Men of the Bible Series: Daniel
Daniel, a prophet and a high government official. Captured as a young man and led in chains away from his homeland, Israel to the city of Babylon, Daniel was pressed into the service of the pagan king, Nebuchadnezzar.
His story begins when he was thrown into a den of lions and was not harmed. He was an interpreter of dreams and as a writing prophet he presented a clear picture of God’s power, His personality and His plans. Daniel provides detailed predictions about events, some of which have already occurred.
God told Daniel:
"Shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased." Daniel 12:4
Many have misinterpreted the prophecy in Daniel. Clearly knowledge has been hidden ... perhaps now it is increased; so we can better discern God's truths. Hopefully we are in the End Times and Jesus will soon appear.
