Keep Christ in CHRISTMASIsaiah 9:6; 1 John 1:20, 1 Corinthians 15:1
12-16-21, Today I was very disappointed to hear the Salvation Army bell ringers at Walmart proclaim: 'HAPPY HOLIDAYS!' I had a chat with them ... "You are the 'SALVATION ARMY' [1]... Your organization was founded by Christians. Jesus Christ, the Savior was born - it's His birthday we celebrate at Christmas. We do have other holidays Hanukkah and others BUT CHRISTMAS is for Jesus. You should not be saying, happy holidays. You should be saying, 'MERRY CHRISTMAS.' And they did. -- Annette *** [1] The Salvation Army was founded by William Booth, a Methodist minister who began an evangelical ministry in the East End of London in 1865. He established mission stations to feed and house the poor and in 1878 changed the name of his organization to the Salvation Army. The doctrines of the Army include the basic principles common to most Protestant evangelical denominations. William Booth believed that the sacraments of the Roman Catholic church were not necessary for the salvation of the soul - repentance of sin and faith in the Lord Jesus was what is required. Luke 13:3; John 3:16 12-14-21, Throughout the ages the Lord Jesus has been the center of the celebration of Christmas - sadly today in America we hear songs of Rudolph, Santa and Frosty the Snowman. Following are some famous paintings of the 'Nativity' the Birth of the Savior Jesus Christ - Who's birthday we annually celebrate on December 25th. The Roman Catholic Church prays to the Savior Jesus' mother, Mary. This is wrong. 12-14-21, Although she must have been a wonderful godly girl; she needed a Savior like everyone else and she knew it! Surely she would be very sad to know people pray to her. Matthew Henry reports on Mary's visit to her cousin Elizabeth who was pregnant with John the Baptist:
"It is very good for those who have the work of grace begun in their souls, to communicate one to another. On Mary's arrival, Elisabeth was conscious of the approach of her who was to be the mother of the great Redeemer. At the same time she was filled with the Holy Ghost, and under his influence declared that Mary and her expected child were most blessed and happy, as peculiarly honored of and dear to the Most High God. Mary, animated by Elisabeth's address, and being also under the influence of the Holy Ghost, broke out into joy, admiration and gratitude. She knew herself to be a sinner who needed a Savior, and that she could no otherwise rejoice in God than as interested in His salvation through the promised Messiah for all who see their need of Christ and are desirous of righteousness and life in Him." Cargo Ships Stranded, Supply Chain Impediment
Supply chain impediments also have an effect on exports, as unloaded containers are sent without being filled with US goods. Delays in container scheduling result in manufacturers having to wait between four and six weeks before loading their goods onto the ship. Hallelujah! The Savior of the World, |
Psalms 72:11 May all kings fall down before him, all nations serve him! Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 53:3-7 He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth. Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 11:1 There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit. Jeremiah 23:5 Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. Micah 5:2 But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days. Matthew 1:23 Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). Luke 2:7 And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths and laid Him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn. The Visit of the Shepherds Luke 2:15-20 When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them. | Luke 1:39-45 In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a town in Judah, and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit, and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! And why is this granted to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For behold, when the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.” Luke 1:46-55 And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name. And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts; he has brought down the mighty from their thrones and exalted those of humble estate; he has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty. He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his offspring forever.” John 1:9-14 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Galatians 4:4 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law. The Visit of the Wise Men Matthew 2:1-12 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him; and assembling all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet: “‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’” Then Herod summoned the wise men secretly and ascertained from them what time the star had appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search diligently for the child, and when you have found him, bring me word, that I too may come and worship him.” After listening to the king, they went on their way. And behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. And going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh. And being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way. |
Birth of Savior of the World
Announced to Lowly Shepherds
Joseph went up from the city of Nazareth, into Judaea to Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. While they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered; she brought forth her firstborn Son, wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. There were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, "Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger." And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."
Luke 2:4-13; Isaiah 7:10-16; Micah 5:1-6; Matthew 1:18-25 Archives of Reverend Billy Graham: "The first Christmas worship service was conducted not in a temple, a cathedral or a synagogue .... but in the great outdoors. The tidings of Christ's birth echoed in the skies as the angel of the Lord proclaimed the good news to lowly shepherds. And a host of angels sang "Glory to God in the Highest!" | Do you think it strange that this glad word was not first given to priests, scholars or Pharisees? The reason is clear: God speaks to those who are prepared in their hearts to listen. Apparently these humble shepherds were prepared and therefore, able to discern the voice from Heaven above the noisy din of earth' confusion. |
According to Wikipedia and others there are many historical reports of the origins of 'Santa Claus.' Here's one from Holland: The character of Santa Claus has to compete with that of Sinterklaas/Saint Nicolas, Santa's presumed progenitor. Santa Claus is known as de Kerstman in Dutch ("the Christmas man") and Père Noël ("Father Christmas") in French. But for children in the Netherlands Sinterklaas remains the predominant gift-giver in December. | In Belgium, Saint Nicolas/Sinterklaas' assistants are called "Zwarte Pieten" (in Dutch) or "Père Fouettard" (in French), so they are not elves. In Switzerland, Père Fouettard accompanies Père Noël in the French speaking region, while the sinister Schmutzli accompanies Samichlaus in the Swiss German region. Schmutzli carries a twig broom to spank the naughty children. The word 'Noel' means: Birthday It can be traced further back to the Latin word natalis, ... "of or relating to birth" clearly relating to the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. |

The Savior Jesus Christ
***
The world annually celebrates 'CHRISTMAS' - it is the anniversary of the birth of Jesus Christ Who was born of a virgin; and died for our sins ... He was buried and rose again the third day. He was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: He was seen of above five hundred brethren at once.
Isaiah 7:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-6 "A man born in an obscure village as the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in another obscure village. He worked in a carpenter shop until he was thirty and then for three years was an itinerant preacher. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never owned a home. He never had a family. He never went to college. He never put his foot inside a big city. He never traveled two hundred miles from the place where he was born. He never did one of the things that usually accompany greatness. He had no credentials, but Himself. He had nothing to do with this world except the naked power of his divine manhood. While still a young man the tide of popular opinion turned against Him. His friends ran away, one of them denied him, another betrayed him. | He was turned over to His enemies, He went through the mockery of a trial. He willingly was nailed on a cross between two thieves. Matthew 27:38 His executioners gambled for the only piece of property He had on earth while he was dying, and that was his coat. Matthew 27:35 When He was dead, He was taken down and laid in a borrowed grave Matthew 27:57-61. [Because of His great love for mankind He provided the only WAY for all to be saved. Romans 5:8, John 3:16] He arose from death and over five hundred at once saw Him. 1 Corinthians 15:3-6 Many centuries have come and gone and today He is the center of the human race and the leader of the column of progress. I am far within the mark when I say that all the armies that ever marched, and all the navies that were ever built, and all the parliaments that ever sat and all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man upon the earth as powerfully as has this one solitary life; JESUS CHRIST. King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Deuteronomy 10:17; Daniel 2:47; Psalm 136:3; 1 Timothy 6:15 And He will return. John 14:3; Revelation 1:5, 6:2, 19:11-16 |
Mary Knew Her Son, Jesus, Was HER Savior
When Mary went to see her cousin Elizabeth she said:
"My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For He hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For He that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is His name. And His mercy is on them that fear Him from generation to generation. He hath shewed strength with his arm; He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich He hath sent empty away. He hath helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy; As He spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to His seed forever."
Luke 1:47-48, 49-50, 51-52, 53-55 12-22-20, All people have sinned, including the virgin Mary, the mother of the Messiah Jesus. She knew she needed a Savior as she told her cousin Elizabeth in Luke 1:47 All of us have fallen short of the glory of God and death spread to all men [Romans 3:23, 5:12]. Because of God's love He sent His son Jesus to suffer, shed His precious blood for all who would repent [Luke 13:3] come to live for Him. | Important to know that according to scripture that the Lord Jesus’ human family consisted of many half brothers and sisters. His mother Mary; although no one can deny she was an exemplary young virgin girl who the Lord God chose to be the mother of the Savior, can ever be considered ‘immaculate’ as the Roman Catholic Church proclaims. Mary wasn't a perpetual virgin. She and her husband, Joseph had a traditional marriage and Jesus had many brethren: James, Joseph, Simon, Judas [not Iscariot] and at least two sisters. Matthew 13:55; Mark 6:3; Jude 1:1 |

“It is Finished!”
Jesus said, "I have finished the work which You have given Me to do."
As we prepare our celebrations and parties on the birthday of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; let us not forget why He came. His suffering and death was the plan to save us from our sin. Thank You, Lord Jesus.
11-21-19, * -- The death and resurrection from the dead of Jesus Christ is the fulfillment in history of the very mind and intent of God. There is no place for seeing Jesus Christ as a martyr. His death was not something that happened to Him— His life wasn't 'taken' it was given [John 10:11]. His death was the very reason He came.
We should not attempt to build a case for God's forgiveness on the idea that He is our Father and He will forgive us because He loves us. That contradicts the revealed truth of God in Jesus Christ. It makes the Cross unnecessary, and the redemption “much ado about nothing.” God forgives sin only because of the death and shed blood of Christ. God could forgive people in no other way than by our repentance and acceptance trusting Jesus alone for our forgiveness and salvation. The greatest note of triumph ever sounded in the ears of a startled universe was that sounded on the Cross of Christ— “It is finished!” (John 19:30). That is the final word in the redemption of humankind.
Anything that lessens or completely obliterates the holiness of God, through a false view of His love, contradicts the truth of God as revealed by Jesus Christ. Never allow yourself to believe that Jesus Christ stands with us out of pity and compassion, or that He became a curse for us out of sympathy.
Jesus Christ became a curse for us by divine decree. Our part in realizing the tremendous meaning of His curse is the conviction of sin. Conviction is given to us as a gift of shame and repentance; it is the great mercy of God. Jesus Christ hates the sin in people, and the cross [tree, Acts 5:30] of Calvary is the measure of His hatred.

What better symbol of the task Jesus was born to do than the nails that hung Him on that tree?

WAR ON CHRISTMAS
In latter days will be scoffers and scorners who blaspheme Christ
‘The War on Christmas’ in America is ‘A War on Christ’
The last few decades in America have witnessed an increased hostility towards “the sacred nature of Christmas,” a stripping away of religious references in the public square that is “at its root and core” a “war on Christ and His Followers.” This was especially true under Barack Obama's leadership; thankfully President Trump has been turning the nation back to our Christian heritage; we can say 'MERRY CHRISTMAS!' again.
The late Reverend Billy Graham said, “The war on Christmas is a war on Christ - a “hatred” against a culture that celebrates the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh as a baby 2,000 years ago, and anticipates his second coming when, as a “conquering King,” He will “cast Satan and unbelievers into an eternal lake of fire.”
In a past 2014 issue of Decision magazine it reported that: “Stores, schools and communities across America continue to find new and intolerant reasons to remove any religious references to Christmas, stripping it of any holy or historical significance. Christian songs, prayers and other spiritually vital connections to the Lord Jesus Christ are deleted or diminished.” Examples:
- in Ramsey County, Minn. a courthouse “banned red poinsettias because someone deemed them a ‘Christian symbol
- in Pittsburgh PA the Christmas holidays are referred to “as ‘Sparkle Days,’ in an ironic attempt at avoiding offense.”
- In Georgia a Veteran's Administration hospital banned “religious Christmas songs in public areas.”
Between the time that Jesus came as a baby and His second coming are “the last days,” as the Apostle Paul wrote, the last days will be marked by “pride, brutality, treachery and heartlessness.”
Billy Graham said: “We should not be taken aback, then, when a day that should be devoted to meditating upon the marvelous, virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ is instead treated in a scandalously secular way that denies His deity and saving work. The Name of Christ is an offense to the unbelieving world. The mention of Jesus Christ's birth, or life, or death and resurrection, is an insult to them. The world, the flesh and the Devil all hate the mere mention of His glorious Name. They are mortal enemies of the Savior. The world system is enthralled with power and greed, and it wants no part of the Messiah’s absolute authority.”
That rebellion against God is animated by the Devil, the demon who, “knowing that his time to roam on Earth is short and that he will one day be cast into the lake of fire, he opposes Christ at every turn. He and his demons will help gather all the nations into a great last-ditch rebellion against the King of kings before he is defeated.”
Until that happens, however, “we should expect stiff, relentless opposition to the Gospel message from our culture.”
He added that the brutal persecution of Christians in other countries may be “far into the future for us” in the United States, but we cannot expect “that it will not intensify and heighten.”
"There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not receive My words: The word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day." John 12:48

Warren has been less specific, but she told J Street that if Israel proceeds with moves to annex parts of the West Bank, the United States “should make it clear that none of our aid should be used to support annexation.” |

#5 Timing of Jesus Birth
“When the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. Thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” – Apostle Paul
12-24-18, The Messiah, King Jesus Christ was born during the height of the Roman Empire. Unlike previous empires, the Romans built roads from one end of its vast territory to the other. This made spreading the good news of salvation throughout the civilized world happen in only a few decades; it couldn't have been done if the Lord Jesus had come earlier.
Do you think it strange that the first Christmas was not proclaimed to the high and mighty leaders of the world? God’s reason is clear that He speaks to those who are prepared to listen. One glaring point ... it wasn't winter; the shepherds wouldn't have been watching their sheep in winter. Although the Bible doesn’t give an exact date (day, month and year); the date of His birth is not needed for salvation [Luke 13:3; Galatians 5:24; 2 Timothy 3:15]. For those devout born again believers who refuse to celebrate the traditional ‘Christmas’ because the date may be incorrect … I feel sorry for them. We want to celebrate the Lord’s birth and any date is a good date.

Mary Knew Her Son, Jesus, Was HER Savior
Mary said, "My soul doth magnify the Lord,
And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior."
12-22-18, The Holy Bible clearly states that all men have sinned, including the virgin Mary, the mother of the Messiah and Lord Jesus Christ. All of us have fallen short of the glory of God [Romans 3:23] and death spread to all men [Romans 5:12]. Jesus came to save us from our sin and when Mary went to see her cousin Elizabeth, she said:
"My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. He hath helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy; As He spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to His seed forever." Luke 1:47-48, 49-50, 51-52, 53-55
Scriptures categorically state that the Lord Jesus’ human family consisted of many children. His mother, Mary can never be considered ‘immaculate’ as the Roman Catholic Church proclaims her a perpetual virgin. Mary & Joseph's children; Jesus’ half brethren: James, Joseph, Simon, Judas [not Iscariot] and at least two unnamed sisters. Matthew 13:55; Mark 6:3; Jude 1:1
