Ms Reese's Home was gone except for her prayer closet ... 3-26-19, Fox News -- A deadly F4 tornado ravaged parts of southeast Alabama earlier this month, but Beauregard, the community hit hardest by the storm, has a miraculous survival story. Chaplains deployed as part of a Billy Graham Rapid Response Team went to Alabama after the recent horrific tornado. They saw grandma "Momma" 'Ms Reese' home - what was left - the slab and one closet was still standing. The grand-daughters of Ms Reese told of how their grandmother used that closet as her "prayer closet." President Trump and first lady Melania Trump visited a row of 23 crosses – representing each life taken by the tornado – and observed a moment of silence alongside survivors and first responders. More here In 1876 Alexander Graham Bell demonstrated several experimental telephones at the Philadelphia Centennial Exposition. It was a single electro-magnet and could be used both as transmitter and receiver. Bell approached the problem of transmitting speech differently from other telephone inventors like Elisha Gray and Thomas Edison. They were mostly experienced telegraphers trying to make a better telegraph. Bell's study of hearing and speech more strongly influenced his work. There were more than 14 million telephones in the United States by the time Alexander Graham Bell died; on that day for one minute on August 4, 1922, they were all silent.
