7-30-22, God's instruction for the construction of His tabernacle in the wilderness required the free will offerings of precious metals, jewels, fabrics and other materials. However, there came a time when they had to be restrained. The readiness and zeal with which these builders set about their work, the exactness with which they performed it and the faithfulness with which they objected to receive more contributions than needed is a good example for us today. This was a visible testimony of the love of God to the children of Israel who also showed their love of God by their giving back to Him their Savior. He was their protector as He traveled with them in the image of a cloud by day and fire by night. Exodus 35:20-29, 36:5-7, 40:34-38
