What Does Defund the Police Really Mean? 
6-14-20, TheAtlantic -- 'Defund the Police' Does Not Mean Defund the Police. Although the protesters explicitly, and without a doubt sincerely, have said they no longer wanted any police in their neighborhoods. They say “Defund the police” but it does not mean defunding the police, except when it does, whether next week or in the next decade. One observer who insists on taking the phrase both seriously and literally is Joe Biden. On Monday the presumptive Democrat nominee hastened to let American voters know that he doesn’t like the idea, whatever it is...

<-- Biden himself was recently tripped up by a literal reading of the slogan “Believe women.” Many of his supporters joined him in insisting the words be taken merely seriously, to mean “Believe women, but not Tara Reade his accuser.”

The number of activists, partisans, and politicians who hop back and forth across the literal/serious divide—saying something with no expectation they will be taken at their word—will only grow this season. The spectacle raises the obvious question of how we should take them: seriously, or literally? The answer, of course, is neither.

MS Gov Reeves says efforts to defund police make no sense
6-8-20, Mississippi Gov Tate Reeves said, "We are a nation of laws. We must stand up and protect those who get up and put on the uniform every single day to protect our families. So the notion that we're going to defund the police makes no sense. In fact, we ought to be talking about and having a conversation about spending more money on police. Many times, these incidents are occurring because you're putting police officers in a situation in which they have fear because they don't have proper backup and, in many instances, proper training."

Lawsuit to enforce safety measures at Pres Trump's Oklahoma rally denied
6-17-20, Attorneys Clark Brewster and Paul DeMuro, Tulsa, OK filed a lawsuit claiming Pres Trump's 'KEEP AMERICA GREAT' rally would endanger the public's health; because the rally is bringing thousands of people into an indoor arena. The lawyers wanted to enforce masks and social distancing at the Saturday, June 20, 2020 rally where reportedly a million people have requested tickets. The lawyers argued that the Covid virus cases in the city of Tulsa and state of Oklahoma increased since June 1, 2020 [YEAH A WHOPPING 24 people].

The rally will go forward as scheduled at the BOK Center with overflow audiences going to the Cox Convention Center. Each person entering the arena will have their temperature checked, provide masks and hand sanitizer.
