To many of us, it is becoming exceedingly clear that something very unusual is happening to our planet. I went and looked it up, and I was astounded to learn that the crust of the Earth has been shaken by 144 major earthquakes over the last 7 days, and that includes more than 50 on Sunday alone. These are not small earthquakes; the USGS considers any earthquake that is at least magnitude 4.5 to be “significant”, and they're happening so rapidly right now that it is difficult to keep up with them. The magnitude 8.2 quake that hit Fiji on 8/19/18 was the second largest “deep focus” earthquake ever recorded, and the 7.3 that hit Venezuela on 8/21/18 was highly unusual as well. More here

8-21-18, Tarboro, NoCarolina -- Ten year old, Tamarion Bryant told his mother he was punished by his unidentified school teacher at North East Carolina Preparatory Schoolfor saying, 'yes, ma'am.' The female teacher's reason for her dislike of being called 'ma'am' was not given.
Tamarion's parents said their children are taught to respectfully refer to adults as "ma'am" and "sir," and that Tamarion was not intending to be disrespectful. His father, McArthur Bryant said, "At the end of the day as a father, to feel kind of responsible for that...knowing that I have been raising him and doing the best that I can, it's not acceptable," His mother, Teretha Wilson said, "the teacher also told Tamarion that "if she had something, she would have thrown it at him."
School director William J. Etheridge declined to identify the teacher involved in the matter saying, "on the advice of our attorney," but did acknowledge the incident in a statement: "It has been handled appropriately by the K-7 principal." Things to Flee
“Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”

8-11-18, Henry Morris, Ph.D. -- There are times to stand and there are times to flee. There are some things so fearful and deadly that it is foolish to try to face them at all. The only rational course, when confronted by them, is to flee!
The most obvious of all such enemies is the wrath of God, for His judgment is terrible and eternal. Therefore, His message to all unsaved men and women is to “flee from the wrath to come” (Matthew 3:7—the first occurrence of “flee” in the New Testament) by receiving Christ as Savior.
It is wise to refrain from all kinds of sin, but certain sins have such deadly consequences, even in this present life, that the Scriptures warn us to flee from them. “But thou, O man of God, flee these things” (1 Timothy 6:11). In context, the apostle Paul is here warning against “the love of money” (v. 10) and those who suppose “that gain is godliness” (v. 5). Those who desire to be rich, he says, “fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition” (v. 9). Therefore, flee from this temptation!
He also warns us to “flee from idolatry” (1 Corinthians 10:14)—that is, from worshipping and serving any part of the creation “more than the Creator” (Romans 1:25). This warning is especially appropriate today when there is such a wide resurgence of evolutionary pantheism. We must “flee fornication” (1 Corinthians 6:18). This is a deadly danger to the Christian in this day of amorality.
Finally, as our text says, young believers (and old believers need this admonition, too!) should “flee also youthful lusts,” (2Timothy 2:22) if we are to be able to “call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” Source

The Fire Dept of New York [FDNY] will have to make do with just $2.04 billion, and the health department with $1.6 billion. In 2016 the DHS had appx 2,600 employees. That’s 1 employee to every 23 homeless people. Meanwhile 234 New Yorkers get only 1 police officer to serve and protect them from criminals. One homeless shelter charges $328/room.
- In California, Los Angeles doubled its homeless budget to $450 million. Los Angeles County plans to spend $374 million. As Los Angeles threw more money at the homeless problem, its homeless population increased 26%. The billions in tax hikes going to build homeless housing are being spent on units that cost an average of $479,000 per unit. At that rate, it would take $15 billion to house all the homeless.

Unusual Heavy Snowfalls in Austria, Germany, Newfoundland
8-22-18, Aljazeera -- In Spain & Portugal the temperatures are in the 80s F. However, in the Austrian mountains snow has risen to depths of ninteen inches on August 18-19, 2018. The dramatic change in conditions hit the ski resorts south of Salzburg and the plunging temperatures led to more 12 inches of snow. Several Austrian mountains had a good covering prompting people to break out the snow shovels and ploughs. Similarly on the summit of the Zugpitze Mountain in Gainau near Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Southern Germany, they also enjoyed a good dusting of summertime snow. The Albuquerque, New Mexico-based MRFF said Teichert "should be doing time behind prison bars, not commanding a wing wearing general's stars. He's a fundamentalist Christian tyrant and religious extremist predator." They claim they received 41 client complaints against Teichert during his time at Edwards AFB.
The group is furious at Gen Teichert for posting links to Christian articles, a Christmas video and scriptures on his personal website ... AND he called Prayer at Lunchtime for the United States! The website also has a list of prayer requests. According to a brief "About John" biography on his private website:
"John is an active duty Brigadier General who has served in the United States Air Force since 1994, and who was saved by grace through faith in Christ in 2004. He has commanded at the wing, group and squadron levels, and is currently serving as Air Force commander. The Lord has blessed his career while burdening his heart with the need for our nation to return to its Christian foundation. He serves alongside his amazing wife of 20 years and their three incredible children.
