3-20-20, Redstate.com -- Democrats on both sides of Capitol Hill are pushing to add climate change provisions to the third aid package for people and industries affected by the novel coronavirus pandemic. Never letting a crisis go to waste seems to be the motto Democrats now live by. The latest example comes in regard to the current negotiations over the next phase of relief in dealing with the Wuhan virus. With the initial round of spending passed, the next phase is too include checks to Americans and loans to businesses in order to get them through this hard time. Some Democrats are looking to push their unrelated policy goals into the process like money for abortion clinics, illegal migrants and museums. The USA is already cash strapped; any taxpayer money spent needs to go to businesses that have actually proven to be sustainable. The last thing the U.S. needs to be spending on is more Solyndra-type boondoggles, where “green” start-ups take taxpayer money and promptly blow it. 4-10-20, * -- The Passover feast day coincides with the final days of the Lord Jesus Christ, His crucifixion and resurrection [commonly called 'Easter']. It is the picture of Christ being the true Passover Lamb [John 1:29], the sacrifice that liberates all repentant mankind from sin [Luke 13:5], as did God free the Israelites from the bondage in Egypt. Christ entered Jerusalem [John 12:13-14] on the 10th of Nisan, which is the day that the devoted Jews were choosing their Passover lambs. This is referenced in Matthew 21:9 where the great multitude spread their garments and branches on the way saying, "Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest." 
 
Jesus went to the temple and angrily overturned the money changers' tables, [Mark 11:15] His authority was questioned by the religious leaders, and He gave the great commandments, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind...and the second one is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." The Lord Jesus stated to His disciples in Matthew 26:2, "Ye know that after two days is the feast of the Passover and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified." He then held an early Seder in which he spoke of the wine as His blood and the bread as His body. 
 
The events of the evening followed where Christ was taken in the garden, brought before the priests who sought a false witness to put Him to death, but as Matthew 26:60 says, "But found none." He was taken before Pilate who also could find no fault in Him, but allowed the people to decide if He should be crucified. These events follow the examination of the Passover Lamb Who had no blemish. [Exodus 12:5; Leviticus 22:20-21]

The crucifixion of Christ took place as the Passover [John 11:55] lambs were being sacrificed in the Jerusalem temple. The Hebrew calendar starts its days from sundown to sundown, making its timing far different than the Gregorian calendar that we follow in both the day of the week, and when the weekends/beginnings occur to the Gregorian calendar.
 
The Pesach sacrifice (sacrifice of the Passover lambs) needed to be completed before sundown on Nisan 14 (which is Wednesday on the Hebrew calendar this year). The Messiah was nailed to the cross, suffered, and died before sundown on Nisan 14 [Wednesday, Matthew 27:50].
 
As the Passover lambs were being sacrificed, Christ was crucified. He was buried on Nissan 14 before the beginning of Shabbat and the Passover Feast. He remained in the grave until sometime after sundown (end of Nissan 16), the beginning of Nissan 17 and the dawn of the first day of the week, Sunday. "In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher." Matthew 28:1

The police in Greenville, MS went to Temple Baptist Church this evening and gave everyone there a ticket for $500 because they had a drive in Christian church service. Everyone was in their cars with the windows up listening to pastor Arthur Scott preached on the radio.

Police issued citations to everyone in the twenty-five cars ... the order was given to 'make an example of em!' What is harmful about people being in their cars listening to preaching with their windows up?

4-7-20, Henry Morris, PhD -- In this day of Madison Avenue sales pressures and an ever-increasing array of technological gadgets and creature comforts, the Christian virtue of contentment is a rare commodity. There is even a widespread error among born-again Christians [John 3:3, 7] that material prosperity is a token of spirituality and divine approval on an affluent lifestyle called 'prosperity gospel'. [2 Timothy 6:10]

Instead of a blessing, however, such affluence (if it comes) should be regarded as a testing, for Jesus said: “Unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required.” (Luke 12:48)

Paul was perhaps the most faithful and fruitful Christian who ever lived, yet he died [2 Timothy 4:6–8] penniless in a Roman dungeon. His own testimony concerning material possessions and standards of living was this: “I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.” (Philippians 4:11-12)

In the context of our key verse above, the apostle Paul actually warned young pastor Timothy against the influence of those who suppose, among other things, “that gain is godliness,” and who think that their material prosperity is proof of their spiritual prosperity. “From such” says Paul, “withdraw thyself” (1 Timothy 6:5).

Material gain - in no way - either produces or denotes godliness; rather, godliness itself is the gain, if accompanied by contentment in Christ (otherwise, of course, it is not true godliness)! Even the most impoverished believer can acquire riches in heaven, where it really counts; so in the meantime:

“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

4-9-20,* -- On a daily basis for weeks former NYTimes reporter and Yale grad, Alex Berenson has been analyzing the data on the Covid-19 virus crisis and has come to the conclusion that the strategy of shutting down entire sectors of America and economy is based on modeling that doesn’t line up with the realities of the virus. People who are aged, who have multiple and very serious long-term health problems, who have been treated for years with toxic drugs---these people die of those factors.  There is no need for a purportedly new virus to explain why they're dying.

The absolute fraud and crime involved here are enormous.  The perpetrators, in their bubble of reputation, wall-to-wall false science and media robots are pushing this hoax.

Dachshunds: Weiner Dogs What's Good and Bad About 'Em
Dachshunds aka 'Weiner dogs' are curious, lively and brave. They're similar to a terrier. This comical clown loves to play games and has a great sense of humor. He is a loyal little dog, very attached to his family, and he firmly believes that sleeping under the bedcovers is in the Dachshund Bill of Rights. They're usually good with other family pets, though they can be jealous when they want attention and they can be possessive of their toys.  It's a great house dog, he does need his daily walks (on-leash! Dachshunds are chasers who will take off! Loneliness will lead to excessive barking. Dachshunds are alert watchdogs who do not take kindly to strangers intruding on their domain. Though bright and clever, Dachshunds like to do things their own way. In other words, they're stubborn.

In joining Netanyahu as deputy Prime Minister or Defense or Foreign Minister, he will be able to accumulate needed experience and build relationships under the tutelage of Bibi Netanyahu.
 
As co-leader with Netanyahu in a government under the coronavirus emergency, Gantz will gain necessary exposure and credibility as a partner in defeating the virus. This would clearly mark him as the rightful successor to Netanyahu. Under the Netanyahu-Gantz rotation agreement, Netanyahu will serve as prime minister until September, 2021 when Gantz will take over as prime minister. While the two sides agree on the rotation, there are still unresolved issues in the allocation of different authorities and departments within the Israeli government.
 
Apparently the corona virus has accomplished what three elections were unable to do. Gantz concluded correctly that the health and safety of the nation trumps political ideology and personal ambitions; Gantz made the right decision for his political future and the future of the Israeli people. More here 

Supermoon: A Sign of New Governments
Rabbi Yosef Berger noted the political significance of the supermoon falling on Purim, Passover and Rosh Hashanna - he said: “Every kingdom rises and falls and eventually disappears. Only Israel and the Davidic dynasty is eternal. That is because other kingdoms grab power by virtue of their strength. The moon, kingship, does not have a strength of its own [reflects light from the Sun]. Like the moon, kings must reflect the glory of the sun, of Hashem (God; literally the name. The only king who did this was King David. And so the Davidic dynasty is eternal, like the glory of God it channels into the world. Purim is where we see the glory of God brought into the world and overcoming an earthly king and the political forces that acted against the Jews. Pesach (Passover) was when Hashem [the Lord God] brought the Jews out of Egypt. He did so to have the world see that He was our one true King. Rosh Hashanna is when the Jews declare that Hashem is King. We know from the Talmud [1] that the Redemption will come in the months of Adar and Nissan, that is to say, the months of Purim and Pesach. A supermoon on all these holidays means that the Davidic dynasty is about to return.” 

The City of Shushan (And Many Other Capitols) Become Confused

In 465 BC Persia [aka Iran] it's interesting to note that after King Ahasuerus sent out the decree to kill the Jews, the city of Purim became “dumbfounded” so he sent written instructions to all the king’s provinces to destroy, massacre and exterminate all the Yehudim [Hebrews], young and old[ Esther 3:13]. 

This Shushan Purim supermoon comes at a time in the modern world of 2020 when several nations are facing political confusion and upheaval:

1. ​Israel just completed a third-round election that, through a remarkable and entirely un-anticipatable series of events, should have been scheduled for Purim. Since it is a national holiday, the elections were advanced one week earlier. Perhaps due to their roots in a holiday whose very nature implies confusion, the elections produced ambiguous results. According to most experts, neither Netanyahu nor his opponent, Benny Gantz, will be able to succeed in forming a coalition.
2. The U.S. is currently going through primary campaigns in which the Democrats are most probably going to run their convention without any clear winner to be chosen as the most popular delegate.
3. Many nations, including the USA, UK, Germany, China, Iran and even the Vatican, are being confused and challenged by the coronavirus.
4. Modern Day Iran [aka Persia] and the Tomb of Jewish Queen Esther and Mordechai
   Queen Esther is the iconic and legendary character of the Purim story. Her tomb, and that of the other hero of the story, Morchechai, lies in the Iranian city of Hamadan. Today in 2020 the Iranian Jews are known as the children of Esther; recently in an extremely Purim-like case of confusing the villain and the righteous hero, the Iranian government threatened to demolish the Tomb of Mordechai and Esther and convert the site into an Islamic anti-Jew Palestinian consular complex.​

The Jewish Sages teach that once Moshiach (Messiah) arrives [they don't accept that Jesus Christ is their Messiah and He already came Matthew 23:37; 1 John 2:22], none of the Biblical festivals will be celebrated any longer except for Purim which is referred to as the “hidden holiday” since neither God’s name nor His intervention appears in the story of Purim. The name of Queen Esther, literally means hidden, Rabbi Pinchas Winston, a prolific end-of-days author, explains that the distinctive light of Purim, which is embodied in the ability to recognize God even when He is hidden, will never be extinguished.

– ICU beds needed: 33,176
– Invasive ventilators: 26,544

The actual numbers as recorded at The Covid Tracking Project April 7, 2020, Via Dr. Ned Nikolov reports:
– Overestimation of hospitalizations: 8 times - actual hospitalizations: 22,158
– Overestimation of of ICU beds needed: 6.4 times - in ICU: 5,207

After Monday, 4/6/20 reports that the hugely flawed hospitalization and ICU predictions on the tracking website — “The Covid Tracking Project” — they removed ALL of their national hospitalization and ICU numbers. 4-7-20, * -- In history, 567 years ago the Islamic Ottoman army from Turkey in 1453 AD invaded and took the Christian city of Constantinople [today Istanbul Turkey]. The Turks and Roman Christian “Byzantines” had preexisting peace treaties – regardless the Islamic hordes waged jihad [war] demanding - then as now … convert to Islam or die.  Led by Muslim Sultan Mehmet, or Muhammad II (1451-1481 AD) ** who was the mortal enemy of all Christians. The city had roughly seven thousand defenders, but they helplessly watched as appx one hundred thousand jihadi Muslims and one hundred Ottoman warships made their way to and surrounded it by land and sea.

His reign culminating in the Islamic Ottoman siege of a Muslim army numbering appx 10 times theirs and died in the ensuing fighting, May 29, 1453 AD. Following his death, he became a legendary figure in Greek folklore as the Marmaromenos Vasilias, the "Marble Emperor" who would awaken and recover the Empire and Constantinople from the Ottomans.

His death marked the end of the Roman Empire East as the Byzantine Empire for 977 years after the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476. The Empire had begun with the reign of Augustus in 27 BC, previously 1,479 years. More here

4-6-20, Archives of Oswald Chambers --Never associate the idea of martyrdom with the 'Cross of Christ.' He gave up His life on that cross and is the revealed truth of God’s judgment on sin. It was the supreme triumph, and it shook the very foundations of hell. There is nothing in time or eternity more absolutely certain and irrefutable than what Jesus Christ accomplished on the cross— He made it possible for the entire human race to be brought back into a right-standing relationship with God. He made redemption the foundation of human life; that is, He made a way for every person to have fellowship with God. "Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin." Hebrews 9:22 Almighty God required a perfect 'lamb' for the forgiveness of sin; only the Lord God Himself can be that 'lamb.'

The cross was not something that happened to Jesus— He willingly came to die; the Cross and shedding His precious blood was His purpose in coming. He is “the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” (Revelation 13:8). The incarnation of Christ would have no meaning without the Cross. Beware of separating “God was manifested in the flesh…” from “…He made Him…to be sin for us…” (1 Timothy 3:16 ; 2 Corinthians 5:21). The purpose of the incarnation was redemption. God came in the flesh to take sin away, not to accomplish something for Himself. The Cross is the central event in time and eternity, and the answer to all the problems of both.

The cross can never be fully comprehended through human experience. Jesus suffering on that cross is the gate through which any and every repentant individual who turns their lives to the Lord Jesus can enter into oneness with God. The Cross was the place where God and sinful man merged with a tremendous collision and where the way to life was opened; but all the cost and pain of the collision was absorbed by the heart of God. How Low Can Oil Go? One Forecast Sees $5 a Barrel
3-19-20, Bloomberg --Oil traders struggling to navigate one of the biggest oil crashes in history say the worst is yet to come. Even after plunging about 60% this year to the lowest since 2003. Eighteen of 20 oil and products traders recently surveyed see Brent falling to $20 a barrel or lower, with West Texas Intermediate seen $3 to $5 below that.

The Holy Bible Old Testament admonitions toward the wickedness of Israel; sure sounds like the Prophets Jeremiah and Samuel are speaking about the depraved world of 2020. Who can deny that the horrors we now suffer were brought on by the behaviors and blaspheming we commonly see in America and the entire world today? 

1662-1714 AD, Matthew Henry --  Those who expect to receive comforts from God, must obey and call upon Him. Promises are given, not to do away, but to quicken and encourage prayer. These promises lead us to the gospel of Christ; and in that God has revealed truth to direct us. All who by repentance, sanctifying grace are cleansed from the filth of sin, by pardoning mercy are freed from the guilt. When sinners are thus justified, washed, sanctified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Holy Spirit; they are enabled to walk before God in peace and purity.

Many are led to perceive the real difference between the people of God and the world around them, and to fear the Divine wrath. It is promised that the people who were long in sorrow, shall again be filled with joy if they again return to the good graces of the Almighty. Where the Lord gives righteousness and peace, He will give all needful supplies for temporal wants; and all we have will be comforts, as sanctified by the word and by prayer.
