Men of the Bible Series: Job Job is the original good guy in the age-old question: Why do bad things happen to good people? The Bible says he was from Uz, was perfect, feared God, did no evil, had seven sons and three daughters. He was very rich; had thousands of animals and a very great household; he was the greatest of all the men of the east. Almighty God was asked by Satan if Job would honor him if he had some troubles? God had great confidence in His servant Job and allowed Satan to shower him with calamity. He lost his wealth, ten children and his health. Left with nothing but suffering, his wife and friends were no comfort. Instead of encouraging him, they accused him, but Job remained faithful in all his pain and suffering when his despicable wife:  Job was covered in boils when his wife said to him, "Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die."
Job replied: "Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speak. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this, Job never spoke against God." Job 2:9-10 There is a happy ending to Job's Life "The LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: he had more animals, ten children. And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and he gave them inheritance.
