The Revelation of God in Nature

Consider the earth: Its size, mass, distance from the sun and moon, rotational wobble, chemical makeup, etc., are critical within very narrow limits. Any significant deviation in any of these, or other characteristics, would make life impossible.

But inorganic molecules, planets, and galaxies are simpler by several orders of magnitude than even the tiniest living organism. The marvelous genetic code that regulates life, growth, and reproduction is so unthinkably complex, so obviously designed, that it would take a “willingly . . . ignorant” (2 Peter 3:5) mind to conclude a naturalistic origin for it.

Life at every stage and at every level of investigation shows symmetry in its order, purpose in its function, and interdependence between its parts; all of these are clear marks of design by an Intelligent Designer/Creator.

The evidence speaks so eloquently that even “the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse” (Romans 1:20) if they choose not to believe and therefore to merit and face His wrath (v. 18).

Why they seem to know so very little about America or much of anything else? Some thoughts from a guy who spent a career in the racket; ask them if:

- they were in the military or if they know anyone in the armed services
- they have ever talked to a cop or an ambulance crewman or a fireman
- they have a Mexican or blue collar friend
- they have hitchhiked overnight, baited a hook, hunted or fired a rifle
- they have ever worked washing dishes, bagged groceries, drove a delivery truck, hammered a nail, dug a ditch
- they have ever worried about paying their electric bill, had to choose between a new winter coat or paying the cable, or known anyone who did

They are out of touch with real working Americans; now we see why Donald Trump surprised them! How many of the MSM went to fancy schools like Oberlin, Swarthmore, Amherst, the Ivies, Bard. Ask how many even know someone who graduated from a land-grant school. Ask whether they know an engineer, plumber, carpenter or electrician.
They write about each other for each other. Look at the endless coverage of what MSNBC's Rachel Maddow said about what Fox's Sean Hannity thought about Bill O’Reilly’s harassment of soft-porn star Megyn Kelly and how much she might make at CNN. Ask how much time they spend comparing ratings. They are fascinated with themselves as they believe they are so important and interesting.

Ask a journalist if he/she voted for Trump. Close to zero; they are heavily Democrat. Virtually the entire press corps is of one mind and slants the news to the point of verticality. Most don’t even know they're doing it. It’s just that they are so obviously…right. They are not reporters. They are advocates.

Ask them whether they are rich. They will say no, and believe it. Yet when friends drop in, the question will be whether to eat Turkish or Thai restaurant on the Hill where the waiter puts a white napkin in your lap and the bill for four with drinks and tip is $180 is commonplace.

They don’t know America, and they don’t much like it. [..snip]

That’s why the mainstream media is largely vapid and predictable. It is why the internet, not bound by political correctness or controlled by corporations, able to specialize, to serve intelligent readers, is now primary.

Through the centuries, since Satan gained victory over Adam & Eve, believers in Christ have had to overcome bitter opposition from that wicked one. Almost all of the great heroes of the faith have suffered great persecution and many martyrdom.

Instead of resenting our enemies, we should thank God for them, for they enable us to become more like our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Confirming we are His disciple - doing HIS work; what a privilege to be hated as the Lord Jesus was hated. He told us we would be [John 15:18].
