When Criticism of Striking Islamic Terror Nation of Iran Sounds Like Defense of Brutality 3-5-26, * -- For decades Iranian people have lived under an Islamic terrorist regime that crushed dissent, punished women for asserting basic rights and used its courts and prisons as tools of fear. Human rights groups report thousands of political arrests, coerced “confessions,” torture spiked in executions tied to political and religious oppression. When outrage clusters around political actors rather than human suffering, the story of the Iranian people’s suffering is overlooked that’s at the center of this tragedy. Christians do not celebrate war; we oppose tyranny while mourning loss. We can pray for the innocent Iranian population who suffer under repression and for those caught in conflict zones. Many Iranians are Christian believers secretly meeting in homes and risking all to follow Christ. Psalm 122:6 urges, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem” who is Iran’s #1 target.
