Canada Budget allocates $600 million for G7 meeting
The next biggest spending is by Canada's foreign affairs department, with $100 million of Global Affairs Canada's budget dedicated to pulling off the G7 presidency and shepherding Trudeau's turn to play host.

6-8-18, Fox News -- President Trump on Friday called for Russia to be reinstated to the group of leading industrial nations meeting at the G-7 summit in Quebec; he said:
“It doesn’t matter what you call it. It used to be G-8, now Russia is out. Why are we having a meeting without Russia? I would recommend Russia should be a part of it. Russia should be in this meeting. Whether you like it or not and it may not be politically correct, but we have a world to run. G-7 threw Russia out. They should let Russia come back in."
In 2014 Russia was ousted from the group of leading nations—France, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom and the U.S. [Obama] following its annexation of Crimea. More here
Pew Poll: Crimeans happy with "annexation" by Russia
5-12-14, The latest survey in Ukraine by the Pew Research Center, reveals 91% of Crimeans believe the recent referendum was free and fair and only 4% believe Ukraine is correct in not recognising the referendum results and are a true reflection of the will of the Crimean people. This Pew poll was based on face-to-face interviews between April 5-23, 2014 with 1,659 randomly selected adults across Ukraine and Russia and the results may come as a surprise to those who depend on Western corporate media for information about current affairs. The Crimean people are happy with Russia ... the G7 is wrong. More here

The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) went into effect under Bill Clinton in 1994. Mexico, Canada & the US became the largest free market in the world. The combined economies of the three nations at that time measured $6 trillion and directly affected more than 365 million people. Small businesses were among those that were expected to benefit the most from the lowering of trade barriers since it would make doing business in Mexico and Canada less expensive and would reduce the red tape needed to import or export goods; hasn't worked out that way.
