Turkey Seeks to Bury the Current Byzantines |
7-12-22, * -- On May 29, 2022 [1] in Istanbul [formerly Constantinople] and other cities in Turkey, elaborate celebrations were held to commemorate the 569th anniversary of the 1453 AD Islamic conquest of Constantinople. Most Westerners today are unaware of the history between Muslim Turkey and Christian Byzantium. History: Towards the end of the first millennium [appx 700 AD], the Turks, whose origins lay in the steppes of Asia became Muslim and began to raid and conquer portions of Asia Minor, which was then and had been for a millennium Greek and Christian. By the end of the 14th century they had conquered it entirely and began eying Constantinople. | Although generations of Turks repeatedly besieged it, it - on May 29, 1453 AD finally fell to Erdogan’s hero: Muhammad II (or “Mehmet”) [2]. What made Constantinople an enemy to the Turks? The same thing that made every non-Muslim nation an enemy: it was “infidel” non-Muslim and in this case, Christian. That was the sole justification and pretext — the sole “grievance.” [..] When Muhammad’s army had conquered it -- they pillaged, killed, raped, taking captive men, women, children, priests … everyone. [..] The possession of the Christian Cathedral the Hagia Sophia — which at the time served Christians a thousand years — the invaders “engaged in every kind of vileness within it, making of it a public brothel.” [..] |
Hagia Sophia Cathedral today was a museum for nearly a century; but in 2021 Turkey’s President Erdogan rededicated it into an Islamic mosque. The conquest of Constantinople and the conversion of the Hagia Sophia Mosque are among the most glorious chapters of Islamic Turkish history. Erdoğan’s said: “As our ancestors buried Byzantium, let us hope that today, by building our vision for 2053, we also manage to put in the time warp of history the current Byzantines who are plotting against us.” [..] During the recent May 29, 2022 celebrations [1] apparently Erdoğan confirmed his approval of all the many unprovoked atrocities and conquests Muhammad committed. He boasted: “Do you know that Sultan Mehmet [Muhammad II] the Conqueror is not only the conqueror of Constantinople, but also the conqueror of Serbia, the Peloponnese, Athens, Wallachia, Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina?” | Tayyip Erdogan instead of being a modern day president who’s interested in living in peace with his neighbors, sees himself as more of a sultan, dedicated to advancing Islam wanting to rebuild the Ottoman empire while humiliating infidels through jihad [war]. The jihadist ideology dominates today’s Turkey; not due to any grievances, but because they are infidels/non-Muslim and with all Mohammad’s atrocities to resume once the sunset of Western power is complete.
