4-7-19, ABCNews -- Good Samaritan, 41 yr old Craig Brewer was fatally shot over the weekend while handing out $20 bills and paying for meals of strangers.
According to deputies, witnesses reported that the fight started when Hick's female companion became angry that Brewer’s Good Samaritan generosity didn’t extend to her.
Daily Mail, more here -- On Sunday, 4-7-19 a good Samaritan man, 41 year old Craig Brewer was shot dead after authorities say he got into an argument with a patron at a restaurant where the victim had been handing out cash and paying for strangers' meals. The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, said Mr. Brewer was gunned down at the Waffle House on Newbury Road in Gainesville, located about four miles from the University of Florida campus. Reportedly the killer was 25-year-old Ezekiel Hicks who got into a verbal argument with Brewer, because his lady friend didn't receive $20. so he went to his car got his gun went back into the restaurant and shot Mr Brewer in the head killing him.
