Update: Democrats Release Rebuttal to GOP FISA Court Spying 
2-24-18, The Democratic rebuttal finds that the FBI had an "independent basis" for investigating Page's motivations, and that he had been targeted for recruitment by the Russians. And that the DOJ "repeatedly informed the Court about Steele's background, credibility, and potential bias." Also that the Justice Dept infomed the FISA court that Stelle was hired by "politically-motivated U.S. persons [aka Mrs Clinton] and entities and that his research appeared intended for use "to discredit" Trump's campaign. The memo does not directly challenge [aka deny] that former FBI Deputy Dir Andrew McCabe testified to the House Committee that "they would not have sought the Page surveillance warrant" if it hadn’t been for the ridiculous Steele dossier. Journalist Michael Isikoff Shocked His Yahoo News Article Was Used in Fisa Warrant Against Carter Page
2-3-18,  Isikoff is essentially saying the same thing as the Nunes memo – his article was self-referential to Steele and the dossier, not corroboration of any facts. Both of their justifications for the warrant were impaired and invalid. He said it was “a bit beyond me” that the FBI would use his article in the FISA application.

2-2-18, WORSE THAN 1973 WATERGATE, Pres Nixon resigned [1973-1974] ... The Nunes memo/report explains and documents how the fictional 'Russia "dossier/report" was key to FBI’s FISA warrant to surveil members of Team Trump one Carter Page. The dossier — and the Isikoff report — identified the two Russian men met by Page as Igor Sechin and Igor Diveykin. Page has denied ever meeting them and is suing Yahoo! News for publishing the article suggesting he had. More here

The crux of the 'memo' - the Obama authorities in the Dept of Justice [Loretta Lynch] and FBI [James Comey, Strzok & Lisa Page' more] deceived the FISA judge using a phony report [Russia so called 'dossier'] to unlawfully gain authority for the despicable surveillance of a political candidate and his staff. [Following are all four pages that I marked up/highlighted with photos--Annette]

2-2-18, Washington Times -- Republicans released a long-awaited memo Friday detailing government surveillance abuses, showing that the FBI would not have obtained a surveillance warrant for the Trump campaign without using information from a dubious partisan dossier;
six take-aways:

1. The FBI relied heavily on Democratic Party dossier to obtain three surveillance warrants before the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. The FBI did not tell the court the information came from a Democratic Party-financed opposition research. FBI knew source.
2. In one application to judges, FBI cited two sources, the dossier and a story by Yahoo News. But the Yahoo story was based on the dossier. Not really two sources.
3. Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe said warrants on Trump volunteer Carter Page could not have been obtained without dossier.
4. Dossier writer Christopher Steele lied to FBI when he said he did not speak with media. He has said in libel case that he spoke to reporters repeatedly.
5. FBI fired Mr. Steele. He then continued to funnel information to the agency through former associate deputy attorney general Bruce Ohr. Bruce Ohr’s wife worked for Fusion GPS, the opposition research that paid Mr. Steele. She passed Fusion research to the FBI, which never disclosed source to FISA court.
6. Mr. Steele said he wanted to destroy Trump’s presidency with a dossier that remains discredited. More here

2-2-18, Annette -- There are no security secrets in it - only unlawful ones that the enemies of the country don't want the people to know; no wonder the Democrats have fought so hard to block its release.  It is worse and more explosive than advertised! I've been watching some of the cable news pundits today; arguing this is a "nothing burger."

One item the Democrats are using as a defense argument is  the final comment from McCabe that the Steele dossier/report was the fundamental source of evidence used to secure the FISA warrant ... I can't find that testimony as this isn't a quote. Anyone have it please submit, thank you. Full copy of memo here:
