Scripture for Today, 5-20-22: Greatest Miracle? 'JESUS!'

How is it that the Lord Jesus is both God and man at the same time? The following scriptures should convince you that Jesus is not half-human and half-devine … HE IS WHOLLY DIVINE AND WHOLLY HUMAN following are substantiating scriptures: 

Jesus is truly God:

1. Jesus claimed the divine name He said: ‘before Abraham was born, I am!’ (John 8:58, 20:28; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 1:8)
2. Jesus said: “Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe.” (John 17:21)
3. He did things that only God can do. (Mark 2:1–12; Luke 7:48–50)
4. He never abrogated His divine nature. (Luke 6:5, 8)
5. “there is one God, the Father, from Whom are all things and for Whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through Whom are all things and through Whom we exist.” (1  Corinthians 8:6)
6. “To those who have obtained a faith of equal standing with ours by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 1:1)
7.  “For in Him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily. and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.“ (Colossians 2:9-10)
8. “For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:5)
9. Jesus has 'God's finger' Luke 11:20

Jesus truly human:

1. “Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:" (1 John 4:2–3; Romans 1:2-4)
2. Jesus also displayed the weaknesses and vulnerabilities common to humanity. (Luke 19:41; John 19:28)
3. Jesus is the second Person of the Trinity taking on human flesh. (Luke 1:35; Hebrews 1:5)
4. The apostle Paul wrote, “For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:5)
5. God the Son became a man. (John 1:1, 14)
6. He had to be both God & man.  “He had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that He might make atonement for the sins of the people.” (Hebrews 2:17) 
   
7. The Son of God took on human flesh to provide redemption to those under the law. (Galatians 4:4–5)

Only God can be worshiped; the Lord Jesus was worshiped. During the time of King Herod, when Jesus was born, the Magi came asking: “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We have come to worship Him.” Matthew 2:1-2
And others when He was worshipped here:
​Matthew 2:11, 9:18, 14:33, 28:9; John 9:38; Luke 24:52; Titus 2:8; Philippians 2:10

The Savior Jesus Christ is THE BIGGEST GREATEST miracle of almighty God that He is Theanthropos, the God-man. He is one eternally divine Person who will forever possess two distinct yet inseparable natures: one divine and one human. Praise His holy name!
