Dogs are Wonderful Gifts from Almighty God
9-27-20, Yes, there are wild and vicious dogs, but there are also wonderful companion dogs. They communicate sweet messages such as 'You are Loved.' 'You are not alone.' 'You are protected and guided by a divine higher Power.' When we are lonely, weary, overwhelmed by life’s burdens they tell us: "I am here." See wonderful 2 minute video: "GOD and DOG" here

God's word tells us that a 'happy heart' is good medicine: 1) 1 Timothy 5:23 Don’t drink only water. You ought to drink a little wine for the sake of your stomach because you are sick so often. 2) Matthew 9:12 Jesus said, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor–sick people do.” 3) Jeremiah 8:22 Is there no medicine in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why is there no healing for the wounds of my people? |
5) Isaiah 38:21; 2 Kings 20:7 Isaiah had said to Hezekiah’s servants, “Make an ointment from figs and spread it over the boil, and Hezekiah will recover.”
6) Jeremiah 51:8 But suddenly Babylon, too, has fallen. Weep for her. Give her medicine. Perhaps she can yet be healed.
7) Psalm 103:2-3 Bless the Lord, my soul, and never forget any of his benefits: He continues to forgive all your sins, he continues to heal all your diseases.
8) Revelation 22:2 It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.
9)Proverbs 17:22 A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
3-11-20, NBCNews -- Sadly the NCAA [college basketball in the USA] announced that the upcoming "March 2020 Madness" basketball tournaments will severely restrict attendance to only "essential staff and limited family" due to the coronavirus outbreak. Differences Between Dogs & Cats Dogs are pack animals loving company & will never feel bored if humans give attention to it. However, cats love to spend time alone. Dogs love to please their human, but cats love to please themselves. Dogs are more affectionate than cats. Dogs will wag their tail & even their whole body to show affection. A cat will sometimes purr & rub on their human tolerating being smooched, but you will be smooched by the dog! Dogs are happy to see you when it is awaken from sleep, but a cat will just pretend to be sleeping, even if you try to wake it and seems angry to be bothered. | In summary: 1. A dog is a pack animal, and the cat is a loner. 2. Dogs bark, growl and woof. Cats just meow or purr. 3. Dogs need to be cared for, whereas cats are independent animals. 4. Dogs are more affectionate when compared to cats. 5. A dog scares away intruders, whereas a cat will just run for cover. 6. Dogs need a lot of space and they love to run about. On the contrary, cats are very happy in small spaces. |
Two Lions in New Testament
The Apostle John's vision: “One of the elders saith unto me, 'Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof."

2-28-20, * -- Animals have 'communities' ... elephants have a parade, geese have a gaggle, cows have a herd, fish have a school and lions have social units called prides. Some of the oldest paintings in history are in the Chauvet Cave in France containing artwork called the “Gallery of Lions.” [Smithsonian Museum report here]
In the New Testament we find lions—two of them. One is worthy of eternal worship; one is worthy of eternal condemnation.
1. THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH - Jesus is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah; His great power is shown and felt in His devotion to creating and sustaining life for the world. Today’s verse is about Him and is part of a greater story in Revelation 5:5; there is a scroll no one in the universe can open and read making the apostle John weep! However, a mighty angel tells him, “Do not weep! The Lion of the Tribe of Judah . . . is able to open the scroll and its seals.” We learn that THIS Lion is worthy because He became a lamb shedding His blood for the salvation of people from every “tribe and language and people and nation.” (Matthew 26:28; Revelation 5:9)
2. THE LION OF DESTRUCTION - The apostle Peter writes about the wicked lion in 1 Peter 5:8, warning: "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." This lion is Satan himself and his powers are persecution, pain, confusion, delusion fear, destruction, devouring, consuming and death. [2 Thessalonians 2:9-12; 2 Timothy 4:3]
While Jesus is the Author of Life, Satan is the bringer of death.
One of Life or One of death?
Much like the artwork in those ancient caves, these two lions paint profound pictures about what it means to be human. As men and women, we will devote ourselves to one “pride” or the other: the pride of Jesus or the pride of Satan.
To follow Jesus is obey His commands, share His truth attempting to snatch lost family, friends and acquaintances from the jaws of Hell. Finding strength in selflessness, to be quick to do what’s right, to have a steel backbone against evil and to never run from God’s purpose on our lives.
To follow Satan is to take life, to find strength in selfishness, to have feet quick to do evil, to give in to sin and to flee from God’s call on our lives. Follow the Lord Jesus and live!

China: Water Fowl Army of 100,000 Ducks Headed to Pakistan to Battle Incoming Plague of Locusts
2-27-20, Telegraph.uk -- Chinese officials are on standby to deploy an army of voracious ducks to Pakistan to help their neighbor fight locusts threatening to devour crops. At least 100,000 of the specially raised waterfowl are expected to be sent to Pakistan later this year to combat a desert locust outbreak. Chinese researchers have described the ducks as “biological weapons” and claimed... | ... they can be more effective than pesticide. “One duck is able to eat more than 200 locusts a day,” said Lu Lizhi, a senior researcher with the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences who is in charge of the project. A trial to gauge the ducks' locust-eating prowess would begin in Xinjiang later this year. More here |
What Is The Coldest Temperature Horses Can Tolerate? Do they need blankets? 12-12-18, CowGirlMag -- Most horses can tolerate 0° F or even a little below. This would be without wind and precipitation. With shelter, such as a run-in or stable, your horse can manage in as low as -40° F. Their winter fur is still growing in until roughly December 22nd. If you blanket before that, you could be stunting the growth of the hair. Two horses are in the snow, one with a blanket, one without. Notice the unmelted snow on the unblanketed horse. His fur is working by insulating him. His body heat is not escaping; if his fur did not work the snow would melt immediately... | ...The unblanketed horse has the same amount of unmelted snow on his back as the blanketed one. Eventually since the horse is warmer than the frozen ground the snow will melt on both of them. The problem we humans have when we pat our horses in the winter is that they feel cold to touch, but this is because their fur has insulated them and is keeping all the warmth next to the skin. Horses can have icicles hanging off their fur and be perfectly warm underneath. Cold temperatures require a little more work; however, with proper care, your horse is likely to do just fine this winter! https://www.equisearch.com/discoverhorses/horses-in-cold-weather |
Hummingbirds Drink Nectar for Strength 1-30-20, Hummingbirds live on nectar from flowers and the sugars that are found in specialty feeders of dissolved sugar in water. These tiny birds stock up on the needed fuel they will need for their migration South. Their average weight is 1/8 ounce. Their wings beat between 40 and 80 beats/second. | They breathe approximately 250 times per minute. Their heart rate is an unbelievable 250 beats/min at rest and 1200 beats/min while feeding. During flight they reach up to 63 miles/hour. It is believed that their migration flight to the Caribbean Islands and Mexico cross the Gulf and Atlantic Ocean waters is non-stop flight taking 18-20 hours. 1 Samuel 17:37 |

New Hampshire bill to CRIMINALIZE letting your own dog run around your back yard when the weather is cold
1-16-20, (Natural News) There is an old saying that “a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.” Sometimes good intentions combined with a lack of knowledge can make for a really toxic combination. An excellent example of this is State Representative Katherine Rogers’ proposed legislation as outlined in New Hampshire House Bill 1389. The bill would impose criminal penalties on pet owners who do not: provide adequate food, water or shelter for their animals. Some elements of the way this legislation is structured reflects a lack of understanding and facts of dogs and weather. A new study published in the Journal Veterinary Dermatology, dogs’ paw pads contain lots of fatty tissue – which doesn’t freeze as easily as other tissues. The blood vessels in dogs’ feet are arranged in a way that lets them act like living heat exchangers: arteries in the paws are very close to networks of tiny veins (venules), facilitating the transfer of heat from venous to arterial blood. When a paw is cooled by contact with frozen ground, warmth from the arteries in the paw is transferred to the venules. This helps keep the paw at a tolerable temperature.
In addition, it warms the blood before it flows back to the body – thus helping keep the dog’s body temperature from falling uncomfortably low. Thank YOU, God!
Why Is My Dog Always Hungry? 1-16-17, It is not a secret to anyone: dogs are naturally greedy; especially when it comes to food. Often begging for treats - watching while you're cooking, watching & begging while you sit at the table to eat. This doesn't mean that your dog is hungry, just that he is a glutton. Yeah he is. | Hands-On Guide to Checking if Your Dog Is Over Weight Simple method to check your dogs weight: Run your hands along his back and sides - if he's proper weight you'll feel the ribs & spine and small amount of fat covering them. Also, at the base of the tail you'll feel a small layer of fat and it is smooth to the touch. |
12-9-19, To put it simply, dogs are awesome. Whether they’re begging for your food, barking at their leash to convince you to take them on a walk, or simply greeting you when you get home, dogs do all of the little things that put smiles on faces around the world. Intelligence varies depending on the kind of breed you get, but overall, dogs are some of the most intuitive animals around. This is demonstrated by their multiple facial expressions (I especially like the one where they tilt their head and look at you quizzically), their ability to deviously hide toys in the strangest of places, and more. All they want to do is wake up, say hi to you, run around, play with their toys, eat, nap, eat again, nap again, say hi again, and sleep. Is that so bad?! Sure, we humans have certain responsibilities thanks to our “intelligence,” but it sure would be nice if we could all go through life like dogs; care free and completely sure of ourselves. The Creation of the Animals
Vegetarian Diet Before the Flood
God said, "Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth."
In the Holy Bible's book of Genesis creation of both humans and animals occur. Creation and blessing of the whole swarming animal kingdom appears [Genesis 1:20-25]. Then in Genesis 1:26-28 man and woman were created in God’s image and given “dominion” over every other living creature. In Genesis 2:7 we see that God forms man from the dust of the ground and breathes life into “his nostrils” then God created woman from Adam’s rib. [..snip]
Regarding the word dominion and man's control or stewardship of the garden and animals [Genesis 2:15]; many people interpret Genesis 1:29 as emphasizing Adam and Eve’s vegetarian diet, with meat only becoming part of the table after Noah’s escape from the flood.
God told Noah and is family: "Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things." Genesis 9:3
All things were created by almighty God and for Him. Colossians 1:16
Roomba of the Sea - "The Guardian"
Submersible Robot armed with lights, cameras and vacuum to gather up lionfish

The same is true for the lionfish that grow to about 17 inches within the reefs of the western Atlantic Ocean. Stephen Gittings, a coral reef ecologist for the National Marine Sanctuary System reports that: “They can eat fish up to half their body size and a single lionfish can eat dozens of fish in a day. Since no native species prey on lionfish, so not losing very many of them over the course of time so they just dominate and take over.”
Red Lionfish
This species has red and maroon stripes over its white body. Its natural habitat consists of the coral reef regions of the Indian and Pacific oceans. Recently they are now found off the east coast of Florida in the United States. In 2010 Puerto Rico lionfish sightings were seldom, but the voracious fish are now a pretty common sight even in just 6-8 feet of water. People need to be aware of these dangerous fish and there is a call to 'cull the herd.' They are capable of delivering a painful puncture wound.
A new method to rid the seas of the lionfish is
THE GUARDIAN VACUUM
Like the Roomba Vacuum, "The Guardian" is also a vacuum cleaner—only instead of dust and cat hair, it vacuums up the stunned lionfish into an onboard water tank that can hold up to 20 fish. Once full, the Guardian can return to the surface with its catch. Adam Cantor, director of engineering at Robots Service of Environment [RSE], explains that while many coastal communities in the United States host spearfishing competitions to see who can bag the most lionfish, it’s not enough to prevent the effects of the invasive species on nearby reefs because they breed at a depth of 200-400 feet, which is far past the diving range of humans. God Created Creatures to Adapt
God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind." God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And it was so and it was good. "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female He created them. God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground."
Exploring Adaptation of God's Creatures from an Engineering Perspective
10-29-19, * -- For more than a century, biologists have appealed to Darwinian natural selection to explain how living organisms adapt to different environments. But research over the last several decades has consistently dethroned Darwin’s view of natural selection. Rather than corroborating the concept that environments mold creatures through “survival of the fittest,” the research supports the astonishing idea that to a great extent creatures actively sense their environments and adapt accordingly. Recent discoveries indicate that something radical and impressive is happening. Adaptation is a result of brilliant biological engineering rather than trial-and-error death and survival, which flips the mechanism of adaptation completely on its head. This approach views biological adaptation as primarily occurring through internal mechanisms (the ability to actively sense the environment and adapt) rather than external influence (the environment molds creatures through Darwinian natural selection). Abundant evidence can be found that creatures actively sense their environments and responsively adapt. Many such adaptations occur within one generation or less, which is far too rapid for Darwin’s notion of trial-and-error natural selection.
• Darwin’s famous finches rapidly adapted their beak shapes by sensing the environment rather than strictly through inherited genetic changes.1
• A species of carp expeditiously changed its morphology in the presence of predators. These changes made the carps’ bodies more difficult to devour and increased their speed and acceleration.2
• A study of over 1,000 pythons and boas demonstrated that they expressed similar traits to adapt to their environments, with no recorded mutations.3
• Certain populations of mice vary their tail lengths in response to eastern or western prairies and forests. This appears to happen by specific genetic mechanisms—not mutations.4
• Clutches of eggs for various reptiles sense environmental temperature and sand content and produce different ratios of male and female. The changes occur after the eggs are laid and are not a result of mutations. Specific sensors for this process were discovered in 2015.5
• When a certain species of sighted river fish lays eggs in a cave environment, the larvae indirectly sense the cave environment and produce fish with greater eye and orbit size variations. No inactivating mutation in regulatory genes have been identified.6
Many evolutionary scientists significantly disagree over the challenge this “warp-speed evolution” presents to Darwinism.7 Nature magazine published a 2014 point-counterpoint article on the issue titled “Does evolutionary theory need a rethink?”8 In sharp contrast with traditional Darwinian thought, attendees of an April 2016 conference at the University of Pittsburgh explored the possibility of examining biology in the light of engineering principles. [..snip]
In light of recent discoveries, ICR’s Dr. Randy Guliuzza has incorporated the newest research into a pioneering, design-based, organism-focused method of interpreting biological adaptation. So far, critiques of Darwinism have focused on the inadequacies of its mechanisms or the insurmountable hurdles it would need to overcome to actually work. But this criticism offers little alternative. As both a medical doctor and a registered Professional Engineer, Dr. Guliuzza has the education and experience to provide a solution with unique insights in the area of biological engineering.
- Paleobiochemist Dr. Brian Thomas says, “Dr. Randy Guliuzza’s research has bravely re-evaluated old ideas about the way animals adjust their biology.”
- Nuclear physicist Vernon Cupps, author of the recent book Rethinking Radiometric Dating, says, “Creationists in general and ICR in particular can look forward to a bright future in the study of biological engineering thanks to the work of Dr. Guliuzza.”
Romans 1:20 says, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made.”

Why Did God Make Mosquitoes?
They weren’t deadly when first created …
Then the World Was Cursed After Adam & Eve Sinned
***
“God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind; everything that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.” 3:17 THEN: [After Adam & Eve sinned] God said, “I told you not to eat of it [tree but you did]: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”

9-30-19, Dr Brian Thomas PhD -- The first mosquitoes God made didn’t seek to suck blood; nor did they transmit deadly diseases like yellow fever or malaria. God’s creation was all good [Genesis 1:31] before Adam and Eve sinned. Then the curse came and everything wasn’t good.
The apostle Paul wrote, “We know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.” [Romans 8:22] According to Genesis 3:16 one penalty of sin is pain in human childbirth. God told Eve, “In pain you shall bring forth children.” [Note: I have had two children, and I've witnessed pigs, dogs and cows giving birth. I assume it's similar for all four legged beasts. They do not suffer like humans do! -- Annette]
So, what purpose did mosquitoes serve before they started misbehaving after the Genesis 3:17 curse? Many mosquito species use their unique mouth parts to take nectar from flowers or fruit and they pollinate; could be one good purpose. Of the 3000+ named mosquito species, only a few hundred harangue humans and suck blood. Perhaps at the beginning the meals of all of them were nectar.
God allowed mosquitoes to fall from perfection—like so many other current pests, poisons, parasites, and problems— but “creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.” [Isaiah 66:22]
This present cursed world is not the ultimate home for born again believers in Christ. [Romans 8:19-22] The good news is that one day God has promised He will remake the universe. “For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before Me.” [Isaiah 65:17]
2-1-19, FamilyMinded.com -- Science has proven that dogs are good for your health: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Pug, Standard Poodle, Labrador Retriever, Yorkshire Terrier and Corgi breeds are especially helpful for improving the health of humans. The "Journal of Psychiatric Research” and the “Journal of Applied Developmental Science,” researchers found that owning a dog not only made people suffering from mental health issues feel better, but also made them more likely to help others.
One of God's Most Miraculous Creations:
The Honey Bee
"My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste: So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off."
Honeybees: One of God's Sweetest Gifts
6-20-17, God's perfect creation the Honey Bee flies efficiently from flower to flower. Flowers produce sugary nectar, which attracts the bee. In exchange, the bee collects the flower’s pollen on its tiny hairs through an electrostatic charge. Roughly one third of humanity’s food source depends on insects like bees for pollination. God's healing gift of honey
3-27-16, Descendants of Noah were aware that honey had medicinal properties: surviving records show how the ancient Egyptians used honey to prevent and cure various diseases, and heal wounds. The first known official recognition of the importance of honey dates from the very beginnings of Pharaonic Egypt—the use of the title ‘Sealer of the Honey’.
