Two Witnesses

Picture
Who Are God's Two Witnesses?

“These (speaking of the two witnesses) ARE the two olive
trees, and the two candlesticks standing before
the God of the earth.” Revelation 11:4

WHAT TWO OLIVE TREES?

Israel being the natural olive tree and Gentiles who became Christians were considered or called a wild olive tree being grafted into the natural olive tree, which represented Israel. We should view the two witnesses which ARE the two olive trees as two GROUPS of people rather than just two individual people.
Picture
The ONLY TWO WITNESSES in all the earth who stand for the
only almighty God are the TWO WITNESSES of Revelation:

#1 the true believers in Christ Jesus the Son of God, otherwise known as Christians or formally known as the WILD OLIVE TREE
#2 ISRAEL, which is the NATURAL OLIVE TREE

To confirm and backup this view:

-  we see two different victory songs are sung; they can't be sung by ONE individual or one group of people. The children of Israel were brought to victory by Moses being delivered from Egypt through the Red Sea. And Christians are brought to victory through the blood of the Lamb when Messiah Jesus was crucified and rose from death; each has a song to sing: Revelation 15:3 "they sang the song of Moses the servant of God AND the song of the Lamb."

- The New Jerusalem, the City of God Revelation 21:12-14 “And had a great wall and high, and had TWELVE gates, and at the twelve gates twelve angels, and the NAMES of the TWELVE TRIBES of the children of ISRAEL...And the wall of the city had TWELVE foundations and in them the NAMES of the TWELVE APOSTLES of the LAMB.”

  • The twelve foundations with the names of the twelve apostles obviously represent the church, or true believers in Christ Jesus, the Lamb of God.
  • The twelve gates with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel in turn signify the children of Israel, the Jews.

- We see in Ezekiel that the stick of Judah represents the church, or spiritual Israel and the stick of Joseph or Ephraim represents the Jews, or natural Israel.
Ezekiel  37:16-22: "Thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions:  And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. …, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand."

In Revelation 11 God gives power to His two witnesses as they are already here on earth. Revelation 11:3  “I will GIVE power unto My two witnesses...” And : Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive (be given) POWER after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you, and you shall be WITNESSES unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria and to the uttermost part of the earth (standing before or for God in all the earth).”
Picture
We are now living on the threshold of the greatest glory of God ever.
The Lord of Hosts said:

“I will fill this house with glory, the Silver is mine and the Gold
is mine. The glory of this LATTER house (speaking of the church
in the last days) shall be GREATER than the former (the early
church): and in this place will I give PEACE." Haggai 2:7-9

Yours in Christ Jesus forever,
Mark

Fables & Myths Series #6 final:
God Foretells the whole future - Not in bits and pieces

Picture
In 721BC the Bible's Old Testament prophet Hosea began prophesying at the fall of the Northern Kingdom to tell the soon to be captive Israelites what their long‐term future would be. Israel would disappear into the Gentile nations, but the Lord would not forget them and would save them. Through Hosea, God also told the Ten Tribes what would happen to them during the Christian Era.
Picture

Map: more here

In 606 BC the OT Prophet Daniel began prophesying at the fall of the kingdom of Judah to tell the Jews in captivity (and the Gentile nations who held them) what both their futures would be while Gentiles controlled the Holy Land. Through Daniel, God also told the Jews what would happen to them during the Christian Era.

So was the culminating book in the Bible positioned at the beginning of the Christian Era to tell the Church about just the first few years of this era (as Preterists believe)  or about the last few years of this era (as Dispensationalists believe)?

If they’re right, then God changed from foretelling the whole future of an era to foretelling just tiny bits of this one. Since “God changes not,” That’s unlikely!

It appears that Revelation was penned at the beginning of this era to tell God’s Two Witness (the Jewish people and the Gentile Church) what both their futures would be during this era and warn the unsaved world
of its impending judgment.

Conclusion: The rapture of the church does not take place at the beginning of the great tribulation.

Fables & Myths Series #5: Margaret MacDonald's Dream in 1830 AD

Picture
Picture
MARGARET MACDONALD
Fifteen Year Old Girl [1]

A sickly, 15 year old Scottish girl, Christian for only a year, claimed to have a “secret rapture” vision. [Also said to  have  been  in  the  occult, including  a documented levitation!]

1831AD, ROBERT NORTON

Robert Norton, an Irvingite evangelist, meets Margaret Macdonald. Norton is captivated by her “secret pre tribulation rapture” vision so he spreads it all over England; and that’s how all the doctrinal pieces came together.

Picture
How is the enemy going to spread this doctrine throughout the Western Church? In 1909 AD  C.I. SCOFIELD [not to be confused with Ellis Skolfield] accepts Darby’s “Seven Year Tribulation” invention.

Three members of his revision committee resign because it could not be supported by the Bible, nevertheless, Scofield includes the Ribera‐Lacunza‐Macdonald‐Darby creation in the 1909 [and future editions] of the Scofield Bible.

The Scofield group knows true origin of the “seven‐year” and “pre tribulation” rapture views, but since Irvingites were known to be cultish, hide the knowledge from the public as this interpretation had great fund‐raising capability and it increased the sales of the Scofield annotated Bible.

[1] Apparently there's a handwritten report of Margaret's dream here:

Fables & Myths Series #4:
The Irvingites 1827AD

Picture
Picture
LaCunza's Book "The Morning Watch" Translated into English by EDWARD IRVING – Founder of the Irvingite Cult

In 1870AD, JOHN N. DARBY the founder  of Plymouth Brethren, goes to Irvingite meetings where he heard Lacunza’s views. Darby then falls off his horse and lands on his head. While recovering, Darby decides that Lacunza’s, mini 45‐day tribulation is wrong so he modifies it by adding Daniel’s 70th Week!

1.  Darby invents a “Seven‐Year‐Great‐Tribulation” to take place at the end of the Christian era.
2. To make his new concept fit reality, he then theorizes a “2000 year gap” between the 69th and 70th weeks.

Both concepts were unsupportable creative theology! But knowing Irvingites to be cultish, the Plymouth Brethren now hide the origin of the view, claiming it to be their own. Darby then traveled to the United States where he met Dr. C. I. Scofield (of Scofield Bible fame).

Fables & Myths Series #3: 1765 Mini Trib? MANUEL DE LACUNZA Y DIAZ

Picture
Picture
The Poisonous Mushroom Grows
1745AD, MANUEL DE LACUNZA Y DIAZ

Born in Chile, but sails to Spain to become Jesuit priest. In 1765, because of their cruelty all Jesuits, including Lacunza, were expelled from Spain. Though not implicated, de Lacunza immigrated to Imola, Italy where he then claimed to be a converted Jew named Rabbi Juan Josafat Ben Ezra.

Based on the earlier views of Ribera, in 1785 de Lacunza writes “The Coming of Messiah in Glory and Majesty.” From Daniel 12:11-12 "
And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days."

De Lacunza theorized a 45‐day mini‐tribulation to take place at the end of the Christian Era. [He had a book published in Spain in 1821]. [to be cont'd]

Fables & Myths Series #2: Preterists?

Picture
Picture
THEN IN 1614 AD: THE PRETERIST View

Created for the same reason by Alcazar, another Jesuit, who claimed the Olivet Discourse and the book of Revelation were fulfilled by the fall of Jerusalem in 70AD!

This view is called 'Preterism' and supports 'Replacement Theology' (the idea that God broke covenant with the physical Seed of Abraham after the Cross and the Church is the only Israel of this era).

Despite the evidence of their own eyes (the new nation of Israel chock full of returned Jews), this dubious view is still accepted by many evangelical churches.

Both of the above views were initiated by Jesuits to derail the reformation, nevertheless, both views are currently acceptable doctrine by many Protestant churches. Problem is, both go directly against Scripture and history.

Series #1 Fables & Myths: PreTrib Rapture, New Temple, New Babylon & A Man as THE Anti-Christ

Picture
Picture
Priest Rebera, Resume Animal Sacrifices?
Darby, MacDonald & Scolfield

The following is pasted with permission: A widely held end-time view is that a seven-year time of trouble called THE GREAT TRIBULATION will take place at the end of this age after God removes His born again believers by a snatching away [aka the Rapture]. Few know the origin of the doctrine, nonetheless it is generally accepted as an established fact. However, having an interpretation of a few puzzling Bible verses doesn’t mean the explanation is true. It may be an incorrect conclusion as there is no direct scriptural support for it.
Yes, there are verses we interpret as a seven year-tribulation, but not one verse in the Bible says we are going to have such a time. The dogma has a most dubious beginning.
On October 31,
1517, in response to the Roman Catholic Pope's proclamation that new fees must be paid by the laity to help build St. Peter's Basilica; an angry Priest - Martin Luther - nailed a sheet of paper with 95 complaints on the chapel door objecting to many manmade dictates.  Until then, the generally accepted view of Bible prophecy was “linear historic,” that Revelation was in the process of being fulfilled throughout the Christian Era. However, in the 16th century, a new view of Bible prophecy was devised beginning with a Jesuit priest.

Picture
Installment #1 of Six
Enter the Jesuits

In the 16th  and 17th  centuries, Reformation leaders were calling the Roman Catholic hierarchy the “Whore of Babylon” the New Testament book of Revelation Chapter 17. In its attempt to put a halt to the true Gospel of Christ, the Roman Catholic Church began a counter‐reformation, during which two Jesuit priests were commissioned to initiate doctrines that would derail the reformation and they almost succeeded.
Revelation 17:4-5

"The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:  And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth."

FIRST, IN 1591 AD: THE FUTURIST VIEW developed and popularized by Jesuit priest Fr. Ribera who claimed that Revelation would not be fulfilled until the end of the Christian Era. He taught there would be a:
  • rebuilt Babylon
  • rebuilt temple in Jerusalem
  • restoration of animal sacrifices
  • and a future person - Antichrist

Sound familiar? It should, Ribera is the father of dispensational eschatology.
A new temple in Jerusalem? That's man's plan, but it's not going to happen.
