Businesses have closed many bankruptcies in process and suicides are on the increase. Many people are defying the order and are being arrested while criminals – for their safety - are being released from jail.

Another 3,000 have called out of work after showing signs of illness or other possible coronavirus-related complications.” Because of the lack of social distancing, many workers have gotten sick and even died from the virus. To help stop the spread and protect workers, grocery stores should transition into online shopping only where customers can only pick up or have their items delivered.

How else would we obey the command not to be unequally yoked [2 Corinthians 6:14] with unbelievers if we can’t discern if they are? It’s basically simple to see if a person’s “fruits” are consistent with their claim. Actions, behaviors and obedience to God are their ‘fruit’ as true believers do not the following:
- deny God’s Word spending time inventing various conflicting theories in an attempt to replace God’s truths trying to make it say what they want to believe; changing the meaning of what it literally says
- “pick and choose” what they want to believe, ignore, deny or repeatedly disobey what they don’t want to believe without repentance
The Lord Jesus Christ’s Great Commission [Matthew 28:18-20] to His faithful followers is one of the most significant passages in the Holy Bible. It's the last recorded personal instruction given by Jesus to His disciples and a special calling to all His followers to share His good news with a lost and dying world. Jesus came, died and rose again to save all repentant sinners who seriously intend to live for and obey Him. All the rest of the people of Israel (except Caleb and Joshua) who had been over 20 at the beginning of the 40-year wilderness wanderings had died there (Numbers 14:28-34) and so there were no others over sixty years old.
In former days men had lived much longer. The oldest, Methuselah died at age 969 [Genesis 5:27], Adam died at 930, Noah at 950, Shem only lived to 600 and Abraham died at 175 years of age. Thus, the normal lifespan by Moses’ time was down to 70 or 80 years and he prophesied that this would continue.
The purpose of mankind is to honor and serve almighty God; that's why He created us. And as we grow older it should be our focus as no other. We fulfill our purpose of glorifying God by living our lives in relationship and faithful service to Him (1 Samuel 12:24; John 17:4) and telling others what Christ has done how our lives have changed. King Solomon tried living for his own pleasure, yet at the end of his life he concluded that the only worthwhile life is one of honor and obedience to God (Ecclesiastes 12:13–14).
For mankind the latter years are largely “labor and sorrow.” (Genesis 3:17-20). Many elderly people struggle mightily to prolong their lives; but we're “soon cut off,” then, we “fly away!” The soul/spirit complex of the born again [John 3:3, 7] Christian believer, released from its weary body, flies away to be with the Lord. Those left behind may sorrow, but “to depart, and to be with Christ…is far better.” [Philippians 3:17, 20-21]

- Only when we have repented trusting Christ Jesus to forgive and accept us as we obey Him can we be forgiven (Rom. 3:21–26)
- All forms of blasphemy are forgivable except the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, which is the impenitent ascription of the works of the Devil to the Lord even when one knows better (Matt. 12:22–32). Only those whose hearts have been completely hardened against God and His grace have committed this sin.
