Thanksgiving Proclamations in USA
All Professing Gratefulness to Almighty God
First Proclamation Was in 1777 AD
"O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good; for His mercy endures forever."
11-21-18, As we celebrate Thanksgiving this year, we must remember to retain the original gratefulness to God that has always been the spirit of this – the oldest of all American holidays. Clearly it had nothing to do with the native Indians and everything to do with gratefulness to almighty God. Below are excerpts of Thanksgiving proclamations penned by various US Founding Fathers. It was made an official legal holiday by Abraham Lincoln in 1863:
". . . thanksgiving and praise [so] that “the good people may express the grateful feelings of their hearts and join . . . their supplication that it may please God, through the merits of Jesus Christ, to forgive [our sins] and . . . to enlarge [His] kingdom which consisteth in righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.”
Continental Congress, 1777 – written by SIGNERS OF THE DECLARATION SAMUEL ADAMS AND RICHARD HENRY LEE
" a day of public Thanksgiving to Almighty God . . . to [ask] Him that He would . . . pour out His Holy Spirit on all ministers of the Gospel; that He would . . . spread the light of Christian knowledge through the remotest corners of the earth; . . . and that He would establish these United States upon the basis of religion and virtue."
GOVERNOR THOMAS JEFFERSON, 1779
"Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor. . . . Now, therefore, I do appoint Thursday, the 26th day of November 1789 . . . that we may all unite to render unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection.
PRESIDENT GEORGE WASHINGTON, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 1789
"a day of public thanksgiving and praise . . . to render to God the tribute of praise for His unmerited goodness towards us . . . [by giving to] us . . . the Holy Scriptures which are able to enlighten and make us wise to eternal salvation. And [to] present our supplications...that He would forgive our manifold sins and . . . cause the benign religion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to be known, understood, and practiced among all the inhabitants of the earth."
GOVERNOR JOHN HANCOCK, 1791
President Abraham Lincoln, Oct 3, 1863:
"…I do therefore invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquility and Union."
America Has Built 900+ Military Bases Worldwide At an Annual Cost of $1 Trillion - So Why Can't It Build A Wall on Our Own Southern Border?
The 900+ military bases around the world has a budget of $1 Trillion annually. Yet thus far, US leaders have placed many stumbling blocks in the path of completing the security wall for the USA on her southern border of 1,954 miles. It's cost would be a mere $70 billion; and compared to the cost of maintaining all the illegal migrants flooding the nation between $116 billion and $135 billion annually [here] and [here]... a bargain.
In March 2018, Congress passed its trillion-dollar spending bill; that had only $1.6 billion for border security. A pittance for Americans and multiple billions for foreign lands; outrageous! The Trump administration has one last chance – with a Republican lame duck [soon to be out of office replaced by Democrats] Congress still in place – to secure funding for the US-Mexican border wall. Time is ticking as Dems take control in January 2019 ... about six weeks. More here
Proposed US Southern Border Wall: The administration has asked for:
- for years 2018 & 2019 $3.2 billion to build or replace 74 miles of barriers in Texas’ Rio Grande Valley and San Diego
- the 1,954 mile border wall has been projected to cost appx $70 billion to build. [We pay appx $120 billion annually to maintain illegal migrants] [here]
IMMIGRATION VIEWS FROM:
1996 Pres Bill Clinton
2003 Mrs Clinton
2006 Senator Obama
They agree with President Trump; at least they used to.
"All Americans, not only in the States most heavily affected, but in every place in this country, are rightly disturbed by the large numbers of illegal aliens entering our country. The jobs they hold might otherwise be held by citizens or legal immigrants. The public service they use impose burdens on our taxpayers; that's why our administration has moved aggressively to secure our borders more by hiring a record number of new border guards, by deporting twice as many criminal aliens as ever before, by cracking down on illegal hiring, by barring welfare benefits to illegal aliens. In the budget I will present to you, we will try to do more to speed the deportation of illegal aliens who are arrested for crimes, to better identify illegal aliens in the workplace as recommended by the commission headed by former Congresswoman Barbara Jordan. We are a nation of immigrants. But we are also a nation of laws. It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws we have seen in recent years, and we must do more to stop it." April 3, 2006, Transcript Excerpt:
"The American people are a welcoming and generous people. But those who enter our country illegally, and those who employ them, disrespect the rule of law. And because we live in an age where terrorists are challenging our borders, we simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, and unchecked. Americans are right to demand better border security and better enforcement of the immigration laws." Source: https://goo.gl/HUJCkY
Jan 31, 2018 - Pres Trump is going full-steam ahead with his immigration agenda. He wants migrants to come in legally; and employers to stop hiring them just like Mrs Clinton said in 2003. His focus in on improving the lives of American Citizens and those migrants who come in illegally are criminals. They are disrespecting our laws just like Obama said in 2006. Yes, if you commit a crime you are a criminal. He wants Americans to have the jobs the migrants are taking just like Bill Clinton warned in 1996. https://goo.gl/G4xRTf
All Across America Historical Monuments and Statues Are Being Vandalized or Removed
The Man in the Video Looses His Civility Using Terrible Profanity Although His Beliefs Are Justified - Because He's Proud of the USA and Opposes the Destruction of Our Heritage ... It Doesn't Mean He's a Racist
Unidentified man is told woman recording him - he lambasts her anyway for wanting to destroy a 1919 monument ... doesn't mean he's a racist.
Two minute video [much profane language] here:
Responding to the angry tirade in the video, Marshall Davis, spokesman for the Texas division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, which owns the memorial/monument to 32 Texas regiments of the Confederate Army, said the group is not trying to incite controversy. He said, "We have no agenda other than to honor our Confederate ancestors and preserve true history. Although the man's behavior was deplorable, I agree with him about our heritage. Confederate history should be treated with the same tolerance and diversity that has been extended to other groups."
The protester, Tracie Parzen [and her husband Jeremy] were confronted by the unidentified angry man. She said more protests are planned for December and Martin Luther King Jr. Day next year. [She has a go-fund-me page.] City Attorney Jack Smith called the memorial "odious," but he said both sides have the right to freely express themselves. More here

Gov. Rick Scott of Florida rejected Obama's federal funds to help build a high speed rail line from Tampa to Orlando, saying it was too expensive for taxpayers. However, a high-speed rail line is moving ahead in Texas, connecting Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston, but it is being financed by private industry.
Trump administration approves $650 million grant for rail system | More
5-22-17, Pres Trump fully fund a $650 million federal grant for electrification of a San Francisco Bay Area train system that would also help California's high-speed rail project although California's House Republicans asked the President to block it. Obama began the dream in 2009 and seven years later only California was left with plans as Ohio, Wisconsin & Florida refused the Federal grants as it would be too expensive for taxpayers to carry the brunt of the bill. Deceiving the Elect(orate)
"He that works deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that tells lies shall not tarry in My sight."
11-13-18, * -- The recent midterm elections in the United States has seen problems in Georgia, Florida, Arizona and other places across the country. Strong evidence of massive voter fraud in Democratic Party-controlled areas has occurred. Every election in recent memory has had such problems.
Example: This year, the Texas Democratic Party mailed voter registration applications to non-citizens with pre-printed "Yes" answer to questions :
- "Are you a United States Citizen?"
- "Will you be 18 years of age on or before election day?"
There's yet another mess in Florida where apparently the same person, Democrat Brenda Snipes, who manipulated votes in the 2012 elections is at it again. Whenever someone speaks of votes being stolen, the progressives, leftists, liberals and Democrats laugh and roll their eyes. They dismiss this charge as wild conspiracy theories. However, there have been numerous prosecutions and convictions of people who have committed voter fraud [here]; proving the naysayers are wrong.
Psalm 101:7 says, "He that works deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that tells lies shall not tarry in my sight."
Deceiving the electorate has become big business. It's time to say "Not in my house." [Psalm 101:7; Joshua 24:15; Luke 4:8]
“These six [things] doth the LORD hate: yea, seven [are] an abomination unto Him… a false witness. Proverbs 6:16-19 Bread of deceit [is] sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel. Proverbs 20:17 He that hateth dissembleth with his lips and layeth up deceit within him.” Proverbs 26:24-26
Oct 19, 2018 - The Texas Democratic Party sent voter registration applications to ... mailers in which the U.S. citizenship box purportedly came pre-filled as “yes.

11-8-18, Republicans Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis may be in trouble. Despite clear margins of victory for both men on election night, 11-6-18, Democrat election supervisors in Broward and Palm Beach counties say they aren’t done tallying up votes. Two days after the polls closed on election night, Democrat candidates Bill Nelson and Andrew Gillum benefited from nearly 46,000 Democrat votes that have been “found” in those counties and added to the statewide election outcome.
11-9-18, Miami Herald -- Amid accusations of incompetence, Brenda Snipes mixed invalid ballots with valid... the vast majority were declared invalid by the county’s canvassing board judges ... she claims it was an accident. An elementary school teacher, Lakeisha Williams, of Broward County found a box of ballots in the school's storage area... | more here
Blue wave? What blue wave? Yes, the Democrats seized control of the House of Representatives on 11/6/18 midterm elections. That's a victory, however looking beyond a few dozen House races it's clear there is no blue wave sweeping across the country, toppling Republican power. The Republicans have control of the Senate and the Court ...

'STAR SPANGLED BANNER'
Written On September 14, 1814 By Francis Scott Key
Another chapter in the ongoing War of 1812 occurred on a rainy September 13, 1814, British warships sent a downpour of shells and rockets onto Fort McHenry in Baltimore Maryland's Harbor, relentlessly pounding the American fort for 25 hours all through the dark night. The bombardment, known as the Battle of Baltimore, came only weeks after the British had attacked Washington, D.C., burning the Capitol, the Treasury and the President's house. Francis Scott Key, a 35-year-old American lawyer, had boarded the flagship of the British fleet on the Chesapeake Bay in hopes of persuading the British to a prisoner exchange. He went down into the hold of the ship to inform the prisoners of the pending release. They were not immediately released however. Francis Key watched as the British began a barrage on Fort McHenry eight miles away knowing that once the fort's flag was down they had victory; but the soldiers at the Fort held up the flag through the night so the words are very significant: See eleven minute video here
"Oh, say, can you see? By the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming;
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming.
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air.
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there:
Oh, say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave?
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!"
The Flag's Beginnings: The Star-Spangled Banner's history starts not with Francis Scott Key, but a year earlier with Maj. George Armistead, the commander of Fort McHenry. Knowing that his fort was a likely British target, Armistead told the commander of Baltimore defenses in July 1813 that he needed a flag—a big one. "We, sir, are ready at Fort McHenry to defend Baltimore against invading by the enemy…except that we have no suitable ensign to display over the Star Fort, and it is my desire to have a flag so large that the British will have no difficulty in seeing it from a distance." Twenty-nine year old widow, Mary Young Pickergill was hired by Armistead. She was a professional flagmaker, the garrison flag measuring 30 by 42 feet with 15 stars and 15 stripes (each star and stripe representing a state). She was paid $405.00; and received another $168.54 for sewing a smaller (17 by 25 feet) storm flag. It was this storm flag—not the garrison flag now known as the Star-Spangled Banner—which actually flew during the battle. The garrison flag, according to eyewitness accounts, wasn't raised until the morning. Source

11-10-18, Florida Mid Term Election: Broward county's elections supervisor, Brenda Snipes claims that many rejected ballots accidentally mixed with valid ones, a circumstance that is unlikely to help Brenda Snipes push back against Republican allegations of incompetence. She claims it's irreversible.
11-9-18, Miami Herald -- Circuit Judge Carol-Lisa Phillips also held that Brenda Snipes, Broward’s supervisor of elections, was in violation of Florida public-records laws for not fulfilling a request for information by Republican Gov Rick Scott’s campaign. Currently Scott holds lead over Dem Bill Nelson by appx 15,000 votes.
