3] Both had Democrat opponents who were ex US Vice Presidents
   
a. Reagan had Walter Frederick Mondale, (born January 5, 1928, Ceylon, Minnesota, U.S.), 42nd vice president of the United States (1977–81) in the 2nd worst administration of President Jimmy Carter, Democrat.
   
b. Trump currently has Joseph Robinette Biden, (born November 20, 1942, Scranton, Pennsylvania, U.S.), 47th vice president of the United States (2009–17) in the worst administration of President Barack Hussein Obama, Democrat.

4] Both Reagan & Trump were former Democrats

5] In 1984 Reagan won a landslide re-election victory gaining a mandate for continuation of his conservative policies from voters all across America. He promised to seek further tax rate reductions and curbs on the growth of the federal government. He carried 49 states [Mondale won his home state of Minnesota] and winning the largest electoral college total in history: 525. He won 59 percent of the popular vote in what may have been a record voter turnout. In his 1980 race with President Jimmy Carter, Reagan only lost six states and the District and had 51 percent of the votes and a 10-point margin in a three-way race involving independent candidate John B. Joe Biden went to Kenosha, Wisconsin
According to Time.com met 48 community leaders
​and met with Jacob Blake family

9-4-20, WASHINGTON (AP) — Joe Biden is meeting with the family of Jacob Blake  and met with community leaders in a Kenosha church on roughly 48 people waited on the street outside who represented the coalition that Biden is counting on to win the White House: moderate suburban women and disaffected Black voters, union workers and remorseful Donald Trump supporters, first-time voters and grizzled activists; many still need persuading. Biden ended his visit at a local home on a leafy street nearby, meeting with educators and parents about the challenges of starting a new school year during the pandemic. As he left the meeting, roughly 200 neighbors who had spilled out of their homes to see him from their lawns. [Biden will be 78 on Nov 20, 2020 after the election.]
