9-29-22, We see in Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth His love" — "setteth off" — in glorious contrast with all that men normally will do for each other. Jesus' love toward us in that, "while we were yet sinners" — that is, in a state NOT of any "goodness," [Romans 7:18] but on the contrary, "sinners" a state which His soul hates -- "Christ died for us" — the overpowering inference that's emphatically redoubled - THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD DIED FOR THE WICKED SINNER -- before -- we repented and loved Him. Thank YOU, Lord. John 3:16; Romans 4:25, 5:7
