Redefine ‘Harm’ in Endangered Species Act [here]
4-17-25, * -- The 1973 Endangered Species Act to be overhauled by changing what it means to harm an endangered animal species. President Trump has long loathed red tape of EPA restrictions; one person predicted that changing the law “will have a seismic, real-world effect on the ability to build and grow without all the ridiculous ‘red tape.’ President Trump said: Environmental regulations are the biggest tool for stopping growth, regulations are “a weapon” used against Americans.
 
The law prohibits harming endangered species; however certain USA agencies also include habitats where wildlife resides. For decades the regulations have inhibited building and industry progress in the USA. [..]

The outrageous restrictions covered the “snail darter” that was claimed to be a freshwater fish in Tennessee rivers. The designation of its endangerment halted construction of the “Tellico Dam.” Opponents of the dam insisted that the two-inch non-edible fish was a distinct species and successfully stopped construction. The only problem? Scientists now say it does not exist. Ultimately, the Dam was built; but not without a protracted legal fight and a special exemption signed into law by Democrat President Jimmy Carter. [Many more examples in full report.]
 
EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin said [..] that “common-sense environmental regulations are possible without suffocating the economy.” The proposed reform must make its way through the federal rule-making process & legal challenges are certain to follow.

4-25-25, The leftist haters of the USA keep repeating how "we're a nation of immigrants." That's true - HOWEVER - when in 1918 my family immigrated from Europe they came through New York's ELLIS ISLAND where they were strictly interrogated and examined making sure they had sponsors, jobs, good health and good intentions. Don't USA's immigration laws still require these assurances today? Has the Immigration Act of 1891 been changed?

4-25-25, On 4-22-25 at a press conference, the new USA FDA Chief Dr Martin Makary reported that all petroleum synthetic food dyes will be removed from America's food supply by end of this year 2025. He's taking several steps to eliminate: Red No. 3 & 40, Yellow No. 5 & 6, Blue No. 1 & 2 and Green Dye No. 3.
He suggests that if we want more 'color' in our food "how about from natural vegetables - beets, carrots, blue berries and others?'

4-25-25, Computerworld -- Apple is on track to source iPhones it sells in the US from India by the end of 2026. In February Tim Cook, CEO also reported investing $500 billion, and hire 20,000 people in Texas USA. The company has been building toward the India move for some time, but the recent tariffs announcements may have accelerated the plan. Apple had originally intended simply to set up retail stores and build a business from India’s burgeoning middle class, but very swiftly saw the sense of transitioning some production to the nation. How this fits into President Trump's plan to move companies to the USA?? Doesn't make sense. More here:
