Israel: New Homes Approved in Judea & Samaria [aka West Bank]

Israel has approved the construction of 285 new Jewish homes in Judea & Samaria, according to the settlement watchdog Peace Now. A 234-unit nursing home in Elkana, 30 houses in Beit Arye and 20 in Givat Zeev got the go-ahead on Tuesday. Retrospective permits were also issued for 179 existing homes in Ofarim. The US said it was "deeply concerned" and warned that settlement expansion posed a "very serious and growing threat" to peace with the Palestinians. more

It makes me sick that our government has the nerve to lecture Israeli officials for building homes and communities for their own people. What other country would put up with constant threats of terrorism, having to run into bomb shelters every time the Palestinian terrorists decide to launch rockets into Israeli neighborhoods? The US major news stations don't even report on those things.
