11-27-18, HENRY M. MORRIS III, D.MIN. -- The special word chosen by the Holy Spirit is most helpful in understanding the warnings in scripture. The Greek term in Jude 1:4 translated “crept in unawares” is pareisduno, a uniquely compounded word meaning to “sink down in alongside.” What could be more descriptive? These kinds of sneaky people have been written about before, Jude says, and are prime examples of those who transpose the grace of God into uncontrolled sin.

Paul uses a similar word in his letter to Timothy to warn him about the ungodly men of the last days who “creep into houses” and undermine the lifestyles of “silly women” (2 Timothy 3:6-7). The imagery implies the subtlety and cleverness of these “ungodly men,” but there is a horrible consequence of this replacement of God’s grace with “lasciviousness.”

Jude lists the terrible judgment on the people of Israel who refused to believe the good report of Joshua and Caleb when the 12 spies returned from the land of Canaan. (Numbers 13:27–28). This report frightened the people (Numbers 13:31–33). God “destroyed” those who embraced the fearful and faithless report of the 10 (Numbers 14:10-12, 29, 35). Even the angels who led the world of Noah into corruption (Genesis 6:1-4) were chained in “darkness” for their disobedience (2 Peter 2:4).

Sodom and Gomorrah, Cain, Balaam, and Korah (Core) are all given as examples by Jude of God’s stern judgment on those who knew better, but chose to lead a rebellion against the righteous lifestyles or leadership of God’s people. God does not take lightly the misuse of His instructions. Even the “least” of the commandments are important (Matthew 5:19). After all, “thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name” (Psalm 138:2). Source

12-13-18, HENRY M. MORRIS III, D.MIN.  -- The two brothers from Genesis 4:1-3, Cain & Abel, stand as contrasting prototypes. Cain was the first child born after the Fall who embraced the “wicked one” in spite of all the firsthand and face-to-face knowledge of God’s redemptive plan and offering of grace. Cain’s arrogant lifestyle is noted in Jude 1:8-11. Abel, in contrast, was a man of great faith (Hebrews 11:4) who was both righteous (Matthew 23:25) and a prophet (Luke 11:50-51).

Adam and Eve would have taught the boys (and their other children) about God and the knowledge of the sacrifice (covering of skins) for their own sin. It is clear that sheep were not kept for food (Genesis 2:16) since Cain provided food (as instructed by God—Genesis 1:29). Abel provided clothing and sacrifice.

The events of the Fall would suggest that this sacrifice was an established practice (Genesis 3:21, the “covering” of skins—the Hebrew word for atonement means “to cover”). Furthermore, the language of Genesis 4:3 (Hebrew translation “at the end of the days”) requires a specified time period when they brought (Hebrew translation “came with”), probably to the door of the garden (Genesis 3:22-24), an offering (used consistently of voluntary tributes to God, Exodus 30:9-10). It is completely parallel to “the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof” as later used by Moses in Leviticus 9:3-10.

Such specified action is hardly accidental. Thus Cain’s rebellion and heinous fratricide [killing sibling; Genesis 4:8] revealed an evil heart that would not repent. May God protect us from such evil. Source

We are chosen (Ephesians 1:4), selected out of many who will not be so favored (Matthew 22:14), and adopted (Galatians 4:5) into the family of the omnipotent Creator “to be conformed to the image of his Son” (Romans 8:29). Not only that, but since we have been created “after God in righteousness and true holiness” (Ephesians 4:24), then as God’s “sons” we are “then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ” (Romans 8:14-15, 16-17).
 
This unique and priceless gift of sonship has the responsibilities of “sons” as well as the privileges. Yes, we are made righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21), but we are also called “unto holiness” (1 Thessalonians 4:7) and expected to “work out” our salvation (Philippians 2:12) with fear and trembling. Although we are granted rights to “sit together” with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6), we are commanded to “put on the whole armour of God” here on Earth so that we can “withstand in the evil day” (Ephesians 6:11, 13).
 
Sonship also demands the “chastisement” of the Father (Hebrews 12:8) and the careful additions to our faith of the character disciplines of virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, and charity. 7-8-2014, Judicial Watch -- According to a U.S. Congressman, Phil Gingrey who is also medical doctor.he hordes of illegal migrant minors [and adults] entering the U.S. are bringing serious diseases—including swine flu, dengue fever, possibly Ebola virus and tuberculosis—that present a danger to the American public.

There is a “severe and dangerous” crisis, says the Georgia lawmaker, Phil Gingrey. Most of the Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) are coming from Central America and they’re importing infectious diseases considered to be largely eradicated in this country. 

In a hard-hitting letter to the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Congressman Gingrey demands that the agency keep Americans informed about its plan to handle the growing public health crisis posed by the influx of minors. 

Gingrey mentions reports of Border Patrol agents contracting diseases through contact with the infected illegal aliens. A few weeks ago Judicial Watch reported that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is forcing Border Patrol agents to serve as babysitters for the UACs. 

Dr Gingrey demands that the CDC take immediate action to assess the public risk posed by the UACs and their subsequent transfer to different parts of the country. “I would also like information on what is being done to protect border patrol agents who come in contact with these diseases, what decontamination efforts are taking place, and what is included in medical screenings of the children.”

The [Obama] administration has worked hard to keep that information secret, though some of it is slowly leaking out. One major news station reports that tuberculosis is spreading at the camps housing the illegal immigrant minors while the government downplays the severity of the matter. At least half a dozen anonymous sources, including nurses and healthcare providers, treating UAC’s at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio say the government is covering up a very serious health threat. Specifically, tuberculosis has become a dangerous issue at both the border and the camps, according to several sources cited in the story. (KTVU) - An unidentified man was stuck in the grease vent of an empty Chinese restaurant in San Lorenzo for two days, and was finally pulled out Wednesday morning with the help of Alameda County sheriff’s deputies and firefighters. The very grateful man was covered in brown grease, his arms crossed over his head, his body contorted into a small, square-shaped vent. A neighboring business owner said he heard faint noises coming from the restaurant Tuesday night. 10-19-2015, BRANDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - A 32-year-old unidentified man was found stuck in a pizza oven vent at the Cracker Barrel Pizza Store in the 5500 block of Oakhill Road. He was found when someone heard him screaming for help. The man was found stuck in the vent halfway from the roof to the floor. The Sheriff's Office said he was trying to break into the store through the vent in the roof. 12-11-18, Moody Bible Inst -- Rising 20,310 feet above sea level, in Alaska is Mount Denali, the highest peak in the United States. Unfortunately, clouds veil the mountain approximately two days out of every three. When the skies clear, however, visitors are treated to a stunning view as Denali’s greatness and majesty overwhelm them.

For those of us who worship the Lord Jesus Christ, it's easy to imagine that the people who encountered Him - in His earthly life - had a similar yet greater experience. Surely Christ’s greatness and majesty would have been overwhelming, readily apparent to all, right? Perhaps not. Some certainly seem to have perceived something great about Him immediately, such as John the Baptist (Matthew 3:14), Peter (Matthew 4:22), and Matthew (Matthew 9:9). However, it may be that like Denali, to many His greatness was veiled.

In Matthew 11:1-2, 4-5, 15-16 questions are raised about Jesus’ identity or doubt His greatness. Ironically, the first question came from John the Baptist, who was among the first to perceive that greatness. From prison, John sought assurance that his earlier impression was accurate and thus sent disciples to ask if Jesus is “the one who is to come” (Matthew 11:3). Meanwhile, the crowds appeared to doubt Jesus’ greatness because He “came eating and drinking” and was “a friend of tax collectors and sinners” (Matthew 11:19).

In response, Jesus pointed to the healings and miracles He performed (Matthew 11:5, 20). The crowds were misled by their first impression and needed to revise their damning judgment by considering more than superficial appearances. Beyond that, all people needed not only to look or listen, but also to take up Christ’s yoke and learn from Him (Matthew 11:29-30). There is no better way to understand King Jesus' mysterious majesty. Source here

Supreme Court Voted NOT to Hear Case About Taxpayer Funding Planned Parenthood - The actual legal issue of both cases did not strictly have to do with taxpayer funding of abortions or Planned Parenthood, or the abortion issue at all.
12-10-18, Life News -- On Monday, 12/10/18,  six of the nine justices refused to take the cases out of Kansas and Louisiana where two lower courts split on Planned Parenthood funding issues. These involved the states’ decisions to revoke taxpayer funding from Planned Parenthood after videos exposed the abortion giant allegedly selling the body parts of aborted babies.

The Issue Voted on Was Medicaid Law NOT Abortion

According to the National Review, the actual legal issue of both cases did not strictly have to do with taxpayer funding of abortions or Planned Parenthood, or the abortion issue at all. The justices were asked to consider “whether Medicaid recipients have standing to challenge states’ determination of which groups qualify as Medicaid providers.” More here and  here
