3-15-18, Seven percent of Kelly’s DNA is not mutated after his year in space, which makes sense if you keep in mind that humans and chimps have genetic sequences that differ by less than 2 percent, and individual humans—even completely unrelated strangers—differ by about 0.1 percent.
Here’s how this works. Genetic sequences are like strings of letters arranged just so, and they are in charge of producing proteins. Mutate the wrong letter, or sequence of letters, and it can be mildly annoying, like our favorite ducking autocorrect, or it can be extremely bad news, like the mutations that allow tumors to proliferate. Most mutations, however, go unnoticed (the one that confer superpowers are a different story).
Expression levels, on the other hand, reflect whether genes are turned on or turned off. Within each of us, most of our cells are otherwise genetically identical, but their genes are expressed at different levels. 3-15-18, Greg Laurie* -- Sometimes people wonder whether those in Heaven know what is taking place on earth. Some would say no. But I beg to differ. I think Heaven is aware of what happens on earth.
However, I don't think our loved ones are sitting in Heaven, watching everything we do. But I do think there is an awareness of what is going on. Scriptures tell us when someone comes to faith in Christ and they repent of their sins, there is rejoicing in Heaven (Luke 15:10). Whenever there is a sinner is born again on earth, there is a party in Heaven. Jesus cares. Luke 15:5-6
Hebrews 12:2 "for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
What was that joy? It was us. We were the joy. We were the prize. We were the treasure. We were the goal He went after and laid it all down for. Even while we were sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

3-15-18, Rocklin High School, Sacratmento, California teacher, Ms Julianne Benzel said all she did was have a conversation with her class about the “politics of protest” — a lesson ahead of yesterday’s school walkouts. The school placed her on leave. “I just kind of used the example which I know it’s really controversial, but I know it was the best example I thought of at the time—a group of students nationwide, or even locally, decided ‘I want to walk out of school for 17 minutes’ and go in the quad area and protest abortion, would that be allowed by our administration?” She insists she “never discouraged her students from participating” in the anti gun demonstration, but considered the propriety of a (public) school supporting some protests … but not others.
American public schools shouldn't pick and choose the ideology of the student protests in which they're allowed to engage. If a demonstration about gun violence and the Second Amendment is acceptable to administrators, then a pro-life anti abortion killing walkout should be deemed same. Every person has his own “god”; even atheists order their lives by some principle of their own choosing that thus becomes in effect their “god”! There are multitudes of others who follow various other gods. For example, the Hindus have almost innumerable gods. Muslims, on the other hand, strongly argue for just one god, whom they call Allah, but it was not Allah who “made the heavens.” The truth revealed in the Bible is that it was God’s “dear Son” by whom “were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth” (Colossians 1:13, 16). Allah denies that he even has a Son, and he calls those who believe otherwise (meaning Christians) infidels. The Koran is alleged to consist of the verbally inspired words of Allah, but it (and therefore Allah) also denies the Trinity, as well as the death and resurrection of Christ, and so also denies that the Son of God provides salvation for all who believe on Him. That is more than enough to prove that Allah is not the God of the Bible.
In our text above, the word “idols” simply means “vanities.” It is all “in vain” to put one’s faith for eternity in a false god. The Lord Jesus alone, having created all things and paid the awful price to redeem all things, can truly provide eternal salvation. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). He Himself verified that “I am the way, . . . no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).

"How Much Longer Lord?"
3-12-18, * -- Most of us ask God, “How much longer will this current world-gone-mad continue?“ It feels like we are at the end, but then days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months and months into years. What if 2018 comes and goes and we’re still here? All the while, the world continues in its never-ending speed crushing and grinding down everything good and decent. It feels like the insane were given the keys to the “bus” and are hell-bent on driving us off a cliff. If you have ever had any of these thoughts, you're not alone. The answer to these questions are summed up in two key thoughts:
The question will not go away. How much longer? It nags at us. It hounds us. For those who are watching and waiting for His return, it consumes us; as it should. 9-Year-Old Hero, Malachi Rescues Elderly
Mr Clemmons When Car Falls On Him
3-13-18, Allen Clemmons, was working on his Mustang convertible in his backyard. The car was on blocks and he was under the vehicle. Suddenly, the Mustang slid off its supports and fell on top of him. He was under the car about 2 hrs and prayed to God to send an angel. With broken ribs and pelvic he was able to holler one more time ... 9 yr old Malachi heard him and came to his rescue. He said his uncle taught him how to use a jack to lift the car off Mr. Clemmons. Malachi then ran to his aunt's to call 911.
Mr Clemmons is doing well and expected to fully recover. He said: "I don’t think I would have survived another 30 minutes. It was getting really hard to breathe.” As for Malachi, he sent his wishes that Mr Clemmons gets well soon and hopes to visit him in the hospital. More here

All we have to do to see where things stand is turn on the big three television networks in prime time. Sexual innuendo, violence, crime, gunplay is about all you see unless you are watching reality programs that also promote deceit, sexual immorality, coarse humor and human turmoil.
You see, we live in a society that has become very dark.
However, what did Christ say about our responsibility as His disciples?
He said in Matthew 5:13-16, "You are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Also Ephesians 5:1, 8-10
In quoting these scriptures, I want you to see that although the heart is wicked and the world is a dark and evil place, light overcomes darkness. Your heart, words and actions are examples for others to have a change of heart, to accept the gift of salvation. In a sense, we are the warriors of heart to heart combat that others might have eternal life and also become a light unto the world.
