John reads from a letter from 'CITY JOURNAL' by Glenn C. Loury [black American] is the Merton P. Stoltz Professor of the Social Sciences in the Department of Economics at Brown University -

 'I MUST OBJECT' [excerpt]
"... in the aftermath of the national fury that has erupted, and continues, over the apparent killing by a Minneapolis police officer of a black man [May 25, 2020], George Floyd, while he was being taken into custody, a letter appeared in my inbox from Christina H. Paxson, president of Brown University, where I teach. The letter, sent to thousands of students, staff, and faculty, was cosigned by many of Brown’s senior administrators and deans.

“We write to you today as leaders of this university,” the letter begins, “to express first deep sadness, but also anger, regarding the racist incidents that continue to cut short the lives of black people every day. The sadness comes from knowing that this is not a mere moment for our country. This is historical, lasting and persistent. Structures of power, deep-rooted histories of oppression, as well as prejudice, outright bigotry and hate, directly and personally affect the lives of millions of people in this nation every minute and every hour. Black people continue to live in fear for themselves, their children and their communities, at times in fear of the very systems and structures that are supposed to be in place to ensure safety and justice...."

I found the letter deeply disturbing, and was moved to compose the following response: [excerpt] "... I wondered why such a proclamation was necessary. Either it affirmed platitudes to which we can all subscribe, or, more menacingly, it asserted controversial and arguable positions as though they were axiomatic certainties. It trafficked in the social-justice warriors’ pedantic language and sophomoric nostrums. It invoked “race” gratuitously and unreflectively at every turn. It often presumed what remains to be established. It often elided pertinent differences between the many instances cited. It read in part like a loyalty oath. It declares in every paragraph: “We Hold These Truths to Be Self-Evident.”

And just what truths are these? The main one: that racial domination and “white supremacy” define our national existence even now, a century and a half after the end of slavery.

I deeply resented the letter. First of all, what makes an administrator (even a highly paid one, with an exalted title) a “leader” of this university? We, the faculty, are the only “leaders” worthy of mention when it comes to the realm of ideas. Who cares what some paper-pushing apparatchik thinks?..."  More here from Source

7-8-20, LiveScience.com -- There's something unusual discovered by astronomers out in the depths of space: four faint objects that at radio wavelengths are highly circular and brighter along their edges. And they're unlike any class of astronomical object ever seen before. They look like distant ring-shaped islands, they've been dubbed odd radio circles, or ORCs for their shape and overall peculiarity.

Astronomers don't yet know exactly how far away these ORCs are, but they could be linked to distant galaxies. All objects were found away from the Milky Way's galactic plane and are around 1 arcminute across (for comparison, the moon's diameter is 31 arcminutes).

12-24-18, CharismaNews -- Rabbi Eldad Shmuel organizes and attends a group of autistic children, he said: "Our minds are wondrous things, but sometimes the intellect interferes with our understanding God..."

​12-16-18, BreakingIsraelNews --  Rabbi Shmuel explained that, in the ultra-Orthodox community, it's accepted that autistic children have a certain level of ability to prophecy. He cited the source for this opinion as the Talmud (Baba Batra 12:b) which states, “Since the Temple was destroyed, prophecy was taken from the prophets and given to shotim and children.”

The Rabbi emphasized that the prophecies are warning the world to prepare for a great change. The Hebrew word shotim is usually translated as ‘fools’ but in rabbinic literature, it refers to a person with a distinctive lack of social functioning. This does not refer to their level of intelligence and is not used as a derogatory expression. In the framework of Jewish law, shotim is understood to be a classification that includes autistic people. Scripture says:

"I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." Psalms 139:14

Unlike prophecy which came to only a few gifted people who lived austere and holy lives, the Rabbi believes that every autistic child has the ability to prophecy.

Since 1985 people have used facilitated communication [FC] to communicate with autistic children who cannot speak normally. They can communicate if given the physical support of pointing at letters on an alphabet board or by typing on a keyboard.

Many autistic children say Messiah is already here and the final painful stages are about to commence.​

On June 17, 2018 astronomers at the University of Hawaii’s Institute of Astronomy twin Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System (ATLAS) telescopes discovered an enormous, unprecedented bright flash of LIGHT in space that had just appeared in the heavens. Supernovae typically take several weeks to develop; but this flash, 10 to 100 times brighter than an average supernova, appeared in a region of space the astronomers had checked only two days before. Kate Maguire at Queen’s University Belfast, part of the ATLAS team said:

6-26-20, Pastor Charles Stanley -- God has a purpose and plan for your life, and His timing is perfect. Sometimes He answers our prayers with "yes," "no" or "wait." When He says "not now" we can avail ourselves of the rich rewards that come when we wait.

One very practical blessing is that God strengthens us as we lean on Him during delays. Isaiah 40:31 tells us that "those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength." We are given the metaphor of an eagle with wind beneath his wings. The spirit of God lifts us up, and His energy and strength sustain us as we abide in Him.

When we are facing a difficult decision, the real key is learning to wait. There is no verse of Scripture that tells us to take control and fight our own battles. God is the one who fights them on our behalf (2 Chron. 20:15). We are to be patient and trust in Him.

When David faced his greatest battles, he waited upon the Lord. God delivered him from destruction and set his feet on solid ground. (Psalm 40:1-3, 66:16-20) He will do the same for you. When you abide in Him, He gives supernatural energy to accomplish the things He requires of you -- His Spirit does for you what you cannot do for yourself.

In reading through the Scriptures, we see that every time one of God's saints gains a victory, he or she is waiting and trusting in the Lord. You can likewise experience triumph in your life. When you have the omnipotent Creator of the universe acting on your behalf, you cannot lose. Source

7-6-20, Robert Spencer, JihadWatch – In Georgia over America’s celebration of ‘INDEPENDENCE DAY’ on July 4, 2020 we see another manifestation of the Leftist-Islamic alliance. Large gathering of appx 200 men in black shouting “Alhamdulillah” translation: “Thanks be to Allah” - this is not usually said except by observant Muslims. Apparently radical Leftists have the same goal as Islamic terror jihadis [war] do: not just the removal of statues of Confederates, but much more.

The targeting of Confederate statues is part of a larger effort to make Americans ashamed of our history as a whole, as the targeting of statues of United States heroes: Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant and [black] Frederick Douglass shows. The ultimate goal is the destruction of the U.S. as a free republic; replacing it with an authoritarian state. The nature of that authoritarian state, however, will be determined by the group that comes out on top after they turn on each other. [As in the Middle East where many Muslim groups fight each other such as: Iran that is Shiite Islam and Turkey that is Sunni Islam.]

Hundreds of heavily armed militia march shouting that they want the carvings of the sculpture depicting Gen. Robert E. Lee, Confederate President Jefferson Davis and Gen. Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson on Stone Mountain, Georgia removed: “We’re in your house… let’s go! I don’t see no white militia, the boogie boys, the three percenters and all the rest of these scared-ass rednecks. We here, where the **** you at? We’re in your house… let’s go!’

Reuters reported that the vast majority of the protesters, dressed in black and wearing face scarves, appeared to be African Americans, [were they 'Americans' or illegal migrant infiltrators??] though various races were represented and were peaceful although they threatened many citizens in their cars and pointed weapons  … more here

Speaker shouting:

USA TODAY, Police shootings myth:
7-3-20, There is no epidemic of fatal police shootings against unarmed Black Americans - Since 2015 when the data base began the reports show that the number of unarmed Black shooting victims is down 63%. Much of modern policing is driven by crime data and community demands for help. The African American community tends to be policed more heavily, because that is where people are disproportionately hurt by violent street crime. In New York City in 2018, 73% of shooting victims were Black, though Black residents comprise only 24% of the city’s population. Nationally, African Americans between the ages of 10 and 34 die from homicide at 13 times the rate of white Americans. Data shows that 93 percent of black homicide victims are killed by other blacks people - The left’s rebuttal that 84 percent of white homicide victims are killed by other whites is false. The Wall Street Journal‘s Jason Riley points out that the white crime rate is “much lower than the black rate.”

7-7-20, Pastor Charles Stanley -- Do you feel stuck in discouragement? If so, you are not alone.

At some point everyone experiences dashed hopes. Disappointment—an emotional response to a failed expectation—is the normal initial reaction. Allowed to linger, it can turn into discouragement, which hovers like a dense cloud. When that’s the case, there is no sense of joy or contentment, no matter what you do. The circumstances that trigger these emotions may be unavoidable, but the way we respond is a choice. We can either let sadness overwhelm our souls or face the situation with courage and bring it before the One who can help us.

Living in discouragement will divide the mind, making it hard to focus on anything besides our pain. Then we’ll look for someone to blame—whether God, people around us, or ourselves.

Frustration that isn’t handled well may develop into depression, which in turn can estrange us from others—people do not enjoy the company of someone who’s bitter and defeated. This isolation leads to a low self-esteem. Finally, in a fog of discouragement, we can make poor decisions based on crushed emotions instead of truth. Obviously, choosing this self-destructive path is not God’s best for our lives.

Though we’ll all face disappointment from time to time, believers are not to wallow in it. Instead, God wants us to trust Him with everything—even our unmet expectations and deepest sadnesses. [John 8:12; Psalm 16:8; Deuteronomy 13:4] Remember, there is divine purpose for everything He allows to touch His children’s lives (Rom. 8:28). Source 

On our way back to normal, it would be good for citizens if a few scaremongers apologized; such as doctors, scientists and those who:

• wanted a triage of over 80 year old Covid patients in order to stop ventilating them
• media that kept showing alarmist videos of Italian hospitals to illustrate a situation that as such didn’t exist
• all politicians calling for “testing, testing, testing” without even knowing what the test actually measures

I suggest that those young and healthy people who are currently walking around with a face mask would instead be better off wearing a helmet, because the risk of something falling on their head is greater than that of getting a serious case of Covid-19.
 
What now as the virus is gone? It will probably come back in winter, but it won’t be a second wave, but just a cold.  [Trump was right again!]

Iran hunkers down in Syria after USA 'Caesar Act' Sanctions
6-25-20, al-monitor.com -- Reportedly Iran has increased its weapon shipments to Syria to help the country face the USA newly introduced Caesar Act. This occurred just a few weeks after Iran defied US sanctions on Venezuela, in another indication that the Iranians are less concerned with short-term influence and are concentrating on the kind that crosses the Atlantic. The Caesar Act took effect June 17, 2020 seeking to pressure Syrian President Bashar al-Assad into negotiations with Pres Trump while preventing foreign allies from assisting the reconstruction of Syria's devastated cities and economy.
