2012 Buenos Aires: Renowned French Nature Photographer, Laurent Schwebel Was Murdered By Thieves
2-8-12, French photographer, Laurent Schwebel was in Buenos Aires Plaza San Martin, when thief, Victor Ramon Gimenez tried to steal his camera while he was taking pictures of the monument honoring the Argentine Malvinas War memorial. Schwebel fought back and was stabbed to death.
The thief has a long history of crimes and assaults in Argentina and was taken in ten times previously - but never held. [I hope they gave him life.] More here
