Believers in Christ Must Persevere! 10-23-21, The Apostle Paul said: "Let us not be weary in well doing:" Galatians 6:9 Also see 2 Thessalonians 3:13: The apostle cautions us, by reminding us, that there is a "due season" for all things (which is best known to the wise God); and assuring us, that though, as we see not the husbandman [farmer] reap harvest as soon as he has sown, but waiting patiently in hope that in a due season he shall reap; so we, though not presently rewarded, yet in God’s season we shall certainly reap. But he also said that if we will reap we must not faint, but go on and persevere in our course of well doing; otherwise we can no more expect to reap than the husbandman can who has sown seed, but out of impatience, before the time comes for him to reap, goes ahead and plow up again all that he has sown! See Ezekiel 33:13 -- Matthew Poole Commentary The Psalmist said: "Those who sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy." Psalm 126:5 In the Old Testament Job said: “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.” Job 13:15 Comments are closed.
