President Trump's Military Parade is Another Smart Plan & It's Not a New Idea: Done in 1961 & 19912-8-18, CNBC -- President Trump's move to hold a military parade this July 4, 2018 makes a lot of political sense. Everybody calm down. It is a smart move in the most non-fascist and democratic terms possible. Unlike fascist regimes, President Trump needs voter support; winning over new voters. But the real imperative for an incumbent is to keep and acknowledge the voters who got you in office in the first place. The president can now take a page out of his shutdown strategy and make the point that the parade would really be a celebration of the troops and ask why any American would oppose that. The president knows that one of the reasons he won the election is largely due to active duty troops and veterans. This parade idea works and fighting or ridiculing it could be a dangerous trap for those who oppose him. More here Trump military parade: It's not a new idea Pres Kennedy [Democrat] had quite a display at his inauguration, nukes and all in 1961. The last parade was after Desert Storm in 1991. President Trump's Fourth of July Military Parade has liberals hysterical
President Trump intends to celebrate our military and troops with a 4th of July parade. It's a great idea, and is a perfect event symbolizing America's power and appreciation for her military. It's a perfect event symbolizing the fact that America is getting back on her feet after eight years of a commander-in-chief who reveled in complaining about America and decimating our military. You can hear the naysayers’ contempt hiding under a cover of faux respect in the arguments against a parade, but most share one thing: a revulsion at the idea of military hardware being seen and celebrated. For other whiners, it’s being against anything they think will make President Trump even more popular. Ultimately, the attitude that having a parade is dangerous or bad sends a specific message: that Americans can’t be trusted, that we should be ashamed of ourselves and embarrassed by our strength. And there is another important reason to have a parade: to signal to the world that America is indeed back, our hands are untied, and we are again standing up. Comments are closed.
