The Day of Atonement or Yom Kippur  is recorded in the Holy Bible's Old Testament book of Leviticus 16:8-34; 23:27-32. It's the most solemn and important holy day of the Jewish calendar. In the Old Testament, the Day of Atonement was the day the High Priest made an atoning sacrifice for the sins of the people. This act of atonement brought reconciliation between the people and God. 9-17-18, Daily Caller -- Christine Blasey Ford has accused Judge Brett Kavanaug of a sexual assault that she claims took place in 1983 at a drunken high school teen age party. She also claims that another boy, Mark Judge was in the room and jumped on them allowing her escape.  The Washington Post noted that Ford [through her lawyer, Debra Katz] said she was afraid to tell her parents [or anyone else until 2012] about the incident and has very limited memory of event. She alleged by letter [here] sent to Senator Diane Feinstein that Brett held her down on a bed and groped her.

​In 2018 Christine Blasey-Ford [through her attorney] claims that in high school at a party in 1983, two boys were in the room when she was attacked. The second drunken boy was Mark Judge. In a recent interview, Mark Judge said he could not remember an incident that could be misconstrued in the way the New Yorker says the letter alleges. “I can recall a lot of rough-housing with guys. 4-16-08, Henry Morris, PhD -- In the Book of Ephesians are included several guidelines for the Christian's speech--how we should talk and what we should talk about. These are not easy rules to follow, but are necessary if we would please our Savior and be effective in our Christian lives and witness.

As our text indicates, vulgar talk, idle chatter, and coarse jesting should "not be once named among you, as becometh saints" (5:3). "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers" (4:29).

The same applies to bitter, angry, malicious speech. "Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice" (4:31). And certainly our communications should be true and trustworthy. "Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor" (4:25).

Thus, our words should not be crude or obscene, idle or foolish, bitter or angry, false or malicious. Instead, they should be good words, true words, gracious words, intended to edify--that is, build up--our hearers in their own Christian lives.

Further, if we would win others to Christ, we must always be "speaking the truth in love" (4:15). What we say to them must be fully in accord with both biblical truth and genuine Christian love. Finally, we should "be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ" (5:18-20). We must renounce anything and everything in its entirety until there is no hidden dishonesty or craftiness about us at all. We must maintain continual watchfulness so that nothing arises in our lives that would cause us shame. “…not walking in craftiness…” (2 Corinthians 4:2). God will only allow us to work in one way — the way of truth.

9-14-18, David Wartinger, a professor emeritus in the Dept of Osteopathic Surgical Specialties, at Michigan State University led both a pilot study and an expanded study to assess whether the stories he was hearing from patients were true that riding a roller coaster dislodges kidney stones.

He found that riding a roller coaster helps patients pass kidney stones with nearly a 70% success rate. His pilot study is published in the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association.

He said: “Basically, I had patients telling me that after riding a particular roller coaster at Walt Disney World, they were able to pass their kidney stone. I even had one patient say he passed three different stones after riding multiple times.”

Professor Wartinger tested the theory using a validated, synthetic 3D model of a hollow kidney complete with three kidney stones no larger than 4 millimeters inserted into the replica, he took the model in a backpack on Big Thunder Mountain at the theme park 20 times. His initial results verified patient reports.

​He said: “In the pilot study, sitting in the last car of the roller coaster showed about a 64 percent passage rate, while sitting in the first few cars only had a 16 percent success rate.”  More here

​9-16-18, * -- Although most of us have been taught otherwise, the Bible actually says in direct clear unequivocal language, that the Jewish people must convert to the Messiah Jesus Christ before He will return:

1. Jesus Himself said, that before the Jews will see Him again, they will say, “you will not see Me again until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord’” (Matt. 23:39). The common belief is that they will not convert until they see Christ; this is the exact opposite of what Christ literally said.
2. In Hosea the Lord said: “I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him. I will go and return to My place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek My face: in their affliction they will seek me early.” (Hosea 5:14-15)
3. Peter preached to the Jews, as recorded in the book of Acts, he said that they will need to convert before Christ will return: “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, . . . and that He may send the Messiah, Who has been appointed for you— even Jesus.” (Acts 3:19-20)
4. The Apostle Paul said, “For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be, but life from the dead?” (Romans 11:15). So the Rapture cannot happen before they convert.

This information has not been seen or taught because it does not fit the prevailing beliefs about the end times. Based on my understanding of God's word, the pre-tribulation Rapture theory is false.

Question: How many Jews must believe? Have the number of Jews who have repented and accepted Messiah Jesus fulfilled God's requirement?

9-15-18, Throughout the ages people have believed, that in our lives in eternity, will include recognition of our loved ones. The attitude and behavior of King David, at the death of his child, shows that he believed in Heavenly Recognition. For seven days he had prayed, fasted and wept in the hope that God would allow Bathsheba's child to live; but when final word came that he was dead, David wiped away tears, washed, dressed, ate food finding comfort knowing “I shall go to him” (2 Samuel 12:22-23).

Heaven is revealed as an enjoyable social place.

Jesus said: “And I say unto you, that many shall come from the east and west, sitting down to feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 8:11) Assuredly, the patriarchs and prophets knew each other at this holy festival. Why would we doubt that born again believers in Christ will also recognize each other?
 
There are several indications in Scripture that we will maintain our identity in heaven and, thus, be recognizable to our loved ones (and they to us)as follows:

1. Jesus made it a point that Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were alive and existing as individuals by those names. Matthew 22:31-32 
2. Apostles Peter, James and John recognized Moses & Elijah as they appeared to Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration. Matthew 17:1-8; Luke 9:30
3. Death of Lazarus and the rich man - the rich man  went to Hell, “he lifted up his eyes, being in torments seeing Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.”  Luke 16:23
4. The Apostle Paul:

• spoke of “the whole family in heaven and earth.” Ephesians 3:15
• expected to recognize in heaven the Thessalonian Christians to whom he had ministered on earth. 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20; 2 Corinthians 1:14
• said, "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” 1 Corinthians 13:12 [“BUT THEN” … face to face with Jesus! And know “AS I AM KNOWN.”]

The affinity and knowledge of our loved ones in the eternal Home of the redeemed where cognizance is not limited! How sad if we had to live throughout eternity as strangers! It wouldn’t be home. Jesus is preparing a place (John 14:3) for all of us and we'll know each other. Hallelujah!

History: The Hebrew King David planned the temple that Solomon eventually built in 3040 BC after Adam. King Solomon was king 4 years when he began the temple 1 Kings 6:1. He was king 36 years after it was begun and it was destroyed the first time in 587 BC. Then the Persian king, Cyrus helped the Jews rebuild it about 450 before Christ. It was the temple the Lord Jesus Christ would have seen. According to history and archeology, it was destroyed 70 AD years after Christ. 

9-13-18, Student council members at The University of Wisconsin-Madison are demanding the school change the ingredients in the official university ice cream, claiming that the current ingredients are discriminatory toward some minority students.

UW-M’s official ice cream, the Babcock, contains a beef gelatin additive, which according to the legislation, “renders certain communities such as the Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, and vegetarian unable to enjoy it without violating their beliefs.” The legislation, titled “Ice Cream for All,” is already has eight sponsors.

The legislation states that the Babcock Ice Cream is an important tradition at UW-M, and “it would be a gross act of discrimination to continue to deprive some minority students.” The legislation reads: “Symbolic issues like these have always and will always play a critical role in whether marginalized students and people feel welcome, included, and connected to their community.”

However, according to The Badger Herald, Scott Rankin, chair of the food science department, said the university ice cream shop, Babcock Dairy, offers an assortment of ice creams that are gelatin free, adding that it would be hard to replicate the taste of the gelatin-based ice cream.

College campuses are no longer bastions of higher learning. Professors indoctrinate students with their agendas. They even silence conservative students with their attempts to suppress free speech.

​9-14-18, * -- On Friday, September 7, 2018 the immediate past president [Obama] gave a speech at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he used misrepresentations and propaganda to try to rewrite the history of his presidency.
One of those misrepresentations was his remarks on his actions regarding Benghazi, which resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including US Ambassador Christopher Stevens. The ex-president said Republicans, “Embraced wild conspiracy theories, like those surrounding Benghazi, or my birth certificate.” While many believe his birth certificate is still unsettled, Benghazi is not.

Past report: The occupant of the Oval Office and all his minions have been caught in the Great Benghazi Lie. It started with a carefully woven story that protesters stormed our Embassy in Libya, killed our Ambassador and three other Americans because they were upset over a film questioning the character of Islam's 'Prophet Mohammad.' [1] 
As the truth now comes out, there was no protest, the area outside the embassy was calm until it was attacked by Islamic terrorists. The Obama Administration, including the president, the Sec of State [Mrs Clinton], the UN Ambassador and many others have been lying to us. [..snip]

• Eight days after the attack [9/19/12] White House Press Sec Jay Carney said: “Based on the information that we had at the time and have to this day, we do not have evidence that it was premeditated.”
• Fourteen days after the attack, the president still blamed the embassy killings on the anti-Mohammed video telling the UN: “In every country, there are those who find different religious beliefs threatening; in every culture, those who love freedom for themselves must ask themselves how much they’re willing to tolerate freedom for others. That is what we saw play out in the last two weeks, as a crude and disgusting video sparked outrage throughout the Muslim world.  Now, I have made it clear that the United States government had nothing to do with this video, and I believe its message must be rejected by all who respect our common humanity.” 

While the president said that the US had nothing to do with the video, he and his administration is complicit in lying to the American public about not only how our Ambassador was killed, but why and by whom--even to the fabrication of minute details of protests getting out of hand. The entire news media wrote what this administration said as fact.

Now all Americans are finding out the president’s story was not remotely true. How much more is a lie?

Dear Chairman Parker,

On behalf of the more than 241,000 law enforcement officers represented by our Association across the country, I write to you to condemn in the strongest possible terms your selection of Colin Kaepernick for Nike’s “Just Do It” ad campaign. Mr. Kaepernick is known, not as a successful athlete, but as a shallow dilettante seeking to gain notoriety by disrespecting the flag for which so many Americans have fought and died.

The inclusion of Mr. Kaepernick in Nike’s “Just Do It” ad campaign also perpetuates the falsehood that police are racist and aiming to use force against African Americans and persons of color. In reality, officers across the nation risk their lives not only protecting the athletes featured in Nike’s various campaigns, but also serve aspiring athletes across the country who use the Nike brand, through the thousands of Police Athletic Leagues, Boys and Girls Clubs and Big Brother/Big Sister programs where our officers donate their time and energy. They deserve to have the respect and full support of corporate citizens like Nike.

Adding to the insult is the image of Mr. Kaepernick from the campaign featuring the quote “Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything.” The fact that Mr. Kaepernick is no longer a starting NFL player does not equate to him being someone who has “sacrificed everything”.

To truly understand what it means to “believe in something” and “sacrifice everything”, you should look to Arlington National Cemetery, or to the National Law Enforcement Officers’ Memorial in Washington, D.C., or to the trauma unit of a military hospital.

The brave men and women of every race and color buried there, memorialized there, healing there, believed in this nation and our flag and exemplify the true meaning of “sacrifice”.

In featuring Mr. Kaepernick in the “Just Do It” campaign, Nike grossly insults the men and women who really do make sacrifices for the sake of our nation. We are calling on all our member officers, their families and friends to join in boycotting all Nike products. HERE

2 Timothy 3:1

8-21-18, * -- There has always been some confusion about the biblical term “the last days.” Many times the phrase is associated with the Great Tribulation period. It does appear, however, that the “last days” began officially at Pentecost when the prophecy of Joel 2:28-29 was fulfilled and verified by Peter in his sermon recorded in Acts 2:14-21. That same Peter reaffirmed that the Lord Jesus “was manifest in these last times for you” (1 Peter 1:20). And, just so there could not be any doubt, the apostle John said simply, “Little children, it is the last time.” (1 John 2:18)

Paul’s warning to Timothy was that these last days will be filled with “perilous times.” The Greek term translated “perilous” is chalepos. Its basic meaning is “stress” or “fierce,” coming from a root word meaning to “reduce strength.” Other Bible versions translate the term as “dangerous” or “difficult” times. 

The “times” that will be perilous are “seasons” or “periods” that will characterize these “last days.” The verses that follow our text contain a list of the kinds of “peril” that will “stress” those who would live godly lives.

This warning is not unique. “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.” (1 Timothy 4:1)

No wonder we are told: “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution” (2 Timothy 3:12). -- Henry Morris, III here

In 2017, the Dept of Education introduced a federally-funded program called Access Islam. It's a curriculum taught to students, grades 5-12, about Islam. Supposedly, it was intended to educate and familiarize the masses of Islamic doctrine.
