3-15-25, TPM -- In President Trump's Dept of Justice speech Friday 3-14-25 he declared his plans for accountability from agents from the previous administration that had been “weaponized” to prevent him from becoming president again. He laid out his plan for retaliation against some of the people who are responsible for the “lies and abuses” of the former administration’s Justice Dept. ​3-15-25, Update RF vs Ukraine War: President Putin signaled to Biden in 2023 publicly and privately through intermediaries that he was ready to open to a ceasefire in Ukraine. His proposal was to freeze the war along current lines, which includes territory gained by Russia. [1] NATO refused.

Currently on 3-14-25 Reuters ran an encouraging story headlined: “After Trump request, Putin says he will let Ukraine troops in Kursk live if they surrender.” President Trump requested that President Putin spare the lives of Ukrainian troops surrounded in the doomed Kursk area. 

Putin responded: “I emphasize that if [Ukrainian troops] lay down their arms and surrender, they will be guaranteed life and decent treatment of the Russian Federation. To effectively implement the appeal of the US president, a corresponding order from leadership of Ukraine is needed for its military units to lay down their arms and surrender.”

However, the Ukrainian leader Zelensky defiantly insisted: "Kursk troops are not surrounded, so there is no reason to surrender."

While Putin’s concession shows progress and is a huge improvement — it was a win for both parties. Putin handed Trump a highly visible incremental agreement that went to the heart of his stated goal: to stop the killing. And Putin garnered points for being reasonable for visibly working toward a deal — which blows the media’s stonewalling narrative. Everyone realizes Ukrainians should put down their weapons rather than die. Zelensky is running out of hiding places -- question remains: Does Ukraine want peace or not?

3-15-25, Catholic Church Reps happy USAID cut funds letter to VP Vance: Many Catholics believe the USCCB, Catholic dioceses, Catholic Charities, Catholic Relief Services and all NGOs receiving USA government funds through the Catholic Church are happy that USAID will no longer be using the USCCB to help settle refugees and immigrants. We want them to make a full disclosure of how the $1 billion funds were used. The USCCB has argued that it has used federal funds primarily to help resettle vetted refugees and immigrants. ​

3-14-25, DailyMail -- Grieving Elephants Heartbreaking Moment: Elephants’ response to death has been called, “probably the strangest thing about them.” They almost always react to a dead elephant’s remains and occasionally react to a human’s. The remains or bones of other species, they ignore. Recently a Russian circus elephant showed her deeply touching grief as her long time [25 years] circus performing partner elephant, Magda suddenly collapsed and dies. Reportedly the one live elephant said goodbye to dead Jenny for several hours not allowing veterinarians near her. Magda and Jenny always stuck together and lived amicably. Elephants are among the most emotionally intelligent animals, known for displaying behaviour that suggests mourning and remembrance.
