12-31-18, * -- The two sets of scripture of Ezekiel 8:7-9 and Mark 3:23-24 are indicative of events of the year 2018. They describe how the Lord directed the prophet Ezekiel to look beyond the walls of the Temple to see the truth with abominations and about a 'house' divided in Mark 3:23-24. Actually one story with two related parts. 

The mainstream news media, a minion of Marxist-inspired globalist politicians and their billionaire corporate sponsors, employs a craft of using a small ingredient they call truth mixed with propaganda to feed the world a diet of brainwashing misinformation. 12-30-18, Daily Caller -- President Donald Trump delivered on some major promises this year while facing political and media attacks in a tumultuous political climate in 2018 as follows:

1. The Senate: Biggest accomplishment of 2018 was increasing the Republican majority within the U.S. Senate holding a 53-47 [he did not campaign for the House where the GOP lost majority].
2. Move US Embassy to the capitol of Israel, Jerusalem. Since the USA passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 all previous US presidents declined to follow through and actually do it. However, Donald Trump campaigned on it and did it!
3. Cut taxes: President Trump’s tax cuts continues to benefit American workers. Average hourly wages increased by 2.9 percent last year, the largest increase in 8 years. 200,000 jobs were added in January, while the unemployment rate remained at its lowest level in 17 years, 4.1 percent. [Signed into law Dec 2017.]
4. Supreme & Other Federal Courts: Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Justice Gorsuch plus other federal judges. Regardless of whether Trump wins re-election in 2020, his legacy on the federal bench will likely be felt for decades to come. By Congress’s count, there have been 85 confirmed judges to the federal bench. George Washington is the only president who has appointed more judges.
5. North Korea & Iran: The extraordinary summit between Pres Trump & North Korean leader Kim Jong Un aimed at denuclearizing the Korean peninsula was a milestone event. Trump also fulfilled his promise of withdrawing from Obama’s Iranian nuclear deal. The president fully reversed the agreement imposing heavy sanctions warning Iran that it would face major consequences if it enriched nuclear material.
6. Economy/Tariffs: Trump realized his decades-old dream of imposing tariffs on rival nations especially China. Also levied tariffs on steel imports [Turkey] with some exceptions for allied nations with a positive outcome for the USA.
7. NAFTA Changed to USMCA: Trump fulfilled one of his signature campaign promises to re-negotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA); after nearly two years of high-stakes negotiations  -- quite an achievement. It's been renamed USMCA [United States Mexico Canada Agreement] increases protections for U.S. workers increasing mandates for products that must be built in the U.S. [The deal is not completely set it stone as it must be approved by the 2019 Congress.]
8. Criminal Justice Reform: The U.S. Senate in December 2018 passed the First Step Act. The criminal justice reform bill delivers the most sweeping changes to the federal penal system in decades and is aimed at reducing overall incarceration.

Matthew 4:23

12-28-18, Henry Morris, Ph.D-- In Matthew 4:23 we read the first mention of “the gospel” in the New Testament, and it's significant that Christ was emphasizing, first of all, the long-range future aspect of the gospel, the Kingdom.

In that great day, all manner of sickness and even death itself will be eternally healed, when the earth’s age-long curse, pronounced originally because of man’s sin (Genesis 3:17), is finally removed (Revelation 22:3). As a token of this future deliverance, He demonstrated His power by supernaturally healing great numbers of needy people.

The next verse elaborates further on the ubiquity of His healing ministry--“all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy” (Matthew 4:24). No one was omitted. It was not a matter of only those who had faith, or those with psychosomatic ailments, or any other distinction. Everyone was healed of every infirmity of every kind!

Nothing was too hard for the Lord to cure—not even psychiatric disorders or demon possession. However, it was not that way later on in His ministry (e.g., Mark 6:5) nor in that of the apostle Paul (e.g., 2 Timothy 4:20) or the other apostles (e.g., Matthew 17:14-16).

​Evidently the tremendous scope of this initial healing ministry of the Lord was intended to serve as a type and promise of what will occur worldwide and eternally when His kingdom comes and His will is done on Earth as it is in heaven. 12-27-18, Times of Israel -- An Israeli security official confirmed to the Associated Press on Wednesday, 12-26-18 that Israel carried out the overnight airstrike in Syria, saying a series of Iranian targets were hit. The civilian company has been accused on multiple occasions of smuggling Iranian arms to Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed Lebanese terror group that fought Israel in a 2006 war, and media speculated that its cargo had been the target of the strikes. 5-5-2009, Our Daily Bread -- When God spoke to Elijah on Mount Horeb, He could have done so in the wind, earthquake, or fire. But He didn’t. He spoke with a “still small voice” (1 Kings 19:12). God asked, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” (1 Kings 19:13), as he hid from Jezebel who had threatened to kill him.

Elijah’s reply revealed what God already knew—the depth of his fear and discouragement. He said, in effect, “Lord, I have been most zealous when others have forsaken You. What do I get for being the only one standing up for You?” (1 Kings 19:14).

Was Elijah really the only one serving God? No. God had “seven thousand in Israel . . . whose knees have not bowed to Baal” (1 Kings 19:18).

In the depths of our fear or despair, we too may think we’re the only one serving God. That may happen right after the height of a success, as it did for Elijah. Psalm 46:10 reminds us to “be still, and know” that He is God. The sooner we focus on Him and His power, the quicker we will see relief from our fear and self-pity.

Both the clashing cymbals of our failures and the loud trumpeting of our successes can drown out God’s still small voice. It’s time for us to quiet our hearts to listen for Him as we meditate on His Word. Psalm 32:8-9 Source

12-28-18, The Hill -- A significant majority of Americans appear to be unaware of how much of the federal bureaucracy is currently shuttered. The new  Hill-HarrisX poll reveals that only 31 percent of registered voters were able to correctly answer that about one-fourth of the federal government has been affected by the impasse between congressional Democrats and President Trump over funding a security barrier aka "wall" between the United States and Mexico.
The greatest correct answers came from senior citizens: 45 percent.  Thirty-two percent of Democrats were correct, thirty-one percent Republican and thirty percent of Independents gave the right response. More here

12-25-18, Moody Bible Inst -- With a lustrous, pale yellow appearance, pyrite is perfectly designed to deceive and people frequently mistake it for gold. However, upon further examination the density and hardness test reveals that pyrite can be crushed far more easily than genuine gold. When crushed pyrite fragments are not yellow, but a putrid greenish black. It's known as “fool’s gold.”

The teachers of the Bible's Old Testament law and the Pharisees with whom Jesus clashed had much in common with fool’s gold. They presented a lustrous appearance. Phylacteries—small boxes Jewish men wear as a reminder of God’s commands (Deut. 6:8)—and tassels on their clothing were visible signs of piety. These teachers made sure to show off, wearing their phylacteries wide and their tassels long. Like the pyrite, upon further examination it was revealed that such appearances were deceiving. Despite their phylacteries, fringes and other signs of piety, these Pharisees were not truly devoted to God’s will. Such things were just for show.

“Everything they do is done for people to see. They neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness.” Deut 6:5-7, 23

God, is no fool and is not tricked by such deceptions. The true treasure God values is not outward luster, but inward devotion to His will. We should “hunger and thirst for righteousness” and above all else to seek the His kingdom. (Deut 5:6, 6:33)

12-27-18, The Federalist -- The Washington Post has caused itself a major scandal since it has come to light they and their martyred “reformer” Jamal Khashoggi were publishing anti-Saudi propaganda for Qatar. They tried to bury this in a pre-Christmas Saturday news dump, but that can’t stop the damage this will do to their reputation.

Security Studies Group research reported from reliable sources familiar with the Khashoggi investigation that documents showing wire transfers from Qatar were found in his Turkey apartment. They were immediately put out of reach by Turkish security services, so they did not show the collusion between Khashoggi, Qatar and Turkey prior to his death. We have published a new, unredacted set of findings about the case. It is damning to Qatar, Turkey, and the Washington Post. [..snip]

Qatar has been a U.S. intermediary to numerous extremist groups including our current peace negotiations with the Islamic terror group, Taliban in Afghanistan and ransom delivery for the release of AWOL US soldier Bowe Bergdahl. The five Taliban leaders involved in the trade for Bergdahl joined the Taliban’s political offices in Qatar. Qatar and Turkey both benefit from these attacks on Saudi Arabia and have tried to parley them into actual gains.

Turkey's leader, Erdogan actually asked the US to send his main political rival, Fethulla Gulen, to Turkey. Mr Gulen resides in the US is a green card holder. The irony of Erdogan using the death of a Saudi opposition activist; Khashoggi to ask for the extradition of opposition leaders he would most likely kill is stunning.

Turkey says it has audio and video proof that Khashoggi was murdered in the Saudi consulate and Saudi has admitted it's true. Although no one outside of Turkey officials have seen or heard the recordings. No proof has been provided and his body has not been recovered. Strange.

12-26-18, Robert Spencer -- In an effort to rewrite early American history to put Muslims in it, and to recast President Thomas Jefferson as an Islamophilic multiculturalist, American Muslim's speak about his Koran. The reality of this issue is that the president owned an Islamic Koran because he understood that one must know one’s enemy in order to  defeat him.

Jefferson recounted in a letter to Congress what Abdrahaman’s response was when he and Adams asked him “concerning the ground of the pretensions to make war upon nations who had done them no injury.” The 'Barbary Pirates' [aka Ottoman army Muslims] were attacking ships in the Atlantic. Abdrahaman said: "...written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise." ​1900s By E. W. Kenyon* -- For the first 250 years the early Christian Church did not have the Pauline Revelation bound together as we have it today. That is the reason that so many errors crept in and gained the ascendancy over the Church. The key word is Righteousness.
Romans 1:16-17, “For I am not ashamed of the good news, for it is an unveiling of the ability of God to save all who believe in Jesus Christ.” The revelation that was given regarding “righteousness” means the ability to stand in the presence of God without the sense of guilt or condemnation. John 15:5 The “branch” is the fruit-bearing part of the vine. It reveals what is in the vine, the character of the vine; all this is seen in the fruit. 

Redemption --“Redemption” means deliverance out of the hand of the Enemy, the absolute defeat of Satan. There is no new creation if the old man still holds dominion in us. He stopped being in the new creation and a new man took his place. The new creation is really the life of God coming into the human spirit, driving out spiritual death and making one absolutely one with Christ. New Righteousness --  Israel had “righteousness” reckoned to them if they kept the law of the covenant. [Psalm 106:31] They were never righteous. They had Righteousness set to their account. We however, because we have received the nature of the Father, making us new creations, making us alive in Christ -- we have received the Righteousness of God in our spirits. Romans 3:26, 4:3; I Corinthians 1:30; II Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 3:6-8; James 2:23

New Fellowship -- When we step out of love disobeying God's New Covenant, we step:

1. out of fellowship
2. we step into darkness
3. we lose our confidence and freedom of faith

Then Satan gains the ascendancy over us; but when we walk in the Light [John 8:12] - as He is in the light - we have fellowship one with another. Sonship is a rich, beautiful fellowship with the Father. 

The word “backslide” [Proverbs 14:14] does not occur in the New Testament. Backsliding had reference to servants, not sons. Sons don’t backslide. They break fellowship. And, in the Epistle of John [1 John 1:5-6, 7-8, 9-10] its primary message is how to restore fellowship and how to enjoy the fullness of a perfect fellowship. Does the president have legal authority to fire the Fed chair?
12-25-18, President Trump's recent criticism of Jay Powell, chairman of the Federal Reserve, has prompted questions about whether the president might try to fire him. Binyamin Appelbaum said,"The law doesn't say anything about it, and opinion is divided. There are some who think the president has considerable latitude to do that [fire the fed chairman], basically, for any reason that he would like. There are others who think there's an amount of protection, that the president would need to find some cause beyond a policy disagreement even to remove Mr. Powell as chairman."

12-26-18, Ukraine 'blinks' ... After a maritime conflict with Moscow in the Black Sea in late November 2018, acting Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko accused Russia of having sharply raised its military presence on the border, with Ukraine warning of the threat of 'full-scale war' and imposed 30 day martial law. He said that Ukraine had boosted its defenses during the 30 days of martial law, which was imposed in 10 regions that adjoin either Russia's borders or areas controlled by Moscow-backed separatists, as well as along the coast of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. Poroshenko also said that one of the reasons to end the martial law was the presidential election scheduled for March 31, 2019. Campaigning and elections are banned under martial law, he explained. ​11-27-18, Larry Heiniger, Russia -- The hidden issue at play here is that Ukraine’s President Poroshenko is up for re-election scheduled for March 30, 2019. Many Ukrainians wish to throw out the America X- CIA agent who was installed by Obama and Merkel of Germany with the assistance of the Soros’ Yellow revolution.  His own administration is attempting to cause his defeat.  Poroshenko’s trying to use this fabricated Russia incident to convince the Ukraine people that they must re-elect him to save them from Russia.

Since 2014 when Russia took back Crimea they control the mouth of the Azov Sea and have built the Kerch Strait Bridge across the mouth of the sea controlling access to the Black Sea.  Under the existing laws, Ukraine MUST obtain permission from Russia to navigate the strait to the bridge that is in Russian territory.  In the past, Ukraine was always granted permission and the Russian Navy escorted their NAVY ships to the Black Sea and back.  However, this time Poroshenko attempted to sail these very same ships that had legally made the passage in the past, through the strait without permission knowing what would happen.  It’s his re-election gambit.

I would expect Haley to make a statement [2] while she still has the chance, the report is so biased that it has no relevance to the actual incident it is the same old ‘Russia poisoned their own spy,’ when UK’s MI6 clowns actually were to blame. The UK is more than happy to join the anti-Russia band wagon as a smoke screen on their own problems because of the USA FISA court treason of their MI6 involvement.

Russian Christianity was born in Crimea more than four centuries ago at Sevastopol. In the 1950s Nikita Khrushchev gave Crimea to Ukraine friends; it was a political “gift.”

12-10-18, Dan Flynn of Van Texas wants God's TEN COMMANDMENTS back in Texas public schools so he filed House Bill 307. It says school officials — particularly school board trustees — cannot prevent copies of those commandments from being posted “in a prominent location” in classrooms. Flynn said: “I think it’s a good idea. If a teacher wants to put it in her classroom, she should be able to do it just as if she wanted to put up Halloween, Thanksgiving or any other decorations. I think it’s a good list of disciplines that young people would find very meaningful to them.”

​Flynn has unsuccessfully proposed this measure in past legislative sessions. He noted there are monuments — such as the one on the Texas Capitol grounds — that are dedicated to the Ten Commandments. The one in Austin, that features the commandments carved into Texas Sunset Red Granite, was erected by the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Texas in 1961.

In November, voters in Alabama approved a constitutional amendment allowing the Ten Commandments to be displayed in government buildings and schools. When asked if this could spark a legal battle, Flynn said: “I don’t know why it should. It’s just allowing teachers to put something in their room that is about good values.” ​More here
