They are important “signs” that the Lord Jesus explicitly and repeatedly told His believing followers are to “watch and pray” for. [Mark 13:35, 37] These “signs” clearly indicate “the end of the age” [1 Corinthians 10:11] and the return of the Lord to resurrect and rapture His church to glory. Our Lord will come for His church at any hour of any day. It could happen on a Jewish feast day, perhaps on the saddest of the Lord’s feast days = Tisha B'Av [1]. It’s believed to be a day destined for more tragedy; a few of past disasters all occurring on the 9th Day of Av:
| The Lord Jesus explicitly said in Matthew 24:50 “The Lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for Him and in a hour that he is not aware of.” Although many born again believers have incorrectly speculated on dates of Jesus’ trumpet call – myself included – yet we still haven’t given up as we earnestly watch and pray looking for our blessed Hope [Titus 2:13]. Scripture gives us hints of the timing; in Amos 8:1-2 the prophet was shown a harvested basket of summer fruit. The Lord told him, “the end is come upon My people of Israel: I will not again pass by them anymore.” With no mention of the Gentiles; this clearly indicates that God is preparing to deal with and judge Israel. What would the basket of summer fruit typify? In Micah 7:1 Israel is lamenting because the summer fruits have already been gathered. It may be that the “summer fruits” typify the Lord’s New Testament church. In Micah 7:2-6 the world conditions [Mark 13:7-8] are described - who can deny our world is as delineated? Based on the fact the world is in disasters as never before; and IF the Lord’s Church is removed from the earth - the disaster would be historic. Maybe on the Lord’s feast day of: “The 9th day of Av”2021 = Saturday & Sunday, Sunset July 17th to nightfall on the 18th will be the date?? |
Have you the assurance that you’ve been saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Who shed His own precious blood to redeem your soul? [John 3:16, 1 John 5:13] If you have any doubt see 2 Peter 1:10-11 and call upon the Lord in a repentance prayer, confessing your sin and turning your life over to Him. The Lord Jesus is coming for His church, just as He promised in John 14:3 and it could occur in just four more days.

Proverbs 6:16-19 lists “a lying tongue” and “a false witness who pours out lies” as two of the seven abominations to the Lord. [Also see Psalm 119:29, 163, 120:2; Proverbs 12:22, 13:5; Ephesians 4:25; Colossians 3:9 and Revelation 21:8] In God's word there are examples of liars who are greatly punished: [Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5:3]. Time after time, we see that falsehood leads to misery, loss and judgment; so what about Rahab and the Hebrew midwives Puah and Shiphrah? They lied.
| The Bible nowhere states that there are instances where lying is the right thing to do. The question then remains: is there ever a time when lying is the right thing to do? In the life of Corrie ten Boom in Nazi-occupied Holland she was hiding Jews in her home to protect them from the Nazi concentration camps. German soldiers come to her home asking if she knows where any Jews are hiding. Should she tell the truth they were hiding in her house? Or, should she lie saving them denying that she knows anything about them? She’s a modern day ‘Rahab!’ In an evil world, and in a desperate situation, it may be the right thing to commit a lesser evil, lying, in order to prevent a much greater evil. ✝️ 6-7-20, The Lord □ Jesus spoke from the cross first of forgiveness, salvation then of His Mother's care into John's hands. He spoke of being forsaken & then triumph as His task as human was complete shedding His perfect blood for the forgiveness of sins to all who repent believing in Him. His body was thirsty.
