelers attempting to abolish honors programs for gifted and talented students, are inverting that pyramid of ability by reducing all of humankind to the lowest common denominator of its least competent members. They are attempting to grant equal rewards for unequal performance. The enterprise is an egregious attempt to glorify mediocrity on the grounds that individuals from certain demographic groups are either congenitally incapable of aspiring to achieve the level of excellence that would be demanded of them to gain entrance in stand-alone honors programs, or (as has been alluded to by several educators) black students simply do not see themselves in such programs because not enough people who look like them are enrolled in said programs. 5-18-22, Guardian -- Nearly half of baby formula in the US is bought under the WIC program, aimed at helping low-income families. States exclusive contract rights for this formula is given to one company, ABBOTT in Michigan that was shut down by the FDA... The FDA is allowing Abbot to reopen with certain conditons. Some states are facing more severe shortages: Tennessee, Texas and Iowa had more than 50% of the top-selling products out of stock..

5-17-22, Independent Sentinel -- USA govt will ease “some” of the energy sanctions on Venezuela. Chevron will be allowed to negotiate for oil from the state-owned firm PDVSA. It should help a brutal dictator build his slush fund. He uses some of that money to send people to the US illegally. Chevron is the last major US oil company still operating in dictator Maduro’s Venezuela. The US claims the request came from Maduro’s opposition leader Juan Guaido.  How convenient. =>

6-5-22, Kim Dotcom* --  The future isn’t what we’re hoping for. It's worse than most can imagine. The United States has not had a surplus or balanced budget since 2001 [GW Bush was President, Republican, took over from Democrat Bill Clinton who had a good relationship with Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, Republican]. In the last 50 years the US only had 4 years of profit. In fact all the profit the US had would not be enough to pay for 6 months of the current yearly deficit. So how does the US pay for things? Govt can only raise the money it needs by printing it. That causes inflation; it’s like taxing you extra because you pay more for the things you need and all your assets decline in value.
The reason why the US has succeeded in doing this for so long is because US dollar is the world’s “reserve currency.” Nations everywhere hold USD as a secure asset. So when the US Govt prints trillions it's robbing Americans and the entire world; it’s the biggest theft in history; following is the reality:

• Total US debt is at $90 trillion.
• US unfunded liabilities are at $169 trillion.
• Combined that’s $778,000 per US citizen or $2,067,000 per US tax payer
• The total value of ALL companies listed on the US stock market is $53 trillion. The real value is much lower because the US has been printing trillions to provide interest free loans to investment banks to pump up the stock market. Most of the $53 trillion is air.

The value of all US assets combined, every piece of land, real estate, all savings, all companies, everything that all citizens, businesses, entities and the state own is worth $193 trillion. [also full of air just like the US stock market] Let’s do the math:

•  US total debt $90 trillion
•  US unfunded liabilities $169 trillion
•  Total Debt: $259 trillion
•  Minus all US assets: $193 trillion
•  Balance: < - $66 trillion >

Even after all assets in the USA have been sold off there remains $66 trillion of debt and liabilities. So even if the US could sell all assets at the current value [which is impossible] it would still be broke. The US is beyond bankrupt – she’s already dead and now a zombie.
Why hasn’t everything yet collapsed? It’s all perception, denial and dependency:

• The perception is that the US has the largest economy and the strongest military in the world; but in reality the US is broke and can’t afford its army.
• The denial is that all nations depend on a strong USD or global markets collapse.
• The world depends on the USA perception of wealth. 

​The US zombie keeps going because the end of the US is the end of western prosperity and an admission that the current system failed as a model for the world. It doesn’t change the reality; the collapse is inevitable and coming.

6-9-22, Sputnik News [more] -- The former Ukrainian Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights, Ms Lyudmila Denisova was removed from her post as human rights ombudswoman for spreading misinformation. As Newsweek reported [here] in the days that followed the number of reasons why Denisova was removed, including "the numerous details of 'unnatural sexual offenses' and child sexual abuses in the occupied territories, which were unsupported by evidence.” 

Shortly after she was fired, the office of Ukrainian President Zelensky ridiculed her allegations as “an attempt to deflect attention… to some kind of conspiracy theories." Just how many of her other declarations fall under the same category remains to be seen. Following her dismissal ... her obscene claims of rape by Russian soldiers, which were circulated widely by Western corporate media, were actually part of a campaign to “pressure” governments to give weapons and political support to the Ukrainian regime.

Tesla's Electric Cars Aren't as Green as Hyped
3-31-16, Wired -- Devonshire Research Group dug into the data concluding that Tesla's environmental benefits may be more hyped than warranted. [..] Electric cars need to be light, which means they include a lot of high-performing metals. The lithium in the batteries, for example, is super light and conductive—that’s how you get a lot of energy without adding a lot of weight. 

When your Tesla Model 3 is on its last legs about [15 years]. Where does the battery go? Battery recyclers are piloting technologies to recover a lot of materials from those batteries. Almost all the suffering people are experiencing today traces to catastrophic policy pushed by the CDC with White House. Thereby prompting the entire public-health machinery around the country to swing into action, closing schools, businesses, churches, and giving Congress an excuse to spending some $6T (at least) through debt finance that was quickly added to the Fed’s balance sheet via money printing. The closures interrupted supply chains and shattered economic and social functioning.

 The fallout is what we see all around us. We’ve just experienced years in which it was demonstrated to the US and the entire world how pandemic control can be deployed to utterly crush rights, freedoms, constitutional limits on states, and even everything we call civilization itself.  What the CDC pushed on the country, even the world, was without precedent. The resulting disasters are everywhere present. At minimum we should expect the CDC to cease and desist, and certainly not entrench and codify. That the latter is taking place reveals what a long struggle lies ahead. 

According to the Education Data Initiative, although many have benefited from federal student loan forgiveness, about 43 million federal borrowers still owe a total of $1.6 trillion in college debt. That's an average balance of $37,014 per federal student loan borrower.

​6-5-22, Quentin Fottrell* -- Recently Tesla  apparently leaked an email on TWITTER calling on all employees working at home: “Return to the office: [or] they should pretend to work somewhere else. Remote work is no longer acceptable.” Was Elon Musk's choice of words. The email was dated May 31, 2022 and signed “Elon.” He also said: Exceptional circumstances would be considered and reviewed directly by him, but noted that managers could not just show up at the most convenient Tesla office. “Moreover, the ‘office’ must be a main Tesla office, not a remote branch office unrelated to the job duties,”
 
Nicholas Bloom, a professor in the department of economics at Stanford University said: “In response to Musk’s demand, almost 60% of employees will return to the office full time.”

Musk isn’t the first CEO to vent. JPMorgan Chase’s CEO Jamie Dimon told workers at a Wall Street Journal event in May 2021 that remote work “doesn’t work for people who want to hustle, doesn’t work for culture, doesn’t work for idea generation. We are getting blowback... ” 
In the USA, employees may have legal grounds to work remotely under the Americans with Disabilities Act if they have a medical condition that makes them particularly vulnerable to COVID-19. However, unless the requirement to report to the office is at odds with a stay-at-home order in their state --which have long been lifted across the U.S. — even unionized workers who wish to work remotely are likely out of luck.
