It is highly political. The Netherlands-based International Criminal Court [ICC] should be defunded - it is a kangaroo court. Recently it exposed itself as a deeply antisemitic - anti Jewish State of Israel. The ICC is often criticized for being politicized and flawed. The USA doesn't recognize its jurisdiction over American citizens, viewing it as lacking legitimacy. The USA, China, Israel and Russia, choose not to submit to the ICC's mandates; so began the extraction of the ICC's teeth.
