11-4-22, This prophecy in Jeremiah reports that the Lord God said to publish the fall of Babylon. When we shall see the fulfillment of God's threatening powers. When we see what this glittering world is and how flattering its proposals, let us read in the book the truth of the Lord that it shall shortly be desolate. The fall of the New Testament "Babylon" is also represented in Revelation 18:21. Those who sink under the weight of God's wrath and curse - sink forever.
Babylon and every antichrist [1 John 2:18] will soon sink rising no more. We born again believers [John 3:3, 7] in Christ Jesus can quietly wait for His salvation; when we may see, but shall not share - in the destruction of the wicked. Even so please come, Lord Jesus.
