 History of Russian Federation & Ukraine
  Minsk Treaties in place to prevent war between Ukraine & Russian Federation: In 2015 Ukraine's leader Zelensky refused to honor the Minsk accords [1] that were two agreements, negotiated in Belarus; signed by Ukraine, Russia, and the Org for Sec & Cooperation in Europe (OSCE); and overseen by Germany and France, in the so-called Normandy Format. The accords aimed to stop the conflict in Ukraine that broke out following a violent US-backed [Obama/Biden] coup in 2014, which set off a civil war between Kiev’s pro-Western, post-coup government and pro-Russian separatists in the east [Donbass].  Zelensky said: “Procrastination is perfectly fine in diplomacy. We only jumped on the train and pretended to support Minsk in order to [..] give us more time to prepare for war." The German leader Ms Angela Merkel herself confirmed this in December 2022, in an interview with the newspaper Die Zeit; she said: “2014 Minsk agreement was an attempt [ploy] to buy time for Ukraine to become stronger.” France's leader François Hollande later commented, “Angela Merkel is right on this point."  Since 2014, Ukraine has strengthened its military posture. Indeed, the Ukrainian army was completely different from that of 2014. It was better trained and equipped.
It is the merit of the Minsk agreements to have given the Ukrainian army this opportunity OF DELAY AND TIME. Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett revealed in a video that the US [Obama] and Europe “blocked” his attempt to negotiate peace between Russia and Ukraine - he said: “There was a legitimate decision by the West to keep striking Putin”, to escalate the war, instead of seeking peace." The European nations and Obama wanted Ukraine to go to war with the Russian Federation - yes, it was/is a proxy war. *** [1] Minsk II stipulated that Ukraine had to reform its constitution, decentralize state authority and provide autonomy for the Russian-speaking eastern provinces, with “special status” and “self-governance” for the regions Donbass, Donetsk and Lugansk. Kiev refused to do so, under both Ukrainian governments of President Poroshenko, who signed the Minsk accords, and his successor Zelensky, who took office in 2019.
