Now does that sound like the liberal media is on top of things, and reporting on the facts? Of course not.

Puerto Rico has materials and people there to help; but the problem is infrastructure and truck drivers. Because roads were destroyed and the truck drivers haven’t checked in after storm they can’t get stuff to people.

9-26-17, Georgia -- Jason Newberry is ten years old and recently during the daily playing of America's National Anthem at Orrs Elementary School, he and one unidentified other classmate stood placing their hands over their hearts while reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. All their classmates remained seated or 'took a knee' as well as the teacher.

Jason said, "Me and him got called KKK, Nazi, and we just kept getting bullied the whole day." And it wasn't until his second period teacher showed them a news clip of NFL players kneeling that he realized the present controversy surrounding the flag. His parents had NOT told him about the NFL outrage.

A spokesperson for Spalding School District wouldn't say if the teacher was disciplined for her comments. However, in a letter sent home to parents the teacher apologized writing the following:

"I apologize for expressing my views to my students.  I recognize that while this was not a one-sided lesson, the topic itself and the expression of my views were not appropriate, my intentions were well-meaning."

“The LORD is my Light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the Strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1

9-29-17, Henry M. Morris III, D.Min [Excerpted*] -- This psalm is a song of joy about God’s marvelous deliverance and may very well demand the broadest application possible. The Lord does provide truth for me as I search His Word—and sometimes clarity and truth just pop into my head and heart when I most need it. That is the primary ministry of the Holy Spirit (John 16:13-15). And who can ignore the favor we receive in our salvation (Ephesians 2:8)?

The “rescue” of the Psalms is often set in terms of a military rescue, but it is also applicable to the eternal rescue from sin that is the ultimate focus of the Word.
God is said to be;
  • the horn of our salvation (Psalm 18:2)
  • a shield (Psalm 18:35)
  • the rock (Psalm 89:26)
  • our strength (Psalm 140:7)
  • as well as my joy (Psalm 51:12)
  • my truth (Psalm 69:13)
These descriptions draw a picture of protection, as does the phrase “strength of my life” in our text.  All of these emphasize the often sudden and unexpected rescue of God’s people from sure defeat at the hands of an enemy.

It is there that David will find the beauty of the Lord and will be able to inquire for the necessary instructions. There in God’s presence will “the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us” (Psalm 90:17), and there will wisdom dispense her “ways of pleasantness” (Proverbs 3:17). The descriptions of God’s dwelling place are often given in military terms. David was a warrior. The New Testament Christian is often challenged to think like a soldier. Therefore, it is certainly fitting that the Scriptures are full of these portraits of protection and deliverance.

She was infected from the flesh eating bacteria when she fell into the Hurricane Harvey flood water breaking her arm when the flesh was broken. Aimee Copeland, the 24-year-old graduate student who has made headlines in her battle with the flesh-eating disease. Doctors told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the cases are not related.  Aimee contracted the infection following a zip-line injury on May 1, HealthPop reported. She is now breathing on her own, but has already had one leg amputated and will likely lose her hands and remaining foot.

According to the National Necrotizing Fasciitis Foundation, the "right" set of conditions need to be present for necrotizing fasciitis to occur. This is when an invasive strain of bacteria, most commonly Strep, comes in direct contact with a cut or opening in the skin. The bacteria's toxins attack the soft tissue and the fascia, a sheath of tissue covering the muscle and can quickly reproduce to kill skin and surrounding tissues. Source

​9-26-17, Henry M. Morris III, D.Min -- The wicked were ready to “eat up” the flesh of David. Whatever may be in view as the setting of this psalm, it surely warns of a pending catastrophic event in David’s life. The use of this poignant phrase in the Old Testament often relates to physical destruction of a people at the hands of a military conqueror (Numbers 24:8; Psalm 53:1-5; Jeremiah 5:15-17).
In the New Testament, however, the emphasis seems to be on spiritual, mental, and character destruction (Galatians 5:15; 1 Corinthians 3:3; 2 Corinthians 12:20).
​The biblical message is consistent. No matter whether the Scriptures record an actual event or they use the examples of history to illustrate a spiritual truth, the results are the same. At the apparent peak of the enemy’s power, the enemies of God “stumbled and fell.”
All godly soldiers should be aware of their own insufficiency. As the conflict is building and the strength of the enemy becomes known, only a foolish braggart assumes that his own resources are enough to bring about victory—especially so when we face the great Adversary and “accuser of the brethren” (Revelation 12:10). Observation that the host is surrounding and war is rising demands that the child of God not casually enter into Kingdom affairs in ignorance of the enemy or of his potential. Rather, David rests “in this [God’s strength] will I be confident.” The bold warrior is bold because he is focused.

9-24-17,Annette -- I received a couple naysaying scoffing messages because of my eager, excitement of the pending rapture and coming of the Lord. That's okay - Jesus told us to watch, pray and seek to save the lost.

In 1976 I was a lost sinner when I first learned about God's free gift of salvation. My husband, John dragged me to church for three months before I accepted the fact I just was not good enough to go to Heaven to be with our perfect Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The message about the rapture of the church took me to the 'promised land' ... I just knew I'd be left behind and my two sons, who were seven and six, would be with the Lord and I wouldn't. I repented of my sin and turned my life over to Him. Hallelujah!

If there are Christians offended and bitter about the speculation messages of the rapture; well, perhaps they are just weak and lukewarm and not really strong believers after all?

Downed swimming pool security fences are a safety hazard!  Six Hundred Eighty Barrier Safety Citations Issued

9-19-17, Florida hurricane Irma victim, Celso Perez was  removing fallen trees blocking his street when a Dade county code enforcer arrived and issued him a citation for having a downed fence. Perez said: "I laughed, I thought he was kidding. You are kidding right? We just had a hurricane six hours ago."
It wasn't a joke. The official told him that the downed swimming pool safety fence was a safety hazard and if it wasn't fixed by the time he returned, Perez would be hit with a fine. The county has handed out 680 safety notices for downed pool barriers, and another 177 electrical hazard safety notices. [Apparently these safety notices are just warnings, meaning no fines have been handed out as of yet.]
Miami-Dade county officials issued the following explanation: "We advise residents of the following hazards on their properties that they may not have been aware of, that pose a life safety threat: damaged structures that rendered them unsafe, unsecured pools with no barriers, electrical hazards (down lines, damaged meters) and gas hazards (damaged meters). If any of these hazards were found, our inspectors gave out a safety notice, which is neither a notice of violation warning nor a citation. That means there is no fine attached."
