4-17-19, CBS — The Kensington community in Philadelphia objected to Mayor Jim Kenney's proposed safe opioid injection site in their neighborhood. The location was chosen and a lease established at $1 a year, but after meeting with concerned residents in Kensington, the mayor halted the plan. Kenney's statement: “Valid public safety concerns ... I have informed Safehouse that safety concerns must be addressed before the establishment of an OPS (overdose prevention site).”

In Luke 13:32 the Greek word ‘fox’ was eminently descriptive of the character King Herod; is always used as feminine, giving indignant force to the Lord’s words. The Pharisees desired to draw Jesus to Jerusalem, where they would have Him in their power more completely than in the northern district. Jesus answer was in effect saying: ‘My time is not to be settled by Herod. It is definite and it's short. It's needless for Herod to trouble himself; for in three days it will be all over. It's useless for you Pharisees to plot, for until the appointed days are past it will not be over, whatever you and he try to do.’
 
In Jesus' last journey the course He had yet to run was plain before Him, every step was taken with the cross in full view. What beauty Christ’s comments give showing His love, sympathy, sorrow and willingness to die for mankind’s sin!  He said, “The third day I shall be perfected.”

Some may question the meaning of Christ’s words of ‘perfecting.’  It was His work of the Father’s design and of His own mission … it was His shed blood and death; the sacrifice for the sins of the world and His resurrection. For Him to ‘perish’ was to ‘be perfected.’
 
Nothing fastened the Lord of Glory to that cross, but His resolve to save the world. Oh, brethren! shall we be moved to give ourselves to Him who gave Himself for us? It is good for us to look upon the time we have before us - as but little - that we may be quickened to do the work of the day in its day ‘that we may save some.’ Romans 11:14; 1 Corinthians 9:23

"I'll be rolling into town early. Police expect rallygoers to start lining up Sunday night, despite freezing temperatures. Authorities are setting up two medical tents in the area in case of injuries.
The hoopla is focused on promises by Northam to enact sweeping gun control this year, including limiting handgun purchases to one per month, banning assault weapons and silencers, allowing localities to ban guns in public spaces and enacting a “red flag” law so authorities can temporarily seize weapons from someone deemed a threat.
Democrats across Virginia ran on the promise of gun control in last year’s legislative elections, winning majorities in both the House of Delegates and state Senate for the first time in a generation. That gives them the power to act - and has inspired outrage from SECOND AMENDMENT SUPPORTERS.

1-18-20, Henry Morris, PhD -- Only God can create, and whenever this verb (Hebrew bara) is used in the Bible, the subject of the verb, either explicitly or implicitly, is God! However, certain “progressive creationists” contend that “creation” does not have to be instantaneous but can be a protracted process—some form of evolution. The verse as a proof text for this position, Psalm 102:18, the idea being that the Jewish “people” are being gradually created (“molded”) into a nation that will eventually bring praise to God.

This type of scriptural distortion illustrates the extremes to which theistic evolutionists and progressive creationists will go in order to force long evolutionary ages into Scripture. In the context, the psalmist is not speaking of a long process, but a future event; a time to “have mercy upon Zion,” when “the time to favor her, yea, the set time, is come” (Psalm 102:13). At that future time, “the LORD . . . shall appear in His glory” (Psalm 102:16). Then will come the glorious day “when the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD” (Psalm 102:22).

It is only then that “the people shall be created” who “shall praise the LORD.” When a person receives the Lord Jesus Christ by faith as his Creator and Savior, he does indeed become “a new [creation]” (2 Corinthians 5:17), born again John 3:3, 7 and the miracle of regeneration is always recognized in Scripture as an instantaneous event accomplished by the Creator in the mind and heart of the believer at the time of conversion.  Source

1-13-20, * -- At CNN's Climate Town Hall, setting out to save the world by having ten of the 2020 Democrat presidential candidates, their staffers et al fly out to appear in the fake news network's facilities, presidential candidate Bernie Sanders [IND-VT] proposed saving the planet by killing the children [he supports abortion].  [He has one child born out of wedlock to girlfriend Susan Campbell Mott; Levi Noah Sanders, was born in 1969.] Sanders discussed the importance of "educating everyone on the need to curb population growth." Once upon a time, environmental activists claimed that they wanted to save the planet for the children; now they want to save the planet from the children … it’s become a popular environmental cause. [..] Reducing populations for social integrity was the specialty of such innovative environmental activists as Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot and Mohammed.

While Bernie wants to reduce the world’s children; Senator Cory Booker [D-NJ] wants to get rid of meat; California Dem Senator Kamala Harris wants to ban straws [Booker & Harris had to drop out of presidential 2020 race]. More things the libs want eliminated to save the planet:

1. Kids: Apparently Bernie Sanders & Cory Booker believe there are just too many kids and burgers for the planet. And if you take a kid out for a burger, you might as well be running over polar bears in a Hummer or holding a Climate Town Hall in Manhattan. In a letter from Lancet Planetary Health by assorted scientists, grad students, people who claim to be scientists, and people who once watched an episode of Cosmos, demanded that meat consumption drop by 2030.
2. Wine is out: New York Times recently inquired, "How Does Your Love of Wine Contribute to Climate Change?” The Times never gets around to asking its readers how their love of lies printed on the skin of dead trees is killing the planet.
3. Coffee: A large cappuccino, the kind that pays Starbucks to indoctrinate staffers on their white privilege for asking crazed vagrants to stop shooting up heroin in the non-gendered bathrooms, has a carbon footprint of 235g. [like a car trip from Los Angeles to San Francisco] One pound of roasted coffee produces an average of 11 pounds of carbon.
4. Bottled water: The ecos have been waging a long bitter war on bottled water. "A million bottles a minute: world’s plastic binge ‘as dangerous as climate change," a typically non-hysterical Guardian headline bleats.
5. Large automobiles: They want all common folk aka unwashed masses to drive around in sardine can cars or ride the bus.​

The environmentalists claim that if they're not allowed to have their way, the planet will be destroyed. And question is … what in your life will environmentalists allow you to keep? The answer is nothing. They will take everything from us that make life worth living.

God Created Canine Paws With Special Blood Vessels That Protect Them From Cold

 A new study published in the Journal Veterinary Dermatology, dogs’ paw pads contain lots of fatty tissue – which doesn’t freeze as easily as other tissues. The blood vessels in dogs’ feet are arranged in a way that lets them act like living heat exchangers: arteries in the paws are very close to networks of tiny veins (venules), facilitating the transfer of heat from venous to arterial blood. When a paw is cooled by contact with frozen ground, warmth from the arteries in the paw is transferred to the venules. This helps keep the paw at a tolerable temperature.

In addition, it warms the blood before it flows back to the body – thus helping keep the dog’s body temperature from falling uncomfortably low. Thank YOU, God!

1-15-20, Express.co.uk -- On Jan 15, 2020 Russian prime minister Dmitry Medvedev submitted his resignation to President Vladimir Putin. Mr Medvedev then announced he and the entire Russian government is resigning. Russian news agencies said despite Pres Putin's thanking members, he noted the prime minister's Cabinet failed to fulfil all the objectives set for it. During Vladimir Putin's annual state of the nation address, Jan 15, 2020 he proposed amending the constitution which would increase the powers of prime ministers and cabinet members. The proposed changes are seen as part of Mr Putin's efforts to create a new position of power for himself, in order for him to stay at the helm after his current term as president ends in 2024.

If the Lord God cast judgment on Adam, the Jews, Pharaoh, Sodom/Gomorrah – world in flood and many more; why do we scoff at the proclamations in God's word that He will fulfill His end time warnings? [Hebrews 9:27] The Lord God almighty loves us so much He warns us and sent a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, for all repentant sinners who trust Him for their eternal salvation. John 14:6

We also have the hope of His second appearing. Apart from His virgin birth, sacrifice on the cross for our sins and rising from the dead; we also know from Revelation 19:11-14 that when He does come to the earth again that we will be with Him. This requires, as Paul also wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:52 our being "changed" from mortal to immortal and these corruptible bodies must become incorruptible. Three things to consider regarding this transition:

1. Our citizenship is in Heaven - Philippians 3:20-21, Christ's resurrection from the dead and ascension into heaven was not going to be limited to just Him. He was the firstborn, meaning the first to rise from the dead and remain alive forevermore. [Jesus also brought Lazarus from death before Jesus' crucifixion - John 11:1–44.]
2. We are predestined - Romans 8:29-30, 2 "For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers. And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified."
3. Many believers have already passed [fallen asleep]; but those who are alive and remain when Jesus, as a conquering King, returns - will bypass death and be instantly conformed into the image of Christ and thus return with Him. The Lord will appear and meet them/us in the air with the bodily resurrected saints who had died. Both groups will be made immortal and incorruptible in a moment and twinkling of an eye. Revelation 19:11; 1 Corinthians 15:52-53; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 

Our existence as Christians is not a pitiable one and these are words of great comfort. Someday, these lowly bodies will be transformed into glorious bodies like that of the Lord Jesus. [Philippians 3:21] Until then, we are to eagerly pray, watch and wait for His return. [Mark 13:33, 37] We are to live with full expectancy of the Lord's appearing at any moment in the air to meet the resurrected saints and those of us who are alive. Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus. 2. Shavuot [aka Pentecost] — all males shall appear before Hashem your God in the place that He will choose. Also called "The Feast of Weeks" to travel to Jerusalem (Exodus 23:14–17; 34:22–23; Deuteronomy 16:16). This important feast gets its name from the fact that it starts seven full weeks, or exactly 50 days, after the Feast of Firstfruits. Since it takes place exactly 50 days after the previous feast, this feast is also known as “Pentecost” (Acts 2:1), which means “fifty.” [Also 50 days after the resurrection of Messiah the Lord Jesus Christ. Acts 2:1-4]
3. Sukkot [aka Tabernacles] As a feast instituted by God, Sukkot was never forgotten. It was celebrated in the time of Solomon (2 Chronicles 8:13). In fact, it was during Sukkot that Solomon’s temple was dedicated (1 Kings 8:2). It was observed during Hezekiah's time (2 Chronicles 31:3; Deuteronomy16:16), and after the return from exile (Ezra 3:4; Zechariah 14:16,18-19).

These Jewish pilgrims would immerse in a mikvah (ritual bath) as part of their spiritual preparation for an encounter with holiness at the site of the Temple. According to Assaf Brezis, manager of Gush Etzion ATV tours, an ancient mikvah, located just south of Jerusalem, that was used by these pilgrims has been renewed by the recent rainfall in Israel and is full enough to use.

​The ancient mikvah was rediscovered just 35 years ago. Although it is currently under the control of the military and has not yet been completely restored, Mr. Brezis spoke excitedly about the Biblical significance of the mikvah and the area surrounding it. He knows it has the potential to captivate Bible-based Jews and Christian alike as he's
witnessed visitors crying at the site, as they come to understand its Biblical significance. 
Visitors imagine an ancient time that the area around the mikvah was crowded with thousands of pilgrims together it often brings them to tears.

It is still possible today to see Jerusalem from the nearby Jewish community of Neve Daniel. Brezis connected this location to Avraham’s vision of Jerusalem on his journey to fulfill God’s command to sacrifice his son Yitzchak (Isaac). On the third day Avraham looked up and saw the place from afar. Since the mikvah hasn’t yet been fully restored, the rainwater-filled pools may only last a few weeks, during Israel’s rainy season. Nevertheless, it’s amazing to see this place, even without the water. More here

In scripture the Islamic Nations are named one by one; those who intend to annihilate the Jewish nation of Israel. And the nation of Iran most vocal with their Gen Salami in 2014 proclaiming they have troops in Lebanon ready to attack Israel; and Turkey's Erdogan not far behind. These current Iranian horrors are no surprise.

​1-13-20, * -- The foreign policy of the immediate past US president [Obama] engineered a destabilization in the Middle East that has resulted in great suffering of humankind as well as advancing the march of end time prophecy. Strategically, that president locked in an irreversible pathway that accelerated world events toward the Ezekiel 38 prophecy where Magog, Meshach and Tubal (Turkey) leads Persia (Iran), Ethiopia (Sudan) and Libya against Israel in the end of times: "To take a spoil, and to take a prey (Ezekiel 38:12)."

Think about the truth in Obama's 2011 Arab Spring, assassinating Libya's head of state, Muammar Gadhafi, promoting the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign policy partner, and sending Iran billions of dollars in cash. Also think about the consequences.

In March 2011, Obama ordered the bombing of Libya, and he did not seek approval of Congress to conduct this act of war. Over six months later, on October 24, 2011, The Daily Jot reported that the "man who occupies the Oval Office [Obama] claimed victory in Libya, spending about a billion dollars of taxpayer money to topple the Gadhafi regime and replace it with Islamic fundamentalism." Indeed, the US had approved the assassination of Libya's head of state and supported a Muslim Brotherhood, [Islamic terror groups] al Qaeda and Islamic State-backed military group to do the dirty deed. These actions were not met with outrage by Democrats in Congress or the mainstream media as they are with the current President Trump ordering the assassination of the Iranian terrorist leader, Soleimani. Obama also bolstered Iran's terror-sponsoring activities as well as its nuclear ambitions. On November 25, 2013, his White House announced that it was entering into a deal with Iran to "stop" its nuclear program. The pact was ratified by the Senate in September 2015, empowering the president to complete a deal with Iran that would allow the terrorist state of Iran to build a nuclear bomb over the next ten years and pay them over $300 billion to do it; some $1.8 billion in cash arrived in Tehran on a pallet. Iran then ignored the deal, advanced its nuclear development, attacked oil tankers, embassies, killed Americans in Iraq, and fomented terrorism around the world. 
 
As current President Donald Trump stated on January 8, 2020 and it is true based on events reported during the previous presidency: "Iran's hostilities substantially increased after the foolish Iran nuclear deal was signed in 2013, and they were given $150 billion, not to mention $1.8 billion in cash. Instead of saying "thank you" to the United States, they chanted "death to America."

In fact, they chanted "death to America" the day the agreement was signed. Then, Iran went on a terror spree, funded by the money from the deal, and created hell in Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Afghanistan, and Iraq." These are the true consequences of bad leadership. These events, set in motion by the previous president, are irreversible and will have even deeper prophetic consequences in the years ahead. The prophecy clock advances each day because of them.
