Daniel: Three Great Middle Eastern Empires Ruled the Holy Land - Gentiles ruled until 1948 AD2014, Ellis Skolfield -- Daniel chapter 7 is primarily about four beasts, the first three were a Lion, a Bear and a Leopard. Those three beasts are identified by context as the three great Middle Eastern empires who ruled the holy land from 606 B.C. until 65 B.C. History shows those empires to have been: Babylon, Medo-Persia and Greece, each of which controlled the whole Middle East including the Holy Land. Once we understand John's leopard-bear-lion composite [in Revelation], of Daniel's lion, bear and leopard "beasts", to be another in the chain of successive kingdoms that conquered and controlled the Middle East and the holy land oppressing God's people - today as the Islamic Empire - all falls neatly into place. The deadly wound inflicted on the First Jihad of the Islamic Empire "And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." Revelation 13:3 The deadly wound of the seventh head of the leopard-bear-lion beast was delivered by the hand of Charles "Martel" ("The Hammer") in the Battle of Tours France. This battle marked the zenith of, and was responsible for the demise of the Islamic First Jihad. Daniel penned the year of this epic battle of 732 AD with his 1335 "days". Many believe this to be the most important battle of the Christian era, and the reason the whole world isn't speaking Arabic today and bowing toward Mecca in Saudi Arabia. In Daniel 7:23 he said, "The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, shall tread it down and break it in pieces." Beasts in prophecy are empires throughout the Bible! Guess what, Revelation 13 is also about those same three beasts, but in this chapter they are shown as one beast, a Leopard-Bear-Lion beast. In other words, all three empires would be rolled into one new empire that would control the Holy Land some time during the Christian era. And it did for 1310 years, from 639 A.D. until the new nation of Israel was established in 1948. The Islamic mosque the Dome of the Rock was built in 688 AD. Many believe it is the 'abomination of desolation' mentioned in Mark 13:14 - 'STANDING WHERE IT OUGHT NOT.' ![]() Islam is the Leopard-Bear-Lion beast of Revelation 13 and he had two horns:
![]() The mouth that was given to the beast was the Islam leader Mohammed and his book the Quran that apparently was created between 609-632 AD when he died. The Quran speaks such blasphemy as "God has no Son" and is inscribed on the dome. Power was given to this beast to continue 42 "months". Revelation 13:5 Clearly we can visually see that today the hordes of Islamic men are infiltrating by jihad of migration into the west. The Leopard-Bear-Lion’s wound is healed and Islam once again threatens the Western World!
