2. Yom Kippur - The name "Yom Kippur" means "Day of Atonement," and that pretty much explains what the holiday is. It's a day set aside to "afflict the soul," to atone for the sins of the past year; probably the most important holiday of the Jewish year.
When God judges, only those who are in Christ can be freed. In its immediate prophetic sense it speaks of Christ being judged as the Messiah of Israel and bearing the penalty for their sin. Ultimately it will find its fulfillment on the Day of Judgment (in scripture referred to as the "Last Day").
Leviticus 16:29-30; 23:27-28 "On that day He shall provide atonement for you to cleanse you from all your sins before the LORD." ... "Also the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the Day of Atonement. It shall be a holy convocation for you; you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. And you shall do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before the Lord your God."

3. THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES [aka Sukkot or Booths] - It occurs on the fifth day after Yom Kippur and lasts for eight days. It is quite a drastic transition, from one of the most solemn holidays to one of the most joyous. Sukkot is unreservedly joyful that it is commonly referred to in Jewish prayer and literature as the Season of our Rejoicing.

New York Muslim Leader Says Current Day Islamic Sharia Dictates Because of Bible - OH?
6-25-17, Gatestone, Ms Nonie Darwish [1] -- Islam leader in New York, Feisal Abdul Rauf trying to blame sharia's amputation and stoning current behaviors on Jewish and Christian Biblical Law. Rauf's article is, to say the least, misleading -- especially regarding the Ten Commandments.
Sharia is not only incompatible with Western legal system, but is the direct opposite of Western values; it has violated all ten of the Ten Commandments; his article said:
"Sharia is not about amputations and stoning. These extreme punishments carry over from earlier, biblical law" and "Within the history of Islam, they have rarely occurred. What Islamic law does prescribe are the same do's [sic] and don'ts of the Ten Commandments."
God's Ten Commands say nothing about amputation! Islam was created 600 years after Christianity not to affirm the Bible, but to discredit it.
