Jewish State of Israel Although Army Out Numbered Also Aircraft - God Provided A Miraculous Victory6-12-19, Front Page Mag* -- Fifty second year anniversary of Israel’s miraculous six day war. It began when Egyptian dictator Gamal Abdul Nasser, made bellicose statements threatening to destroy the Jewish state of Israel and his actions included closing of the Straits of Tiran to Israeli navigation, making Israeli trade from Eilat to Asia and the Far East nearly impossible. Israel’s relatively small air force of 200 serviceable jet-fighters faced a huge Arab air force about four times its size. However on June 5, 1967 Israeli planes launched a preemptive strike, destroying Egypt's air force runway and most of the Egyptian air force on the ground. Israel lost 19 planes. [..snip] Under a signed treaty in Cairo King Hussein of Jordan was compelled to turn his territory and his army over to an Egyptian commander. They opened fire on West Jerusalem simultaneously lobbing artillery shells into Israel’s airbase. Miraculously the IAF soon silenced the artillery, and within days, the Old City of Jerusalem, the Temple Mount and the Western Wall were in Israeli hands. By June 7, Judea and Samaria [aka West Bank] was captured; Israel’s paratroopers had again possessed the Old City and the Western Wall and Temple Mount. On June 9-10, 1967 IAF jets neutralized the Syrian air force, pummeled its entrenched bunkers capturing the entire Golan Heights. A cease-fire was declared and all fighting stopped. However, Israel returned control of the Jewish Temple Mount to Jordan and the Muslims. The many Israeli soldiers hitchhiking their way home encountered mothers and daughters showered them with baskets of fruit and candy. It was reminiscent of the scenes in New York, London and Paris when WWII ended in Europe on May 8, 1945. *Excerpted and adapted full original report here and here Israel Relinquished Temple Mount
Moshe Dayan served as Israeli defense minister during the Six-Day War [June 1967] and the thrilling liberation of the Western Wall and the Temple Mount has been documented in dozens of publications. “The Temple Mount is in our hands!” was the cry in the Jewish state of Israel. However, Moshe Dayan, watching the Israeli flag rising above the Muslim ‘Dome of the Rock’ through binoculars from Mount Scopus, urgently radioed demanding: "Do you want to set the Middle East on fire? Remove the flag!" It was an astonishing moment of religious restraint. The Jewish people had just returned to its holiest site, from which it had been denied access for centuries, only to effectively yield sovereignty at its moment of triumph was turned over to the Muslims. Jews were barred from even praying at the site. There was concession with no cabinet meeting authorizing Dayan’s move. He simply took advantage of his popularity within the Israeli public to manage Israel’s most sensitive religious problem—an arrangement that has persisted ever since. 7-8-21-21, Israel has only 8000 square miles of land - the Muslims have 5 million. Yet, they also want the Jews land. Of all the nations of the world, the Lord chose the descendants of Jacob [Jews], not Ishmael [Muslims], to be His covenant people - the descendants of Abraham and wife Sarah. (Genesis 17:19-21; Malachi 1:1–5).
