9-10-18, Senator Cory Booker knows full well who Black Power and Black Panther friend, Stokely
Carmichael aka Kwame Ture was. Kwame Ture was a Trinidadian-born prominent organizer in the Black Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s. Carmichael hated whites and Jews and he said, 'the greatest white man is Hitler.' His name changed in respect of two post-colonial heads of state in Guinea and Ghana respectively. More here
In 1969 Carmichael remained in Guinea after separation from the Black Panther Party. He continued to travel, write and speak in support of international leftist movements. In 1971 he published his collected essays in a second book, Stokely Speaks: Black Power Back to Pan-Africanism. This book expounds an explicitly socialist, Pan-African vision, which he retained for the rest of his life. From the late 1970s until the day he died, he answered his phone by announcing, "Ready for the revolution!" More here
Booker quoted Carmichael in June of 2017 and again in July of 2018 reminding attendees that “change has never come from Washington, change comes to Washington by people demanding and struggling for it.”
