Update: Ukraine's leader announces end of 30-day martial law
12-26-18, Ukraine 'blinks' ... After a maritime conflict with Moscow in the Black Sea in late November 2018, acting Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko accused Russia of having sharply raised its military presence on the border, with Ukraine warning of the threat of 'full-scale war' and imposed 30 day martial law. He said that Ukraine had boosted its defenses during the 30 days of martial law, which was imposed in 10 regions that adjoin either Russia's borders or areas controlled by Moscow-backed separatists, as well as along the coast of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. Poroshenko also said that one of the reasons to end the martial law was the presidential election scheduled for March 31, 2019. Campaigning and elections are banned under martial law, he explained. Critics previously attacked the acting president, saying he used the incident in the Sea of Azov and the martial law to improve his ratings. More from Daily Mail here

Main Stream Hysteria Over the Ships in the Black Sea - Another view from Russia

​11-27-18, Larry Heiniger, Russia -- The hidden issue at play here is that Ukraine’s President Poroshenko is up for re-election scheduled for March 30, 2019. Many Ukrainians wish to throw out the America X- CIA agent who was installed by Obama and Merkel of Germany with the assistance of the Soros’ Yellow revolution.  His own administration is attempting to cause his defeat.  Poroshenko’s trying to use this fabricated Russia incident to convince the Ukraine people that they must re-elect him to save them from Russia.

Since 2014 when Russia took back Crimea they control the mouth of the Azov Sea and have built the Kerch Strait Bridge across the mouth of the sea controlling access to the Black Sea.  Under the existing laws, Ukraine MUST obtain permission from Russia to navigate the strait to the bridge that is in Russian territory.  In the past, Ukraine was always granted permission and the Russian Navy escorted their NAVY ships to the Black Sea and back.  However, this time Poroshenko attempted to sail these very same ships that had legally made the passage in the past, through the strait without permission knowing what would happen.  It’s his re-election gambit.

​Near the Russian Naval Base the Crimea Kerch Bridge [1] was recently constructed by Russia, it is an engineering marvel of the 21st century; I traveled across it twice on a recent ten day tour.  Security is very tight as Ukraine continually threatens to destroy it by bomb laden tourist buses or with ships sailing under it.

I would expect Haley to make a statement [2] while she still has the chance, the report is so biased that it has no relevance to the actual incident it is the same old ‘Russia poisoned their own spy,’ when UK’s MI6 clowns actually were to blame. The UK is more than happy to join the anti-Russia band wagon as a smoke screen on their own problems because of the USA FISA court treason of their MI6 involvement.
 
Some history: Crimea has belonged to Russia for more than four centuries*; it has been a part of Russia since there was a Russia. In 1945 the Yalta [Crimea] Treaty [3] that ended WWII with Germany was signed at Yalta between, Churchill, Stalin and Roosevelt. Russian Christianity was born in Crimea more than four centuries ago at Sevastopol. In the 1950s Nikita Khrushchev gave Crimea to Ukraine friends; it was a political “gift.”
