The World's in Turmoil; But I Have Peace
3-6-17, How is it possible to be at peace when we see such mayhem, hatred and turmoil in the world?
Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." John 14:27
Our Messiah and Savior, Jesus has made it clear that the peace we seek is bought, assured, and sustained by Him alone. Jesus said we must be born again. Only then can we have peace. However, lost and wicked mankind are like a tossing sea; for it cannot be quiet and its waters toss up mire and dirt. God said:
‘There is no peace ‘for the wicked.’
Only those who have been forgiven living their lives in obedience to the Lord Jesus, can have His peace.
Therefore, any attempt to feel peace in this chaotic world apart from the peace of Christ … will always fall short.
