Between 1096 and 1271 the best-known crusades are those fought against the Muslims of the eastern Mediterranean for the Holy Land. Crusades were also fought from the 12th century against the Iberian Moors, the Ottoman Empire and for a variety of other reasons. Holy Roman Emperor Henry IV, ordered the Jews to be protected when he learned of Emicho's intent to kill them. Bishop of Speyer gave shelter to the Jews and the Bishop of Worms also attempted to shelter Jews, but the crusaders broke in to his episcopal palace and killed at least 800 Jews when they refused Catholic [aka Christian] baptism. Jesus parable of wine skins: No one puts a piece of a new cloth upon old; otherwise the new will also be weak and tear. The new agreeth not with the old. They had an expectation that Jesus would maintain their vision for holiness and piety as done by their forefathers. A new testament and the Savior had arrived with a new covenant for salvation; Jesus broke their expectations and they hated Him. God was doing a new thing (new wine). People tried to project their version of how God’s Messiah should behave onto Jesus and His ministry as they didn’t like how He did things:

The Pharisees refused to accept the Messiah Jesus Christ; saying things like, “Well, we’ve always done it this way…”

It was believed to be the Lord's dwelling place (Deut 12:14-15). It also played a central role in the early history of Christianity. Jesus’ family came to the temple after His birth for His circumcision and to celebrate the redemption of the firstborn (Exod 13:13, Num 18:15-16). Later, Jesus taught in the temple during one of His family’s Passover pilgrimages (Luke 2:41-48).
It's recorded that the Lord Jesus saw the corrupt practices within His temple and with righteous anger He overturned the money changers’ tables and chased them out with a whip (Mark 11:15). Jesus was participating in the festival (John 2:13) of Passover. The temple and its sacrifices figure prominently in Hebrews 10:1-8. 1-29-20, The massive reunification of Judea and Samaria and Jordan Valley without Muslims agreement: US President Donald J. Trump repeatedly has proven himself unequivocally and with dizzying consistency as an outstanding friend of the Jewish State of Israel; certainly better than any Jew in American party politics. Trump's deal for Israel; the more complex analysis turns on whether it is much more sensible for Israel, decidedly without embracing it, to just sit back and let the “Palestinians” blow it up on their own.
Steps Pres Trump has already taken for the betterment of Israel:
- Recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capitol
- Moved the United States embassy to Jerusalem
- Recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Height
- Declared the Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria as not inherently illegal
- Cut off funding for UNRWA [United Nations] for the Palestinians
- Threw the PLO out of Washington
- Pulled America out of the anti-Jewish United Nations Human Rights Council
- It may even be that the “Deal of the Century” has been concocted to break the impasse by inducing the “Palestinian” leadership to prove what they are, thereby justifying Israel moving ahead with Reunification (“annexation” of Judea & Samaria).
- Once the “Palestinians” outright reject the Trump Plan, there remains no further excuse for Israel to refrain from reunifying the Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria, for once and for all.
- Justification for reunification becomes that the “Palestinians,” once again, “never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.” The door then is opened for the Jews to move forward; brilliant!

- Israel is willing to make territorial sacrifices [again land for peace!]
- Palestinians will have twice the land
- $50 billion dollars offered for future self sustaining Palestinian people – stop charity
- No Jews or Muslims would be removed from their homes
- Calls on the Palestinian Authority to:
- adopt “basic laws” on protecting all human rights
- fight corruption
- stop malign activities of Hamas and Islamic Jihad
- end financial compensation to terrorists
- stop incitement against the Jewish People of Israel
- recognize Israel as the official 'Jewish State'

God's Work of Providence
“Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.”

1-20-20, Henry Morris, PhD -- The 65th Psalm [Psalm 65:1] speaks especially of God’s great work of “providence” as supplementing His primeval work of creation. The latter was completed in the six days of the creation week (Genesis 2:1-3). The work of providence, however, still goes on, perpetually reminding us of God’s care for His creatures. “He left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.” (Acts 14:17)
God’s providential concern, however, extends not only to men and women. “He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle.” (Psalm 104:14) “So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts. . . . These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.” (Psalm 104:25, 27) “Behold the fowls of the air: . . . your heavenly Father feedeth them.” (Matthew 6:26)
Note that He is not their heavenly Father, He is our heavenly Father — yet He feeds them! He is merely their maker and provider; yet a single sparrow “shall not fall on the ground without your Father” (Matthew 10:29).
He even provides for the inanimate creation, “upholding all things by the word of his power” (Hebrews 1:3). The omnipotent God of creation is thus the ever-sustaining and ever-caring God of providence to all His creation.
Still, some choose not to believe, even though “that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen . . . so that they are without excuse.” (Romans 1:19-20) Source

God’s providential concern, however, extends not only to men and women. “He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle.” (Psalm 104:14) “So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts. . . . These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.” (Psalm 104:25, 27) “Behold the fowls of the air: . . . your heavenly Father feedeth them.” (Matthew 6:26)
Note that He is not their heavenly Father, He is our heavenly Father — yet He feeds them! He is merely their maker and provider; yet a single sparrow “shall not fall on the ground without your Father” (Matthew 10:29).
He even provides for the inanimate creation, “upholding all things by the word of his power” (Hebrews 1:3). The omnipotent God of creation is thus the ever-sustaining and ever-caring God of providence to all His creation.
Still, some choose not to believe, even though “that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen . . . so that they are without excuse.” (Romans 1:19-20) Source
