United Airlines Passengers Stuck On Goose Bay Airport Tarmac for SIXTEEN HOURS!
1-20-19, Goose Bay Airport Tarmac weather minus 22 degrees F ... For 16 Hours
United Flight 179 from Newark, N.J., to Hong Kong was diverted to the Goose Bay Airport Saturday night after a passenger experienced a medical emergency... the passenger was removed from the plane and taken to hospital. Then the plane's door wouldn't shut - frozen apparently - preventing the aircraft from taking off. After sitting in freezing airplane for 16 hours - the passengers ended back in New Jersey!

United Airlines Flight UA179 took off from New York on Saturday afternoon bound for Hong Kong but... They spent sixteen hours freezing going nowhere. United officials greeted the passengers upon their arrival BACK in Newark, NEW JERSEY WHERE THEY STARTED FROM 24 hours earlier. A United official said passengers will be provided with compensation for their inconvenience. "We absolutely understand the frustration. It is a very unique situation,The airport they landed in was just not equipped to handle everyone that was coming in. Compensation will include refunds and vouchers — after their ordeal." [Status of sick passenger unknown.]
