Headlines, 4-10-25: Kash Patel One Job; Driscoll ATF; SCOTUS-Judges in wrong lane; Water Pressure; Marriage

4-10-25, Gateway [here] -- FBI Director Kash Patel was holding two jobs - FBI & ATF. President Trump has chosen U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll as the new acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), replacing FBI Director Kash Patel — who's been holding two jobs. 
Driscoll, a battle-tested Army veteran and former cavalry scout with the 10th Mountain Division. [..]  White House spokesperson Harrison Fields called Patel’s ATF role a “standard, short-term move” while awaiting Senate confirmations. The DOJ has yet to issue an official statement on the personnel changes.

4-8-25, WSJ [here] -- ​President Trump is exercising executive power in aggressive and often novel ways, and opponents are suing to stop him. But in a trio of recent orders, the Supreme Court has sent lower-court judges an important reminder that they must still respect judicial rules and procedures. [..] The errant judges must reverse their order requiring the Trump Administration to reinstate 16,000 fired employees. Without ruling on the merits, Justices held that the environmental groups and unions challenging the dismissals lacked legal standing to sue. [..] These reversals will cause cases to be reduced reduce cases that come before the Court giving the various lower courts opportunity to re-consider the merits before SCOTUS must. The resounding message to lower courts is to stay in your lane. 

On 4-9-25, * -- The Guardian ran a story headlined, “Trump signs executive order on water pressure to ‘restore shower freedom.’” The sub-headline added, “White House says order will ‘make America’s showers great again’ and ‘end the Obama-Biden war on water pressure.’” President Trump’s new executive order erased Biden’s stingy cap of 2.5 gallons-per-minute for showers, sinks, and toilets.  Only Democrats could consume 13,000 words defining “showerhead.” Twice in the last 12 years, the Biden and Obama administrations put out massive regulations re-defining the word ‘showerhead.’

Reasons Why Percentage of Marriage in USA Has Declined
4-10-25, Federalist [here] --  The institution of marriage between a man and a woman does better when supported by religious faith in God and His commandments. Faith nurtures support for marriage pointing to it as a wholesome & healthy way to live and raise a family. Christian religious communities also tend to be sources of support by providing counselling and guidance. Therefore, it’s not surprising that cohabitation with sex before marriage and living together often results in many relationships with a decadent way to live. Reasons marriage has declined:

1. Feminist [men haters]
2. Decline in Christianity
3. Active sex life while in college
4. Men - no need to be married when sex is free without it; risking divorce and battle over children
