 God clearly - with no doubt - blessed Abraham and his wife, Sarah to be the patriarchal fore parents of the Jewish people and their covenant land. It was definitely promised that Abram’s heir would be Sarah’s own son, Isaac. The child of the Egyptian maid, Hagar, was Ishmael who is the patriarch of the Islamic nations - but not of the Jewish land of Israel. The many woes of Israel surely involves the Jews rejection of their Messiah, Jesus Christ.
